I went out and bought all 3 models.
Just returned the Ultra and the Base today, stuck with the Plus.
Watched this on my S23+. I do quite like the compactness of the regular S23 but I wanted the best battery life and after holding an S23+ in a shop in Thailand (on holiday) I thought it was quite comfortable for a larger phone. Came home and ordered one. Got a massive 40% off the price at work as I sell phones for my job. Have to say I'm quite impressed coming from a Huawei P30 Pro which was a great phone.
I pre-ordered my 23plus hopefully I will like it
I am pretty sure that the Battery life isn't increased on the s23+ it has just more mAh which compensates with the screen size which uses more battery
So at the end of the day both phone batterys die at the same time

I have the regular s23 while my brother has s23+, the battery difference in real world use is actually not that big

I bought the S23+ over the Ultra. The Ultra is nice but the + feels so much better in my hand. I don't like the sharp corners of the Ultra and I would rarely use the S Pen.
S23 plus is 🔥
My favorite part of the S23 Plus vs the Ultra is the rounded corners. I have big hands and I still don't like sharp corners as they aren't comfortable for me to hold. I would love if they made the Ultra with rounded corners.
That's why l had to return the Samsung 2U, that sharp corners hurt my palm a lot.
I hav had a bad experience with S22 Ultra, corners were digging in the palms.
I sold it out and went with iPhone 14 pro max
Love my 22 ultra and soon 23 ultra. I like the sharp corners because the phone dig into your hands and it won't slip out because of it
@@619elephant9 You must have really oily hands if the phone slips out of your hands... like no joke.. I had a phone with rounded edges(sides), corners, glass back and never I had my phone to slip out.

Ultra's were always slightly top heavy. the S23+ is the perfect fit for me. wife has the new S23 Uklra cuz she loves the s-pen so I can always borrow her phone when I have the urge to take moon pics.
I had to return my Samsung su because it is too big and uncomfortable to hold and text messages.
Hey J, this phone made me buy my first Samsung after Huaweis, OnePlus devices. The ultra was too big, I hate curved edges, whereas the normal S23 was too small. I just LOVE this phone. Charging could be quicker but that is everything I can complain about. I've bought the 512GB version on promo. They've made an iPhone with Android if there's such a thing.

It's been driving me nuts with all the you tube channels saying buy the ultra! Buy the ultra! The plus is pointless in its line up!
I held the ultra in my hand and it feels absolutely awful and it digs into your palm. The plus is a very good balance of comfort, size and performance.
The average person with 20/20 vision can no longer tell the sharpness difference of anything above 320ppi so the QHD is marketing, if you have eyes like a hawk and look at your screen from 2 inches away, Maybe.
Then the "better" camera of the ultra? The primary shooters are the same, and from dabbing in photography sensor size is more important than mega pixels. Mega pixels is total pub talk!
Yes in extreme cases if you are a phone nut, the ultra is the better phone. The ultra has a better zoom and larger display.
But not everybody wants a huge square phone that's awkward in the hand and budging out of your pocket.
But these you tubers are talking like they are missing out if they buy anything below the ultra.

I am not saying the S23 Ultra is a bad device, but for most people the S23 Plus is better than the ultra. Actually, with all things considered, the S23+ is the real deal as a daily driver.
Do your homework people and do not just rely on what others are 'preaching'.
Excellent video filled with points on why the s23 plus is an excellent choice for consumers.
Anyone else notice the 23+ screen DOES go above 1080p? There's just no option for it but, watch 4k content. See that? Thats not 1080p. Changing width to 411 in developer options seems to boost res too.

I'm curious about battery life, how s23 plus performs compared to the ultra. 300 mah difference, but with that larger and wqhd on the ulltra.
Thanks for the review! I agree with you about the Ultra. S23 was free with trade. S23 plus is 200 with trade. Ultra is 400 with thade. We needed 3 new phones. So 3 Ultras would have been an extra 600 dollars plus additional tax over the plus. I have a nice Canon camera for professional photos when needed, so the plus suits me just fine. Had it nearly 2 weeks now and it's awesome. Rounded corners are more comfortable than Ultra. I do wish it was 6.7 but no big deal. My wife was not receiving texts from Verizon people on hers but TMobile sorted that out after a couple days. Some kind of network issue on her phone number, not the phone itself. This phone is stellar. 512gb. Came from OnePlus 8T+. The 65w OnePlus charger charges this S23 plus at 45 watts no issues. Solid phone.
Waiting for your regular s23 review i think that small form factor will be great for me

Hello if you can I would like you to review a mid range phone the Samsung galaxy A34. Am debating on which phone I should buy between the Samsung galaxy s23+ or the Samsung galaxy s23ultra but then I see the Samsung galaxy A34 and it's intriguing my interest. But am going more towards the Samsung galaxy 23 ultra+ I've never had or bought a phone that's so expensive but I to treat myself to something nice.
I dont really use the spen on s23u i can type way faster than using the pen and im not an artist
Agreed on the corners as well, S20 Ultra's rounded off corners were more conformable.
It's no shock as to why a lot of people still have and use an S21 Ultra.
I've always had the plus versions since the S8 because I never REALLY needed the ultra but I got the 23 ultra this year because the $1000 trade in credit plus the online credit I got from Samsungs website was too good to pass up. Basically, I brought the ultra down to $199, so at this point, why not!

