What makes Clayton’s death so much more impactful is that Tarzan tried to warn him, but Clayton was too blinded by anger and pride that he pushed Tarzan away. His own arrogance killed him

I'm not surprised, clayton was a foul tempered prick after all.
Also, how Clayton sealed his fate frantically slashing at the vines not to save himself, but to get at and kill Tarzan. He could have easily dealt with the vines in a way this wouldn't have happened and maybe even get to Tarzan. However, he was trying to destroy them as quickly as possible, without so much as a thought to the ones wrapping around his neck. All rational thought leaving Clayton is ultimately what led to his death.
He thought he was a man fighting a monster, but it was really the other way around.
A quick RIP to Pat Carroll who brought both Ursula and her crazy sister to life, with her stellar voice work.
Part of my childhood died especially when my birthday is on the same day as her which also hits me too
Ursula scared the hell out of me when I was little!

When I heard she past away. My heart shattered because she was my favorite villain actress to a overrated film.
In my opinion
Clayton's death is especially hard since it was a death that the protagonist WAS DESPERATE TO AVOID.
Tarzan was pretty much begging him to stop cutting the vines since he realized it started to twist around his neck and the first thing Tarzan does after he lands is look up to see what happened to Clayton.

His neck snapped when he couldn't fall any further.
Clayton is a different kind of villain altogether. He's not some magic user or dealing with any kind of supernatural forces, no. He is a poacher and a criminal. His character is completely true to life. There are people like him that actually exist. Clayton is a Real World villain.
Because of that, Clayton doesn't get an exaggerated or outlandish death. He gets a Real Death. A death that could actually happen, and that's why it frightens us. It crosses that line between fantasy and reality, and to great effect.
Was it too far? In my opinion, no. It was just far enough.
@@themisfitowl2595 Fun Fact: the only reason why Clayton exists is because the writers wanted an excuse for Tarzan to stay in the Jungle. The movie was originally going to end by Tarzan moving to England, but the writers felt that would contradict the message of Family.👨👩👦
I feel Mother Gothel's death was quite brutal in that she ages super quick and gets that dramatic fall only to reveal there's nothing left of her but dust.
Traumatized me, but at least in the og she didn't turn into a goddamn tree thanks to Marluxia!
Fun fact: Gothel's dress was inspired by medieval/renaissance styled dresses, wich women used to wear around 400 years before the time period that the movie is set in. This is meant to emphasize how old she actually is.
Imagine if it went the route of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

It’s kind of ironic, really. Gothel wanted to preserve her youth, but in doing so she signed her own death warrant. She was already an old lady when she found the flower, so who knows how long she was using it before Rapunzel gained its magical abilities. The flower’s magic became like Gothel’s life support. Her body didn’t know how to preserve itself without the aid of the de-ageing properties. She was killed by the thing she valued the most.
Actually, there’s a further connection between Syndrome’s death and Edna’s “No Capes” speech as the second example she brought up (StratoGale) also died because her cape got caught in a jet turbine. So it was actually directly foreshadowed.

There’s actually a theory that Edna actually made Syndrome’s costume and purposely added a cape because she knew that Syndrome was the bad guy and she wanted to stop him.
Syndrome's cape was also the cause of all of the trouble back when he was "Incrediboy." It was Bomb Voyage sticking a bomb to his cape that forced Mr. Incredible to save him (letting Bomb Voyage go) and then blew up the railroad track.
Ernesto’s death has another bit of brilliance if you take another thing into account; if you remember in the film, an easy way to get yourself cursed is by stealing from the dead. Ernesto may have very well sealed his own fate when he stole Hector’s guitar and songbook.
Tumblr user *eccentwrit* put it best: _“Hector was 21 when he died, and Word of God says that was in 1921. Ernesto died in 1942, 21 years after Hector’s death. The minute Ernesto picked up that guitar his days were numbered, for every year Hector lived.”_

One thing I noticed is that Cruella De Vil never actually gets killed off in any of the movies. In the animated movie, her car crashes off a cliff yet survives. In the 1st live action remake, she gets pushed into molasses, somehow survives. In 102 dalmatians, she gets turned into a literal cake. Again she survives.
In conclusion, Cruella is immortal

You know, I would have loved for a few of the "Near Deaths" to be mentioned.
Jafar getting trapped in a lamp as a Genie, Captain Hook swimming away from the Crocodile, Hades being dragged down into the River of Souls etc.

