Alison, I've watched over 200 tutorials. Yours is just the best. Your voice and beautiful accent, make the tutorials feel like a meditation class. Have made 3 of your blankets, for my friends and they are so delighted and I so enjoy making them. I've never found crocheting so easy since watching your videos. 🥰
This is such a beautiful blanket. I had to watch the video and jot down the pattern because it's easier for me to follow written patterns. Thank you for sharing.
I felt this pattern looks like corner to corner but without having to keep turning your work. I like going across in rows better and this exactly like it. Much easier!
After my beloved 3rd husband died I taught myself to crochet. I have done this stitch and it never looked right. Now I know why. Learn best by watching. Thank you for helping this novice. Stay safe ,from your new fan across the big pond!
Thanks Alison, I'm makin' a sampler of random sized & shaped blocks. It will even have a randomly shaped perimeter. I 1st started making whimsically random and inspired patches, & every now and then, when I have a little trouble puzzling them together, I either stop trying to puzzle them together and make some more random pieces or, I will make a piece that fits in between what I've already made. There is no thought, there is no planning, And it is fun figuring where the pieces will fit. I'm just going on, I guess, creative instinct as well as whim.
Hi Allison over the years I have tried to crochet and have never been able to follow a pattern but thanks to your tutorials easy step by step instructions I have finally been able to complete a number of your beautiful baby blankets thank you so much
Very good teached. Everything is explAined in simple terms. You make it sound so easy meaning you will have made a beautiful item that others are going to be jealous of because it looks so civic and they will think your so clever. love the accent. I'm Irish but my accent only comes out when I'm shouting at the kids.
Ive been doing this style for over 40 years. But i love the slightly different look you get by going around the third double (USA)crochet stitch in the wave. Will try this on my next blanket. Thank you
Hi Alison this is from Southern California I love this blanket I am making it for a baby or a little child and making it in the hobby lobby for weight yarn pink yellow and white beautiful beautiful thank you thank you very much for your tutorial and I will put a picture when I finish in my Facebook page thank you again God bless you
Wonderful, that yarn sounds fab there is a lot I can't get here in the UK I miss my trips to florida to get into Michaels I love loops and threads and just cant get it its way too expensive for delivery.
Hi Allison, I just found your crochet tutorials. Love to listen to you speak and teach! You always have very cool nail polish too. Such a pleasure to watch. You are excellent at teaching, actually showing us where the crochet hook should go, not just counting stitches. This is such a beautiful stitch, and I will use this to make a baby blanket which will be gifted. You are super talented. Thank you so much!
Thank you, Kathleen, I am finding pink and lilac projects are more popular than the others. Ha ha ha I will need to try and order pinks and lilacs when I next get my pension payment. Ha ha ha
I’m not n to the craft. I love it, I crocheted a swatch and it is wonderful. I’m going to have to make a blanket and a scarf with this stitch. Thank you so much!
Doing a cowl with the Sea Waves pattern and it looks really good. I am using a hook a size bigger for a looser look and feel to the cowl, I'm also dong 3dc instead of the 2dc for the Wave, it makes it look a wee bit bigger and looks like a wave on the rows. Also, in my patterns I usually do my first row into the bump on the back of the chain as I like the finished look it leaves on my projects. Again Alison many thanks for another fab design.. Linda from Etobicoke, ON Canada 🐦
Wonderful !!! I just love Love LOVE that it's a one-row repeat. In addition to uni-color, this pattern would be suitable for rows of color or blocks of color. Really beautiful !!!!!
I'm from the US.. I stumbled upon your channel and I'm glad I did.. i luv this stitch. I gotta remember your trebles and doubles are double crochet and single crochet... I really love this pattern I have a friend who loves the ocean.. this will be a great stitch for a scarf or shawl perhaps...
