One thing that irks me is how some worlds in this game use the same kind of face/tile for different colors of blocks or don't give too much care about making blocks look different, which makes it hard for the colorblind. The original had it spot-on by giving every block type a unique shape that stood out quite easly against one another.

This game was the first I played in my whole life. I had it deleted from my mind. I never finished it; I was too young. The Halloween stage was truly a nightmare, worth if its name.
I know it will never fly, but I secretly hoped for a Kingdom Hearts world, featuring a picture of an epic clash of keys between Sora and Xeha... Ansem. I don't even think "Xehanort" was a thing yet back then.

Holy crap I actually remember this!! As a kid I was signed up as a subject to playtest some recently released games for the DS (mainly movie tie in games for kids), and this one was one of those. I had no idea what it was or why it needed the Disney branding but I loved playing it regardless. :D Never could get past the second Nightmare before Christmas level though, it's music drove me nuts XD
There's also an excellent Disney Tetris. There should be a Disney Videogame Universe (not KH, a real standalone universe like Lego Star Wars and other movie franchises)

I think you missed the biggest difference: Disney is largely refined as a single-player experience. It's less about beating the CPU and more about completing the various objectives. This is why you can do the old Time War modes on any level. Also, which regional version of the game are you playing? My US version uses a different theme for the Mickey level. I think it's Disneyland music, but I'm not sure. I also want to know why Pooh is blurred out in all the footage. China-related?

At first I thought Dawndus, which takes place in the night, and has similar vertical launches and insomniac natives. 5:41 This level looks like a Thirnova. The next one looks like a Brabbit, I intially thought this way about Princess Transformation. Oh wait, the blocks fall down faster in Princess Transformation. I think Princess Transformation is more like a Wuud, another planet where I remember seeing a user with a 7-digit score in Deluge. 8:25 Are you sure this isn't more like Gravitas? More than that, it's like Hotted. And the one after that reminds me of Megadom, where it gets harder to get ignitions off the screen as you combo. Also, a lot of levels are like Dejeh, which isn't even in the original Meteos, but in Meteos Wars.

I decided to gave the game another chance and I like it for what it is. I'm very surprised Meteos has not seen a release on Switch, iOS, or Android. You'd think that be case considering the awesome touch screens on the devices.
Call me silly but I would love a Disney/Pokémon crossover where you will meet our favorite characters’ some of them being Gym Leader. Ariel would be the the Water gym leader’ Jack Squellington would send Ghost Pokemons and Elsa mastering Fire...just kidding around Ice Pokemons.

I've a feeling that the Winnie the Pooh world is Jeljel. Very slow ascents and descents, but the blocks aren't floaty like Luna=Luna.
