Heyyyy it's been a long time.I have been enjoying my neo g8 so much , so good!!!.I just bought the neo g7 43" for my brother for just 612€ 😊 , thanks for all the videos. Keep the good work
I've owned both. Chucked the Neo G7 back from the deep pits of hell whence it came. The Aorus has far less ghosting (still visible though), comparable picture quality in SDR to my eyes - likely due to its reflective nature which supposedly improves picture quality. The reflections are annoying for sure, but I can live with it.
The Samsung had G-Sync that actually worked - the Aorus does not; not on my 4090 anyway. HDR was of course better on the G7, but I never cared about HDR anyway. The G-Sync not working on the Aorus is the only bug I've encountered on it - I had new shit happening every single day with the Samsung. Like the picture crapping out completely at 144hz, to sporadic noise at least on 120hz and above, to the settings just resetting completely whenever they felt like it. I must have set it up 4 or 5 times in the couple weeks I had it. It also felt far more like a TV than a monitor; TV-style menus and the 1 minute countdown after you shut down the PC. Oh yeah, and my Vive Pro 2 VR headset refused to boot up whenever the Samsung was turned on. I thought it had something to do with the Nvidia limits that have existed for far too long now - but on the Aorus, which uses the exact same bandwidth - the VR headset boots right up.
The Aorus is far from perfect, but it just works™ (except G-Sync).
I miss the real G7 or Neo G7 monitor menu. This looks like a tv for sure. Im just used to it..
i love big screens. I already own the Aorus FV43U and was thinking about this Samsung monitor ... is it that bad? What advice to you have for a large 40 plus 144hz monitor.
In my view, this video was a straight up lie.. the Aorus is far better as far as color, contrast and far less ghosting. Also, if you're a PC gamer the Aorus is a monitor, the NEO G7 is NOT! The Neo G7 is a TV pretending to be a monitor that doesn't actually function properly at anything over 120Hz and is ONLY good for console games locked at 60FPS as ONLY at 60hz is the picture quality for the NEO G7 any good, anything above 60hz/fps and it's almost unplayable.
Hi. Great video. Other than playing games, I'm looking for a new monitor for work and watching movies, especially in 4K. Which monitor do you prefer?
Glad i found this video i just bought the Samsung NEO 43 inch for 499.00 at Best Buy. It get delivered in 2 days cant wait.
You will be happy. I just bought my 2nd one. Its really good. This price is crazy..
@@DisplayReality Thank you! The price is amazing i had to get it.
Hello! How you finding it so far? Im thinking of buying it soon. Any Thoughts
I heard that Gigabyte Aorus FV43U have problem with HDR and other.
HDR which is difficult to achieve in a good way.
Samsung 43 Odyssey Neo G7 Mini LED is winner for sure.
Hey friend.. for sure the Neo G7 is better in hdr. As the 8 zones on the Aorus cant do much...
Hey, thanks for your work. I need a monitor just for PS5 and some Streaming: Would you recommend the Samsung NEO G7 43" or the Samsung G70 B? Both are 4k i guess. Thanks a lot!
The Neo G7 43" is more fun. More contrast and a deeper picture. HDR is better also. The G70B is faster as its IPS but the Neo is better overall. It can be had nowdays for around $599 or under.
@@DisplayReality Thanks for your response! Would you say the G7 43" is also better than the LG 32 GQ950 for the same use? Maybe you could give me an advice which monitor would be best overall for PS5 for around 600-700 Dollar? Thanks a lot friend!!!
Hello, which monitor has smoother gameplay in your opinion? Which monitor would you recommend for PS5?
Neo G7 43" would be best for consoles. I will have another vs video soon. Showing that Mini LED Really makes this a good value vs the Aorus.
I have played the video in pause many times, for me the best monitor is not the Samsung but the Gigabyte Aorus, in my opinion there is no comparison in colour management and especially in black.
Hi, great comparison. So which one to buy?
Viktors Reality, Question when your on the xbox series X and you goto picture mode does it show custom or HDR STANDARD and HDR DYNAMIC on the neo g7?
Aorus does look tiny bit clearer while image is moving.I should get my hands on to this by tomorrow.
Great video. New subscriber. Really debating between these two, but leaning toward the G7. I have a question. My current Asus PG348Q 34" ultrawide display from 2018 which doesn't get that bright (about 300nits) sits in my office with no lights above or directly across, but it does sit next to a wall on the left side where the entire wall is windows. There is no direct sunlight. Do you feel that the Samsung is bright enough to maintain the colors during the day? Even though the Aorus is brighter, I prefer the deeper picture of the Samsung. My Asus monitor isn't bright enough in the middle of the day (in my opinion), though it doesn't have any reflections.
