  • In this video I will teach you how to create a blanket or scarf using the crystal waves stitch. This pattern is so beautiful and is even more beautiful with variegated yarn. My fav to make with this pattern is a baby blanket.

New subscriber, and so happy I found your channel. Love the stitch, and you are such a good teacher. Thanks for the concise instructions and easy to follow tutorial. My granddaughter suffers from eczema outbreaks too. We are all working together to help her deal with it and to minimize the pain as much as possible.

Thank you so much! You're kind words mean the world to me. I'm so glad that I can make tutorials that are easy to follow. The eczema is really annoying. I pray that your granddaughter can get some relief from it.

Great video!👍 Sorry about your flare up, but I have to ask the question. Is it easy/easier to crochet with gloves on?🤔

Hi! Thank you so much 🥰It’s not only easier for me during a flare up but it saves my viewers from having to see my hands in such bad shape. Wearing the gloves during a flare up keeps the yarn from irritating my skin further.

Look like your yarn trys to split.when I get yarn like that I don't use it.

Sorry you had to wear gloves for your tutorials. I to have some problems with cracking, bleeding, etc. I just have to remember which yarn brings it out to surface. Ty so much for going through with your tutorials.👍❤️

I appreciate that so much! I just figured it’s part of my life and no need in hiding the issue. I have a medicated ointment called Eucrisa that held some.

I know you used 24 stitches to illustrate the pattern but do you think that is a good width for a scarf?

You may want to make a scarf a bit wider with this particular pattern

How would you put a border on this as a blanket? TY

I like to add a ruffle border. 7 DC in every other space around the edge of the blanket. If I can find time tomorrow I will try to make a tutorial for you.

I apologize! I didn't realize the background noise would effect it. I'll remember next time to have the tv off.
