You know what would be better than listening to everyone's feelings at the end of the video? Seeing the actual lap times that the driver ran in each car.
right? at least describe the difference in power delivery, turn in, handling, weight, weight bias. literally everything about the cars. not just "one is raw, the other is refined"
Refinement is the key difference and that refinement leads to reliability and consistency on track. As much as I love Mike's car, it wouldn't last an hour in an endurance race like the c7r run, but then again its not ment to.
Thanks for the team hat Tommy. That time attack Camaro is wild. My C7 Z06 Convt with an a94 Procharger and meth and E85 makes 1151.9hp to the wheel. Not bad for the street

The SOUND of that Corvette... c'mon man. 😊😊😊 I may get bashed for saying this: to me, the C8R sounds like crap compared to the previous Pratt Miller Racing Corvettes😊 FYI, earlier this summer I was at the FANATEC race event at COTA, and most recently at the WEC 6hr race and will tell ya, the V8 sound of those AMG GT3 cars and the Hypercar Cadillac brings back glorious memories of the pre C8R V8 sound. Those C5R, C6R & C7R Vettes sounded like MONSTERS; shook the ground as they roar by...and they won LOT'S of championships! 😮 The C8R is impressive and a step in the right direction, but the sound to me is...meh.😢 BTW, this is my opinion...of course 😮
thats cause they are filling in what ferrari left open. they no longer run in N/A and they are going twin turbo. i have made this comment before. the newer and later C8 corvettes are basically cheap ferrari's(and i mean no disrespect saying that. our C8 corvettes would compete on equal footing against a ferrari 458 and 488). chevy alone already is rivals with ferrari (ford itself not being happy about THAT)
I totally agree! I have been to races with all 4 generations of the race Vettes and I miss the older cars sound. No matter where they were on track you could hear them. Now they sound like all the rest. It’s a bummer for sure.
What are you on about, only the zr1 is turbo, the c8 z06 is normally aspirated and is far superior on track than any ferrari at the moment hence 8 from 8 for tommy in fanatec gt and the imsa cars are just unlucky at the moment and tf sport in wec showing promise, the c8 is the current wec champion
@@chrislake2809Right. Like the C8.R is deafening in person, and the road going Z06 with the same race engine in it sounds incredible. The cross plane V8s sound insane, absolutely, but the FPC V8s have been absolutely dominant thus far.
Good Lord... it's SOOOOO good to hear what a REAL Corvette race car sounds like again on a track! I miss that glorious earth shaking exhaust rumble at today's racing events. Pratt Miller Motorsports should ditch the flat-plane crank engine in the Z06.R GT3 and go back to using a traditional cross-plane crank engine.
Why would they when the C8.R and Z06.R have both been dominant? They couldn’t care less about the sound as long as the engine is efficient and effective, and the car is performing. Plus, having heard a C8.R in-person, it’s plenty bone shaking and deafening. Want a cross-plane? Cadillac’s Le-Mans racer still uses one.
Time attack is always interesting, but it really goes to show how good professional race cars often are. It took about double the power and much more downforce to beat the C7-R by a bit.
My favorite car on gt6 was the C5R and the track I raced over n over looked like that track, it's been awhile but kinda looks like it, I just remember a big straight stretch that went into a hard right hand turn then snaked by a bunch of structures or something. I've been wanting to get another PS3 with gt6 because I loved the HKS racing paddle, if you have to use a paddle that's the jam but it is corded and only works in PS3 as far as I know. Why someone hasn't duplicated the same architecture of that controller is beyond me I loved it and i did way better with it.
Looks like this time attack car ran a 1:23.9 at road atlanta. In 2017, a C7R qualified at road atlanta with a 1:17.7. I'm probably missing something, but that's an enormous gap between the two. Yet he said the time attack Camaro was faster?
@@v8ramair145 this one is setup in race trim which they ran at less power. We’ll try to get Pierce to bring out his 427 powered C7R which makes a lot more

So much this. They took an otherwise great video and idea and completely ruined it.