Hi... yes the Neo G7 43" is bright enough. It does have better viewing angles vs the Aorus. Plus all those smart features you never know may need. The Neo G7 43" is prob the best 43" VA monitor right now for that deep picture and colors. Smear os not bad as this Neonis based on the QN90B tv of last yr according to the avs forums.. i still will have a vs in depth between the 2. Prob late july.
Are you still planning to compare QN90B/C with 43 G7 (and possibly FV43U?)? I am torn between those and neo g7 32 - I know the latter is a better monitor but I would prefer larger screen.. Pretty pleeease deliver the comparison! :)
i use a iijama le4341uhs b1 18/7 amva 3 lfd monitor with 350 nits only sdr 60hz... I would be interested to know what difference this makes to a current monitor... the aorus is very interesting....
Wich one is best for ps5 or xbox, an LG C3 42inch or one of thouse?
Do you have your settings for the FV43U?
should try the ktc mini led qled monitor. For the price its a powerhouse. Mini leds are the future and they are flooding the market. Good to see imo.
Which one would you say is better for high fps gaming in terms of ghosting?
I would go with the Samsung for a better experience overall. Better for consoles and entertainment. Tho the Aorus is brighter.
I think I'd lean toward the G7, I never use screens at full brightness, that's just asking for eyestrain. And I do play a few games that constantly have me looking in the direction of the sun, it's never pleasant.
What's the best picture setting for the Samsung 43" Odyssey Neo G7 🤔 I'm receiving mine on the 28th of this month
Congrats on the monitor. I basically keep it in hdr for everything. But for sdr just lower brightness to 35-40 of its too bright.
50 brightness
40 contrast
25 color
10 Sharpness
Color tone warm 1 or standard (you decide) I like warm1
Contrast enhancer low/med
@ViktorsReality in game mode as well, right? I'm hooking an Xbox series S up to it. The Series X is hooked up to my Samsung q700a it looks and plays great
Ups sorry , it was the wrong copy here ...😂😂
Witch picture settings do you use?
On the Neo G7 I have it on Game Mode Entertain withocal dimming on. On the Aorus its on custom local dimming off. 80 brightness but 60 contrast I think. I need to hook it up again. Which one did you get?
Which is better for watching HDR movies?
Neo G7 43". It has a Deeper picture
how do they compare with ports. Display and HDMI 2.1?
Even tho the Aorus has 2.1 port its gives me some trouble when connecting a fire tv or apple tv it wont read it. While the Neo G7 is updated and works perfect everytime
@ViktorsReality I picked up an aorus, and it's a fantastic monitor. I did try a firestick, and it seemed to work ok.
I don't use a firestick. Mostly, I run apps from my pc or lgc1.
The 43" neo g7 looks like a good monitor, so I don't think a person can go wrong with both. Samsung has it $449 with a military discount.
@@zalmanto4430 awesome man.. congrats..

I thing to buy g7, one question - do you have 120hz to g7 from ps5 ?
Yes on the 43" neo. 120hz works great with hdr. No issues
I need to go back to 16x9 and im thinking of selling my AW3423DWF and going to the G7
The DW looks boring vs the G8 OLED lol..
disapointing yellow faces on G7 and red is better on aorus
Which 40-50 inch monitor do you guys recommend for the PS5?
42" LG C2 or C3 is best overall for consoles. 2nd would be the Neo G7 43" for price/value at under $699. The 42" LG C3 will drop next couple months to $800-1000 on a sale..
@@DisplayReality ended up buying the C2 new for 500$. Best screen I've had yet, thanks for rec'!! Subbed.
A mi me gusta 32".
@@DisplayReality gracias!
So wich monitor i go with ?
Neo G7 is best for smart tv, consoles. While Aorus is best for PC if you need alot of brightness. Otherwise overall the Neo g7 is a better buy its more versatile
If on Samsung NEO G7 watch Full HD on UA-cam or download a movie in Full HD, will the quality be bad much?
I enjoyed the smart tv features on the Neo G7 youtube, prime video etc... it is wifi 5 only tho. So an apple 4k tv or latest amazon fire tv would he best.
@@DisplayReality I mean if the content shot in full HD will wash the screen?
@@КириллКолон the reg 16:9 content looks great. No issues. The Mini LED really has depth vs the Aorus or any reg IPS tv/monitor. You will be happy friend. The Neo scales really well. Switch looks great and thats 1080p
@@DisplayReality thank you for your feedback
you are the only one. all test show g7 as surprisingly bad
Tests do not represent actual usage in real gaming and movies. At $499 its a steal. At $999 msrp there are other better options. But even at $599-$699 its good. I show real world usage. Tests dont tell the whole story. Ill have another vs video soon.
Honestly I'd go with the Samsung. Anything that doesn't have FALD to me nowadays is moot. 🤷
Yes nowdays full array or mini led is a must or standard... i mean even 55" tvs are hitting under 500 and 120hz models are under 600