And in the ps1 game 102 dalmations: puppies to the rescue, she gets coated in sone super glue she was going to use to turn all the puppies into living statues and sell them as toys… and she survives!

Another great thing about Frollo death besides the symbolism is that his fear is not just cause by the gargoyle but also because he is finally having his "reality check": During the whole film he keeps commiting this evil actions, burning houses, arresting and killing innocent civilians while claiming that it's for "the greater good and how he is good man and everybody else is evil". The moment he sees the Gargoyle he realize the hard truth he choose to ignore: He is the real monster and the one who will be send to hell.
Indeed. He knows full well where he is going and what that implies.
And gargoyles are meant to scare away evil spirits, making it even more fitting. Sending the truly wicked back to hell where he belongs.
Fun fact: the ingredients in the Dip (turpentine, acetone, benzene) are all paint thinners. And all the toons in the movie were made with hand painted cels.

Just one additional thing about Dr. Facilier's death I think what makes it stick out outside of Dr. Facilier's own fear expressed in the scene, is it's a twist on the classic "Deal with the Devil" trope, where if you don't fulfill your end of the bargain, you have a fate worse than Hell in store for you. And in the voodoo show dragging him down, the "evil force" looks absolutely delighted, like they were waiting for him to screw this up, and they know they're going to enjoy this, while just repeating the line, "ARE YOU READY?" I think it contributes to sell that whatever fate he has coming is something worse than death.
I saw that movie as a grown ass woman so in the earlier scenes where Dr. Facilier is freaking out about the fragility of his amulet, and desperate to protect it, I saw his demise coming.
But I had the thought to myself ("Oh ha ha, it's gonna break and he's gonna melt or turn to dust or something")
Instead *that* scene happened and I was shocked at how brutal it was to see and hear him beg for his life...How it sounded so real. It was more disturbing than what I presumed would happen.
It was one of those "Damn Disney" moments for me.
This is one of the reasons why I love this movie
Here’s another effed up death in a Disney animated feature. Jack Skellington killed Oogie Boogie by loosening a string of his, thus tearing apart his potato sack skin while the bugs inside him fell into the lava pit, and then Santa squashed one last bug that was presumably Oogie’s brain. In other words, Oogie Boogie was skinned alive!

also the Evil Queen confirms her death by having the vultures fly down to her. They are after all scavenger birds and they feed on dead bodies. so she not only fell and got crushed. she was torn apart and became bird food afterwards.
and as for Ursula...we Erick has one thing over Philip. He killed the magical large monster witch without having a magical sword that ensures the kill and accuracy.
But Ursula never confronted Eric, she was distracted trying to kill Ariel, if Ursula had confronted Eric directly he would have been in trouble

I think the Atlantis villain death was pretty unique, I mean getting scratched with an all powerful sentient crystal and having it spread throughout your body and explode on a blimp is pretty out there.
Even more terrifying is that Rourke was still very much alive and sentient throughout, so he acted with extreme pain and horror. He knew he was dying but could do nothing to stop it.
The thing with Clayton’s death is that there’s something called a long drop where your neck would break and cause immediate death. Clayton fell from a tall tree with thick vines so whose to say the scene would’ve looked much, MUCH worse
Yeah-his head should have popped off at the length of the drop.

I’ve seen Tarzan and the whole franchise of Final Destination. Seems to me that Clayton’s dark demise is the start of the horror franchise
The weird thing is that Clayton's death was, in actuality, the least gruesome on this list. All the other deaths, eaten alive, falling and being crushed, impaled by a shipwreck, melting by Dip etc, would have been far more painful, taken much longer and been harder to endure the gore and grossness, if we had actually seen the deaths in their entirety. Hanging is nearly instantaneous, and with little to no blood. But it still makes us flinch, because it feels too real. It's a death that comes not from magic or the supernatural, but from reality.

