Very joyful piece of music, certainly composed on an "occasional" basis (to celebrate Carnival) hence more for fun tahn to be perpetuated in concert halls. It rather reminds me about Leopold's rather than Amadeus' style, although orchestration is particularly robustand rich of color (in which case I would rather think about Haydn). All in all, very good work to genuinely amuse and generate good mood! However Eybler, yet not prolific, composed a few excellent works. My favorite is his Requiem in C that is absolutely comparable with those by (Michael) Haydn and Mozart themselves. That's a real maserwork indeed. His symphonies are also quite good as well as most of his chamber music