I have the S21 and the only issue I have with it is the battery life ... can't get through a full day without charging it. Otherwise, the S21 is a great device for my requirements (including the form factor).
Would seriously consider switching to the S23+ mainly for the battery life.
For me, the s23u Is a big ugly brick with high weight... standard s23 and s23 plus they are the best options. They should make an ultra smaller version, with a 6.3-inch screen
Top tier phone, all day battery life and higher quality sounding speakers compared to my S22+, performance is crisp.

Did I mention unbiased review? You're right. Most people would buy the ultra model just because it's the top of the line flagship and not because they actually need it. If they did a cost benefit analysis, I'm sure they would skip the ultra model. Unless if their main goal is just bragging rights.

If you want a phone that feels like the iPhone, go with the Pixel 7 Pro. If you want a phone full of different features, go with the S23 plus

This is one of the best devices when it comes to being "handy". I used to have the s22+, however I ditched it, there is something in ONE UI i just cant stand. I ported to the pixel 7 pro. happy for now, I do miss the video quality at night . props to Samsung but one ui is just not for me, android 12 did not help at all

I got the S23 ➕️ a few days ago in Violet and came from the S10 ➕️ I can say I absolutely love the upgrade and round corners , they are exactly the same size phones with all the super cool 😎 upgrades. I found the Ultra just looked and felt too big in the hands, almost like using a tablet. Samsung Galaxy Girl 👧 for Life 💃

@Siva Kumar Goud battery life is great however depending on what you are doing with your phone . I listen to lots of videos on UA-cam and music and lasts all day without needing charged .
It's obvious the battery isn't as big as they ultra and don't have all the bells and whistles but I'll say this you can't do big things on lil screens but it looks cool the ultra is the new galaxy note and nothing is touching that
The smaller hd screen offsets the battery difference for the most part but man I wish they had the ultra cameras in that phone like how iphone both pro models are same cameras because the flat screen super thin bezels are chefs kiss it looks so good i get jealous that my s23 ultra doesnt look as nice as my sisters base s22

S23 256 gig has UFS 4.0, the 128 gb version does not because Samsung doesn't use UFS 4.O in flash storage less then 256 gb.

If I had to buy S23 or S23 plus I would buy the S23 just for the better battery life alone.
On the ultra I do wish Samsung would increase the battery size to 6000mah or very least 5500mah. That extra 500mah would be helpful. They also need to make 65 watt fast charging standard on flagship phones.

Had a note 10+ and thats my least favorite Samsung phone. The boxy form factor and the s pen which felt useless for me. Never going to that again

Just get the base S23 or the A54 that just came out. There are good trade in offers and Samsung is well known for their discounts. You don't have to pay full price for this phone..

Samsung wants to sell its Ultra so badly that they made the mistake 2-3 years ago of castrating the S+.
Whereas, in truth, the S Ultra are Galaxy Notes and have their own clientele, and there the S+ clientele no longer finds any interest in the S+, and finally, instead of going to the S Ultra, most prefer to go to other brands(a lot of people don't like smartphones with too sharp edges, and I think Samsung should go back to a Note 8 / Pixel 7 Pro form factor if they really want the S+ clientele for the Ultra).
An S+ with a 1290-1300p screen, with the same main sensor as the Ultra of the moment, a 3× periscopic zoom and macro on the ultra wide angle would sell like hot cakes.
Because, without lying to each other, unlike Apple customers, at Android, beyond wanting a fluid, stable and functional smartphone, customers who put $1,000 in a smartphone are very careful about the technical data sheet.

Spot on. I have the S23+ and love it...due to pre-order deal, cash back CC and Rakuten I paid considerably less. Plus got the free storage upgrade. I feel I received good value. Never would I have bit otherwise
You are so right. This year, I've been noticing more people reviewing and getting the S23 + models. I think Samsung should give their future Plus models their own camera sensors so it's not the same as the base or even the Ultra. The Plus version should be its own phone.
I have s21U. I really was excited for S23U, I did preorder too. After receiving the phone, I just can’t get past the box feel.