I'm glad Oliver & Company got a bit of attention here. Sykes', and even his dogs', deaths are incredibly brutal for what's supposed to be a cute talking animal movie. I know it's one of Disney's weaker films, but I absolutely love it.
Yeah! From being hit with a speeding Subway/metro train at high speed combined with the remains falling into the bay… yeah. No survival there. Also electrocution, even for a dog is a bad way to go.
agreed honestly. Even though Sykes and his dogs weren't exactly the nicest, their deaths were just brutal.
Heck when I heard Roscoe and DeSoto whine as they got electrocuted, I couldn't help but feel bad for them. (Well and give them both a hug despite that being a bad idea)
@@medusathedecepticon No one likes to hear dogs yelp in pain like that, especially dog lovers. We hear that sound in a movie and immediately need to snuggle a doggo and reassure them/ourselves we'll never let them hurt like that.

As a kid I did not realize that DeSoto and Rosco were dead and how. I was in my late teens when my family visited Washington D.C. and I learned about the third rail. The next time I saw the movie, I winced knowing exactly what had happened to them.
This is my favourite Disney film….. the movie was dark from the onset. Sykes giving him three days-confirmed when Fagin told them “Dead men do not buy dog food”.
Later when he visits Sykes place and Dodger gets attacked by Roscoe and DeSoto-with Fagin desperately trying to stop the attack by explaining to Sykes his plan.
Kidnapping Jenny and threatening her with his dogs. When they get away, Sykes chases them and his dogs are trying to kill Dodger…….
It may have had fun, bouncy songs, but the storyline was indeed one of the darkest Disney had put out to date.
In regards to Meleficent's death, she wasn't just stabbed. The sword pierced her heart. The fairies spell didn't effect Meleficent herself, but guided the sword to deliver a killing blow. "Now sword of truth fly swift and sure, that evil die and good endure."
The cliff was just to show that she really was dead. The bite she tries to kill Phillip with just before she fell was her final act to take Phillip with her so Arora wouldnt wake up. She would have died moments later, even without the fall.
Another thing about Frollo’s death is that if he somehow survived the fall, being burned alive is THE most painful way to die
And even if he somehow managed to survive being burned alive, he also would've landed either on his head, or on his neck!
So yeah, being paralyzed from the waist down would still suck. :[

I think Doris from Meet the Robinsons deserves an honorable mention because when Lewis declares he would never invent her, she disintegrates into blue flame all while emitting a horrific scream. It's basically the mechanical equivalent of the Horned King death. Also, the Jabberwocky from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland gets his head sliced off.
Yeah because Lewis said that he would never invent her Doris vanishes and stopped to exist/died? because Lewis knew that if he would invent Doris she would do terrible things and would change the future and with terrible changes. 🎩
Gotta say, I’m quite surprised Oogie Boogie and Mother Gothel didn’t get on here somewhere. One gets his skin ripped off and falls apart with his innards burning in stew and Santa squishing his brain, and the other rapidly ages until nothing’s left of her. Pretty creative and horrifying ends for a villain.
Looking back on Mother Gothel’s death, it feels like it came straight out of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, except that film went out of its way to show the villain aging to a skeleton, whereas Tangled did not.
Clayton accidentally hanging himself, Scar getting eaten by the hyenas, and, if you want to include the straight-to-video films, Saluk accidentally turning himself to gold in Aladdin and the King of Thieves, were always the most gruesome to me. My favorite though is probably when Tarzan kills Sabor (if you count her as a villain) and then lifts her corpse and does the Tarzan yell.
Fun fact:
You can see Sabor's exact moment of death (as in, her eyes closing) as Tarzan gets her out of the way to get out of that hole.
Honestly, I miss stories of clear-cut good vs evil where evil’s destroyed being the norm.
We haven’t had many examples of pure heroics and straightforward villains in recent years.
Yeah, morally gray stuff is fine but we need more karmic comeuppance than ever now in fiction.

