JT! awesome vid, im defenitely trying this out today, my legs left me last sunday in sparring.
I´ve been following you for a while now and completely love your knowledge and understanding of the sport.
I´ve shifted from Muay Thai to pure boxing for now and really everything i take to the gym is what i learn from you and what I see from my favorite boxers/fighters, at the gym they dont really "teach", even tho have been sparring with some amateur guys and recently a pro.
Do you have any kind of conditioning/streght (maybe gym?)/tecnique regime or "program" for guys like me that like to keep ready, love boxing and sparr maybe 3 times a month or so? I have not been able to develope one for myself, its super hard.
Thanks a lot, you make a diference for the boxing community brother.

Glad I saw this. I'm a 50 year old beginner, went to the (boxing) gym today for the 1st time today, & knocked myself off balance while trying to move & strike on the heavy bag. Now I know, it was because of a lack of stability/balance, AND, shoddy footwork. Already a subscriber to you, "fightTIPS", & Nate Bower, so now I have an endless supply of good, practical training tips that should keep me engaged in fighting for a LONG time. Peace & blessings...

I just came across this routine, and did it successfully, but yes, it’s hard. What’s interesting is I started in martial arts at about 14, reading a paperback book on Kung Fu, and this was one of the first things taught (they called it the “horse stance”.). I’m at 62 now, almost forgot about it, and hard to believe I can still do it. But I will now incorporate it into my training again everyday. Thank you for posting this!

I love that,, been doing it for the last 18yrs. It isn't easy,,, brutal on the vastus medialis/vastus lateralis/ gluteus medius,as well as the hams & quads... especially after running a few laps, then running backwards for a lap... Can't go without the legs tho... condition...condition...condition...(It almost brings ya to tears sometimes)

Great way to zero in on weak links in the kinetic chain. For lower body my knees.. Also my muscular endurance needs work. Despite being female, my upper body is stronger, more stable etc. I've been wanting to get into static posing for definition like bodybuilders. Doing these moves may just give me some of that, and most importantly stability and better function now and if consistant, thruout my mature years. Thanks JT. You are a great online mentor !

Which I'm immersed in lately.
