  • Long.
    part 1 of long winded thing about the development and variants of Stielhandgranate or stick grenades of Germany. Focus on WWI.
    Note the M24 Stielhandgranate (M24 Stick Grenade) refers to the 1924 post war replacement for versions starting with 1915 Stielhandgranate mit Brennzünder ( steel grenade with ignitor ) and subsequent.
    Arguably the most recognizable symbol of German arms in both world wars the stick grenade is iconic. This video is long and only part 1. You were warned.

    У вас большая коллекция !, нужно сделать хорошую реставрацию. Я сам собираю коллекцию гранат - у меня их довольно много 40 - 50 штук, 1915-1945 года.

      A lot of epoxy type material usually. I restored? Rather I 'recreated' scraps for most of them. The rusted out ones I show are better than most. I only have a few in decent original I un messed w condition. I used to buy relics out of Eastern Europe. Please don't attempt that today laws are different and buying relics I have come to realize to my shame creates a situation where graves are robbed history destroyed forever. I am planning a video on the topic in future. Both restoration mock up options and ethics /legal issues. Thanks

      @@acmelka did you ever get around to making that video regarding collecting and the ethics surrounding different aspects of it? I would be very interested in learning about all of it, and hearing your experiences and opinions on the matter!

    I just wonder if I just know what kind of metal or steel German use in m 24 grenade head?

    • @acmelka
      @acmelka  3 роки тому

      Thanks. All Stielhandgranate heads were made of thin pressed steel. The M24 refers to all after 1924 until the M43 I believe. If you want to know all about post WW1 Stielhandgranate I recommend bergflak . com a great resource on later German grenades.