@@Reapermaskhybrid the problem is Hollywood’s too beholden to online critiques of “cliched, pandering happy endings” and is being led to believe that people don’t want hopeful escapism anymore.
I'm surprised there's not even a mention of Oogie Boogie and Mother Gothel (and, to that extent, Ponce de Leon from DuckTales 2017). The former was *skinned alive* before effectively dying a thousand deaths with every bug dropping into his incinerator, with the last surviving being crushed under Santa's boot. And the latter (or latter two) basically aged not to death, but right to dust. Ponce de Leon especially had it rough, since we saw him age to dust right in the waters of the Fountain, dissolving like Kool-Aid.
Still an amazing video, love to see a potential video on non-Disney Villain deaths.

I still am horrified of oogie boogie's death and one of the only reason why I tend to avoid that film, that death always scares me and his death is more emphasized by the fact that he just kept saying "my bugs" and getting less and less in pitch as more of them fell it was just so scary to see
Oogie Boogie's death will haunt my nightmares.
I always assumed that Oogie Boogie wasn't really killed (as in, that's it, game over, you'll never see this character again), just dealt a serious setback. In other words, he'd have to settle for being "the shadow on the moon at night" until Lock, Shock and Barrel could collect more bugs to make him a new body. But I guess that's open to different interpretations....
What I found interesting about the climax in The Little Mermaid is that Ursula doesn't start turning into a giant until she is set off by Flotsam and Jetsam being blown to bits by Ariel directing the trident blast from Eric.
Edit: what makes the evil queen from Snow White's death even more brutal is that there were vultures! Vultures flying off to pick at whatever is left of her carcass after she got crushed.
Sounds like Ursula was one of the rare villains who actually cared about her minions.
@@msannethropp7497 it seemed that way to me too. After they got blasted to pieces she says "Babies! My poor little poopsies." If that isn't a villain who cares about her henchmen then I'm not sure what is. It's just something I noticed after rewatching it as an adult.
What made the wicked Queen's death even more complete was the direct transition into Snow White's funeral, bringing the whole thing full circle. You really felt that the Queen had succeeded in killing Snow White even though it had cost the Queen her own life. The Queen was dead, Snow White was dead, all we were left with was the Dwarves weeping and mourning. It's a heartbreaking scene.
And of course, it makes the True Love's Kiss that much more powerful.

Yeah Grunty kinda was just like the Wicked Queen, jealous of Tooty's looks, ends up with a boulder on top of her, has a magic cauldron instead of a magic mirror, yeah I can see the parallels there.
Judge Doom’s death is unforgettable, from the melting of his body to the horrific screaming.

When he killed the judge, his body looked JUST LIKE THIIIIIIIIIIIIS! 💀

That and his final reveal form is a enduring nightmare. They made that PG rating worth it.

Fun fact:
When I went to go see The Princess and the Frog, my parents didn’t let me see the voodoo parts, because we’re Christian, and they didn’t think I was old enough to see it. So hearing his screams of terror at his death, without knowing what was happening, scared me even more.
That stinks. I did hear that sometimes religious groups can be serious with their beliefs, but I didn't know they would go as far as to prevent you from watching certain scenes within a movie…

Nothing that has been shown on a screen or written in word, can possibly match what the human mind can imagine.
I watched the black cauldron as a kid. Long story short. I couldn't sleep well for a while because the horned king (the main villian of the movie) gave me nightmares. I like the movie now but as a kid i was terrified of this guy. 😱
Mother Gothel's death is horrific enough include in the list. I don't imagine having your skin, bones and muscles slowly disintegrated while falling from a tower would be a plesant experience, not to mention the existantial dread coming along with it... When it comes to brutal Disney deaths, people seem to overlook this one.
I remember Gothel’s death creeped me tf out when I first watched the movie. What made it both more horrifying and oddly gratifying is that she was killed by the thing she valued most; her youth. From using the flower for so long to upkeep her younger years, I think Gothel’s body became the biological equivalent of a house of cards. It became reliant on the magic to keep itself sustainable. So without it, her age caught up to her in the worst way possible.
I also love this one because just like Queen Grimhelde, it’s a darker take on the classic “villain falls to their death” trope. Because yes, Mother Gothel takes a tumble out of the tower window, but it’s not the fall that kills her. She’s long dead before she even hits the ground.
It’s like a tamer version of Donovan’s death in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
When you're older and watching it, you realize that The Incredibles pretty much foreshadowed Syndrome's demise. Even without knowing how the film goes, if you understand how foreshadowing works, you will be able to piece together that this guy's death will have something to do with his cape.
Clayton's death always freaked me out. Just his shadow on the tree....
At least we saw his Shadowy Body being shown, which proves he was hanged to death

