I like that despite being the souce of conflict in this episode, Thugnificent isn't just an a**hole. He is arrogant and irresponsible but he does actually want to be a good neighbor. Grandad never even gave him a chance to try and find some common ground. I also feel that it is not a celebrity's job to make cities work, but Thug's situation is so extreme that just heading over with a truck of food every now and then would drastically improve the community's living conditions.
This episode was legendary 🤣 not only is Snoop Dogg in it, but the gestures they did when Grandad was talking ish to them then running away was so spot on🤣🤣 “Y’all makin me homesick!🏃🏾♂️💨”
The whole press conference and beef between Grandad and Thugnificent is a reference to 50 Cent and The Game's beef which had them making a public truce on live TV in 05 because it got so bad that someone in 50's entourage got shot when his crew tried to jump Game at the Hot 97 station
Easily one of the best episodes of the show. Apparently they wanted Ludacris to voice Thugnificent, Snoop and Busta Rhymes are the other members of his crew.
was Snoop still hood at this time? because I remember had had a TV show and kids and wife and didn't Busta Rhymes and so many other rappers fell off after 2010? Also we lost the Cosby and Will Smith family. All we got is left is Jefferson, Run DMC, Snoop Family and Family matter. As the wholesome black family on TV.
Let's just big up Aaron McGruder and his writing team for coming up with the names of each member of The Lethal Interjection Crew: Thugnificent, Macktastic, and Flownominal?!? 😲 C'moooon! FLAMES! 🔥🔥🔥 Lol! Snoop and Busta were just 👌🏾 on this show on the occasions when they were featured.
The Story of Thugnificent" stands as a timeless Boondocks episode that undoubtedly delights fans of the series. With its humor, intelligence, and thrilling action, it exemplifies the exceptional qualities that make The Boondocks genuinely remarkable.

I don't know why Huey made it sound like being congratulated for reading was a bad thing because it's a basic thing everyone does. Like its a sweet thing to do and I just feel it's overly dismissed because thats a thing everything does. Still its a sweet thing. People should be congratulated for doing basic stuff. It can make someone's day.
One of my favourite characters on the show (Thugnificent). The one episode w/ him when he has to return to his roots to make a living is the best episode in the series IMO, just comedic bit after bit after bit....
Ive seen every Sunny episode dozens of times and still laugh everytime I watch... laughter is so good for you, why not allow yourself to laugh as often as possible? Its a frame of mind. And if I were to be watching those same episodes with friends, id laugh harder...as its contagious. Hope that clears this basic concept up for you. Try it out... tell me how you feel.

Did you know John Witherspoon put out a comedic rap album in 2008 called '63 Cent'? It included such classics as 'Dance Now Wit Yo Big Ol' Azz' and 'Don't Nobody Go in the Bathroom'
Almost every line Ruckus says has some kind of joke on it and people are mad when people find him funny? His dialogue is great, scenes with him are great, obviously you don't want to know someone like him in real life but it's a fictional comedy 🤷♀️
OMG! This has to be one of the best episodes. Name the moment that made you laugh the hardest.
It was Don Imas who made the Nappy Headed Hoes comment

Huey: The literal voice of reason and moral compass of 97% of the show.

Idk why people are mad at it, I looove Huey but obviously Pat prefers the more entertaining characters, he's right that Riley and Ruckus are hilarious

found out a month ago that thugnifacent was based on ludacris.
And he's Disturbing the Peace. Luda's old label DTP.
The producer Carl Jones said in a interview Ludacris was originally supposed to voice him but it didn't work out
