Thank you for this great video. All my life I’ve enjoyed anything that goes bang or fast. At 8 years old I wrote a letter to Colchester Army Barracks asking if I might purchase a deactivated grenade. Unfortunately I received a polite reply from the Major declining my offer and suggesting I look for a more suitable present

Grenades make it the best presents! You were a polite kid. Me n the boys snuck n liberated 'wastage' from the local army training reservation. Luckily no real grenades n we didn't blow our idiot selves up. Thanks

Another great video. I did not know about the venting of gasses for the cap ignition. I love it when I learn something new. Thanks.

Again I appreciate the comment. I've been told to make these shorter but I make em like I would want to see them ( well maybe better narration) but whatever ... People who want to know variance between the #5 Mills Mk1 delay train vs the #5 Mk 3 are my boyz. Thank you again.

Thank you for the appreciation. They don't come out slick and polished but for some the facts crammed in everywhich way make up for that. I am going to drop 2 mega research videos on WW1 Granatenwerfer s 20+ minutes and a longer one on the Tanks and tracked vehicles of Imperial Germany... Soon..

There was no no5 mkIII .there was no5 mk I (although no5 mkII Plugs was made..only a small amount was) it went from no5 mkI ..23 mkI.. 23 mkII Then body shape was changed and that was the no23 mkIII ..Then no36 mkI and finally no36m mkI .there was a no36 mkII But that was a practice grenade with a bigger gas check size threading for repeated rifle launching.
Show the markings on the plug.

Are you from Canada? When I was a boy we had about ten cases of No.36's on the farm. Dad let me use them for blowing up beavers and dams because it was safer for a kid than using dynamite. I wish I knew what they are worth now, as I wouldn't have been so frivolous with throwing them.

Probably illegal to own them now