For Maleficent's death I think Prince Philip's sword was made of iron. Maleficent was a faerie/fairy. Iron is poisonous to Faeries/Fairies. So there's that as well.
I love the imagery with Claytons death. Like we don't see the body but the shadow cast on the rock after the lightning is even more chilling.
Just to add on The Evil Queen’s death….she probably became food for those vultures.
Oh and with Ursula, she is probably the ONLY villain I’ve ever seen who was legitimately PISSED about something bad happening to her minions.

Scar getting eaten by hyenas was one of the most violent deaths in all Disney. I was very unsettled by it when I first saw it

Plus the flames rose up when it happened so Scar AND the hyenas could have been burned alive or the flames rose just to censor Scar's death

I mean seeing a villain gets torn apart, his body parts being ripped off, chewed on and get swollowed by hungry hyenas didn't make a good image for every age group too see. The viewers would get sick, scared and traumatized. Kids would start crying and screaming and their parents would complain to Disney why they showed something so goery to their kids and family alike. 😐

I don’t think any death comes as close to being as horrific as Clayton’s death. Even though we don’t see a body, that shadow we see of his hanged corpse is even more terrifying because we put the pieces together in our mind.
Tarzan was a suprisingly dark movie with a high body count. They're not villains but we do get to see the bodies of Tarzan's parents and there's visible bloody pawprints on them.

To me, hanging death in general or deaths that imply bodily harm that isn’t shown to be gory and violent but rather a showcase of the biggest flaws of the human body always irk me. Hanging especially… just the imagery of someone who was once alive, dangling by a rope or vine or whatever, body still animated by the motion of the swinging but no longer alive… it’s just such a horrible image, and a lot of the times hanging isn’t even instant either.

Never seen The black cauldron? The horned king was killed by the black cauldron. He was literally teared apart and his life force was sucked and consumed by the black cauldron.

16:52 As much flack as Black Cauldron gets, the Horned King getting sucked bit by bit into the Cauldron is probably the one you could put any frame of animation on a metal cover.

I should have treated them with more respect and kindness while I was alive. World War II really hit us hard, and in response, we had to distribute propangada films and package films to fight off the evil Nazis and keep us afloat at the same time. My Nine Old Men taught the future animators well. That's why I can say that the animators who work tirelessly to keep my core values alive can also reflect them for the 21st century with relevant and timeless stories from fresh and unique perspectives.

Sure, he was tangled up in a flag, but after being drifted away into space, he didn’t have any water that could keep him alive. Also, it’s ironic since his last words was in reference to what happened to Mr. Arrow earlier in the film and his own defeat essentially mirrored what happened to Mr. Arrow.
Minus a black hole but yeah basically the same fate, lost to die in the cold grip of space.

I think animation studios needs to start experimenting with brutal villain deaths again. I gotta say that both Disney and Pixar designed one of the most brutal deaths in animation
Slight honorable mention to Scroop from Treasure Planet as well; admittedly, the movie isn't their best, but Disney did a pretty good job flipping the old "Falling to One's Death" routine on its head. After all, what's worse than falling down a great height? Falling UP one into space itself!

@@monstrouspegasister Fun fact, turns out Scroop WAS in the original book, albeit not called that. He went by Israel Hands, and his death is surprisingly similar. Okay, Hands didn't fall up into space, but he did die by falling off the mast while fighting Jim Hawkins into the sea below.

Oh but no, they complain about a girl going through puberty like everyone else. What? 😅

If I had kids, I'd rather strap them to a chair and force them to watch all the deaths on repeat Clockwork Orange style than show them Turning Red. It's not offensive or anything, I just thought it was a terrible movie.

