Hi Kerry, that's a big route for a novice hiker in normal weather, in that heat it's a big ask for the experienced, I'll give a big thumbs up 👍👍👍to those who said that's enough, I'll wait for a cooler day, Devan did really well but was showing signs of dehydration and heat exhaustion, looking forward to the next installment, take care everyone.
It is great that everyone gave it a go and a very wise decision to stop when the sun gets to you. You don't want heatstroke out there and need a helicopter. As the team leader kudos for your no person left behind stance. Everyone did fantastic. Brilliant video, thanks for sharing.
Well done everyone for getting on the trail and giving it a go. Sorry to see a few leave early but it’s best to be safe than sorry. It does look pretty tough in places, but the views and landscapes are incredible 🥰
Gorgeous wild camps! So sorry to miss this but I know my foot wouldn't have been up to it - huge well done to all! Devan looked so chuffed with his first mountain!
😯 That really was hardcore Kerry. The heat during that week would have beat most people carrying full back packs.. A huge well done for part 1 👍😁 Awesome views and wildcamp spots.. Devan and steph Them mountains will always be there and a chance to tackle them climbs again .. when it's cooler.. 😁
Well said Mike, always there for another day, and those conditions with the heat were ridiculous, look forward to seeing more of Devan and Steph when it gets cooler 👍👍👍☕️ Nige.
Oh dear, what are you doing indeed 😳 but fair play to you all for giving it a go! Those cows were comedy gold mind LOL!!! WOW what a sunrise and it is a right slog up Skiddaw but very well done and had to laugh at all those white legs and a 30C sun - yikkes! Mungrisdale Common has to be the most pointless Wainwright and dam shame about people feeling ill and you knee not playing the game but real pleased you got 'the view' from Blencathra. You would have been mad to go down Halls Fell with camping packs on and still the route you were given, would not have been the route I would have take, Scales is the best and easiest way down. Good to hear that Steph would like to go back to the lakes and very well done to her and Devan, he is not used to any heat all all being Scottish, never mind extreme heat. Yes I went up Steel Fell last year with a friend from Grasmere, as she did not fancy the steep way up and to be honest I did not either - you are really putting them through their paces. Fair play to you all, in that heat and on some of the ascents/descents, I thought you all did amazing! Cheers Alan
Thanks Alan, sorry for the delay 🙈 been so hectic the last month barely had a break in between trails so haven’t had time to catch up on much x hope your having a wonderful summer despite the rain lol 😂 yes it was a tough one for sure!
I thought i was going to witness a tent getting trampled at the beginning of the video, luckily they mooved off 😏 hard going with the heat combined with over packing, great effort though, love the lakes, looking forward to part 2, take care Kerry and Co
Oh no cows, you were very brave though. Those views are stunning. What amazing weather but i doubt i could walk up any hill in those temperatures. Thats a nightmare about the water sources drying up but you especially need to be careful in that heat better to be safe than sorry. What an amazing trail, thats ny sort of adventure. Vant wait for next weeks
well done everybody great effort tuff conditions . i suffer with eptopic heart beats my self something i at to over come mentally to get back in the hills .
Seeing a bit of a struggle does not a bad episode make, the opposite in fact, it shows a bit more of the reality that what you's are doing out there is not easy. Beautiful scenery but nature can never be taken lightly in all its forms rain, hail, snow, wind, sunshine, it's a formidable adversary. Great upload very interesting for many reasons. 👍
*_Hello... I like the natural panorama that you present in your videos, including I like and salute the adventure activities that you do.... greetings from Indonesia_* 👣🏕💯👍
Great effort by all concerned. High temperatures and lack of water on their own is enough to end any trail attempt. Having to do so many climbs and descents back to back day after day is hard enough. In my mind you all Smashed it and deserve a medal. Great video as always. Looking forward to seeing part 2.
I seem to have a habit of killing people off on trails 🤣🙈 but this one was always going to be a tough one! Using it as training for the Tour Du Mont Blanc next month
You have fun with cows don't you. They seem to leave me be except for those who come over for a nose but leave bored. Yup keep on the #LNT vibe all good. Getting a proper tan there Kerry gal. "Bloody horse flies" - and midges - I have a bug net all the time. Devon you're a legend, well done for doing it. Currently trying to keep cool by the River Ribble in Ribchester - cycling about and looking for possible wild-camps and only 3 miles from home. I've got to get back up to Longridge Fell later - it's steep. Clitheroe tomorrow if it's not too hot.
@@DrunkOnWanderlust I’ve walked those hills, but not with camping kit, I’m not the fittest of people and think you getting similar folk out is truly great
well done in this heat..i remeber my 1st time in cumbria.i did fairfields via seabelt think it was called.i was not prepared for the steepness or bad weather..my legs the next day ouch....
Wow, I'm reliving climbing those fells many years ago when I was a bit fitter than I am now and only with a daysack. Some of those paths are a lot more eroded now than they were then which makes them very tricky. Well done to all of you especially in those temperatures.
So glad it brought back some nice memories for you 🤗 yes a truly beautiful part of the UK and I’m so glad I got to experience it and make some wonderful memories
Watching this while doing the Annandale Way and Hadrian's Wall back to back, won't moan about an ascent with the pack after seeing you guys doing that!
Nice one! We hiked the Corfu trail last year it was spectacular! I hope you have a wonderful time and take plenty of water out with you as water sources are scarce out there x
Hi Kerry, back again as I love your comments, may I say your issue with the dog I can understand as you have an amazing leg, the other one is a bit dodgy though 👍👍☕️🤣🤣🤣
