    I have the 692 X-trap 32”. It’s been 3 years since my purchase and is the finest firearm I own. I love it, shortly after my purchase I shot my first 25. It’s definitely a keeper! A bit pricey but it was worth it to me. No issues ever with mine.

    I have had my 692 Black for about 5 years and it's a great gun just point it and it never misses. The ejectors can be a bit difficult to remove and finding out how to do it properly can be troublesome. I shoot about 90 cartridges a week and it never lets me down.

    • @jwtpsu

      Any tips on how? I can get the selectors out but then the ejectors don't come out. What am I missing? Thanks

    well this is where two world's divide you have david who is an out and right browning shooter, and very rarely ever gives a good review on a beretta abit like his semi automatic reviews. the only good review for the semi auto was the browning maxus. i have had two beretta 692, and i am now shooting an adjustable stock version . having traded my browning 525 in for it, it was a bit back heavy having interfered with the weights and took the odd weight out the gun now sits dead level even at the hinge pin. the recall is minimum which you dont even notice its a joy to shoot . keep up the good works with your videos.

    Hi David, I do like the Beretta 692, IT IS A GREAT SHOOTER. No recoil and easy to break down. My kind of skeet shotgun. Thanks...Jack

      You'd soon be pi55ed if you did. 😁 It's all very well saying this gun/that gun is too high/too low in the comb, what we need is actual drop dimensions to compare with other guns.

    Good work David, really enjoying your content, quick suggestion, if I may, as I know you enjoy (as do the viewers) do something a bit unusual or different if you have one come in, could you show a Churchill xxv or the AyA copy and explain a bit about it and the history behind it. Be great to see you and Doug talking about the different schools of thought on shooting since WW1 ie Stanbury, Lancaster, Churchill and how that influenced changes and fashion in guns and shooting .

    I had a new 692 Black in 2017. Mucking about with weights in the stock made no difference and the weights on the barrel left permanent marks. when the ejector cam fell out, I sold it and went Browning. Keep it simple, have a lesson, and try before you buy. If only I had done that!

    Got a 692 just like this one, love it shooting a few times a month atm. very little recoil to speak of, prefer it to comparable Browning personal preference - agree about the black edition looks great though, the rib is carbon also, tried the 694 it's a little chunkier in the hand feels good/comfortable probably next purchase though that's a long way off as I'm enjoying the 692 still.

    Hi I purchased one of these earlier this year the forend came off the first time I shot it then it came off the next two times I took it out then the ejectors started to stick or not work or only one would work so took it back and got my money back the Worst Gun I have ever had in nearly 50 years of shooting

    I had one of these a couple of years ago. It looked good and promised much but boy was it a disappointment. The barrels got very hot very quickly, the thing kicked like a mule and overall the build quality was poor. I sold it and bought a Browning XS Pro which is sort of one of the 692s rivals but far far better.

  • @335fusion

    You could have lightened the stock? That's the point of B-fast, which you did not mention

  • @littledaddynesbit4193
    @littledaddynesbit4193 6 місяців тому

    ...fast barrels usual means the guns not balanced, with too much weight in front of the hinge? My Sliver Pig was too fast but 6oz of lead in the stock slowed it down and moved the balance to the hinge..

    From what I can gather, the 692 had mixed reviews with the Beretta die hard, very much a marmite gun. Did absolutely zilch for me, plain and boring, yes, it’s a clay gun. For me the black action on this gun does look better, and I would shell out the extra, however, I’d still buy a DT. Picked up a 694 for the first time the other day, not me either.

    The 692 has been replaced by the better 694 (IMO), and it's like you said much too light in the front. Perhaps little bit better with 32' barrels on it.

    • @a.c.007
      @a.c.007 2 роки тому

      For a DT11 I would of traded in a couple or so years ago, but there is a big weight difference between the two and now I have a back injury I have I would stick to the 682 which are a great gun. I traded in my 725 Pro trap because of the weight of it for the 694. A friend has a 682 and won't part with it because it's one of the few Berettas that were well made unlike their modern guns.

    I still like this channel, but stuff like chopping off the first half second of the intro really doesn't help. It's just sloppy.

    The 692 is the biggest heap of rubbish Beretta have made in my opinion. I had the misfortune of owning two the first one was scrapped with it firing less than a slab of cartridges through it. It's replacement broke within a similar amount of cartridges fired through it. As soon as it came back from repair I sold it. Currently have the 694 a far better gun, did take out the 10 year warranty just in case.

    Buyer be aware to purchasing
    a Beretta they do not stand behind their name here in the States. The service department does not stand behind their warranty they just put you on hold with nothing resolved.