I remember Shan Yu being quite badass to me as a kid, definitely a presence that commands respect. Fitting for a leader of the Hun army. Also his personality is kind of a reflection of how most Hun warriors and their leaders acted so won't knock him for it really. Also I'm pretty sure he's the disney villain with the biggest body count, which given Mulan is the Disney protagonist with the biggest body count to her name, is also very fitting. Makes me wonder who killed more between the two of them. Mulan took out a vast majority of the Hun army with only a small squad or band(whatever you call it) of them making it. Where as Shan Yu killed an entire Chinese army and a village full of people on top of it. I never saw any living people in that village, and no one gets rescued either so doubt any of them were made into slaves like most Huns did with places they sacked. I could be wrong, but we'll see I guess.
On a sidenote tho, perhaps a Villains body count list may be a good idea Animat.
His death was similar to both the villains death in Sausage Party.

The Broadway version of Scar's death is arguably scarier than the movie. Part of it is because there's no fire, so the hyenas baring down on Scar is on display for all to see. The other part is because the hyena costumes are flipping *creepy*.
When they reboot Splash Mountain as a The Princess and the Frog ride, they've GOT to add Dr. Facilier's grave to the Haunted Mansion graveyard or somewhere nearby. After all it's in New Orleans Square.

Dr Facilier’s death has stuck with me since I first watched it. That tombstone…
Though stabbed with an enchanted sword, Malificent went down fighting! I'm proud of her! She used her last strength to try take out the prince!

I always thought that that sword was a kind of cheating... Maybe it's because Maleficent is my favourite character from this movie. (To be honest, other are bland and cutout, especially Aurora)
Hopper's death from A Bugs Life looks like a version of Hopper getting sent to HELL. Which I find to be one of the scariest Disney deaths of all.

I get that birds are his worst nightmare but going to hell is never even hinted at.
Also worth mentioning is Mother Gothel's death (reminiscent of the villain death in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusaide'); she has her eternal life taken away from her and she ages and ages until she crumbles to dust!

Honestly, in my personal opinion, I think mother gothel had a gruesome death... there was absolutely no need for blood, she was pretty much dead already the moment she lost the power of Rapunzel's hair... Her own fear of growing old killed her, she didn't even need to reach the ground when she fell because she was already ash.. like dude, that's terrifying.
Something to note, that in the original script, Gaston actually survived his fall from the Castle.
He would later be seen washing up somewhere else, and would be confronted by the same pack of Wolves that Belle encourages earlier.
I guess if you want, you can count Gaston as being eaten alive.

This is a good time to bring up my frustrations with recent animated movies. Hardly any of them kill off the villain any more, not even superhero movies like Incredibles 2 and Spider-Verse. Bring back the villain deaths!
Ikr? I know this may sound cruel, but I wished Kingpin died at the end of Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Let me be reunited with his deceased wife and kid in the afterlife.
@@hunterolaughlin He doesn't deserve to reunite with them. He's a crime lord, which means he's broken a lot of other families even beforehand. I'd say losing them was his his karma (though they didn't deserve it).
But at the same time, the idea of him getting killed while the collider is being destroyed would have been pretty cool.
The Disney villain that had the worst death to me it has to be scar because we see him begging for his life. And the silhouette of the hyenas killing him

I didn't get easily scared or traumatized as a kid who was raised on horror films (courtesy of grandma), but I will admit "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" frightened me during the villains death to the point I actively avoided watching the movie again for years.

My theory about the gargoyles is that they’re inhabited by spirits from heaven (or hell) and only certain individuals can see them moving. Quasimodo could see them because they knew he needed some company while Frollo saw that gargoyle come alive because it was going to punish him for all the crimes he did in the “name of God”
I think most likely they are just fictional things added because the movie is being told from the perspective of clopin.

Milo cuts him with the crystal, transform into a monsterous crystal, and then gets chopped into tiny shards by a propeller. 👍
With how the crystal operates, he was probably already a dead man walking.
There was a long stretch where I thought #1 would be Syndrome, but then I remembered Rourke being in the intro and I kept thinking it was him until the reveal that it was Syndrome. Damn you for throwing me off, Mat.
One additional death that should be noted (now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox's back catalog) is Rasputin's death from Don Bluth's Anastasia. Like Dr. Facilier's death, it is supernaturally derived, but more direct and openly shown, like the Horned King's Death from the Black Cauldron.
If I had a nickel for every time Christopher Lloyd was in a movie where he was the villain and died in the end by melting, I'd have two nickels- which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. 🤷♀️

Vultures are scavengers, so they won't eat a living victim. It's more likely they were put there to visually assure the viewer that the evil queen was finally dead.
In regard to capes, it's not really an inferior costume design. There's a lot of practical reasons for a hero to have a cape. Wind protection and sun protection for starters. And a large cape can distort and disguise your size for your enemy. Some capes are bullet proof. Some are fire resistant. There are uses.
No one is going to disagree with you putting "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" on this list, especially since it was made by Disney. And maybe it's because it's one of the first Disney films I can remember watching, so I may be biased, but I consider "Oliver & Comapny" to be criminally underrated. And Sykes' death was so brutal that Doug Walker himself made it a point to say that he remembers nothing about him except how he dies.
Man, Frollo burned to death (couldn’t happen to a nicer guy), Scar got torn apart and eaten (you know those hyenas left nothing) and Prince Eric, a very amiable young man, plunged a ships spear to Ursula and killed her.
I always loved the fact that they added skulls to Gaston’s eyes when he falls down
You know when Shen accepts his fate at the end of Kung Fu Panda 2, Thanos did the exact same thing at the end of Avengers Endgame where he sits down similarly to the ending of Infinity War where the only difference is he lost this time instead of winning, and he accepts his fate and turns to dust.
Can you imagine being devoured, reincarnated as a powerful entity, but ultimately being burned alive thanks to your new monstrous urges...
Sometimes I forget that Disney can have some Brutal and Dark Deaths it has,but it also Shows that back then Disney use to have the Guts and Ballz to not get their Hands Dirty,now the Only Villains we got are Nature.
My grandfather heard of someone getting sucked into a plane engine after being sent home from war. It's not a nice way to go.

Clayton and Frollo’s deaths still haunt me to this day
Damn I didn’t even notice the shadow behind Tarzan of a hanging Clayton when I watched it. Now that you’ve pointed it out that death is way more terrifying to me
Clayton's and Facilier's deaths always stick out to me for how creative and dark they are. Clayton being his own demise by prematurely cutting the vines despite Tarzan's warnings not to, and him being lucky enough that the fall was long enough to break his neck and cause a quick death. Plus, THAT FUCKING SHADOW. Facilier's horrified looks on his face and his terrified pleading to give him another chance while his "friends" smile evily as they drag him into whatever fate awaits him is just a horrific scene. Heck, even his shadow was scared! Plus the gravestone with the last face he probably made as his fate was sealed with his name on it is just the icing on the cake.
I wish Gaston was brought back to life by the enchantress and was turned into a beast as a punishment for harassing Belle and trying to kill Prince Adam.
Gotta love how brutal Disney and Pixar can get with some of their villain deaths. Your honorable mention was also a great choice.
It's interesting that Ursula and maleficent and faucia die yet in descendants 1-2 and 3 they are very much alive with Mal being the daughter of Maleficent, Ooma being the daughter of Ursula, and Faucia having a daughter too. I agree they're are so many villain deaths it's hard to remember all of them.

The Kung Fu Panda Movies has the most Brutal Deaths in DreamWorks that even the Series has them,also each Death symbolizes what the Villains want,Tai Lung wanted the power of the Dragon Warrior and he got his Wish in a Painful and Hurtful Way,Shen wanted Peace but he couldn't let go of Changing his Nature,the Pain of his Past,and a Prophesy of his Downfall of a Creature of Black and White so he accepted his Faith to both find Peace and to trick the Prophecy that he was Beaten by a Creature of Black,White,and Red,and Kai wanted more Chi that it became a Drug that turned him into a Parasite and the more he has the Lesser he becomes while Po defeated Kai with Help.
Thank you for talking about Sykes' death! It scared me as a kid, and it still shocks me to this day.
