I think it's really cool how GoPro sequenced one of the shots looking like it was about to hit a ball, and then suddenly you BECOME the ball, and before you know it you're flying into the mouth of a doggy! Well done GoPro and well done Luke for persevering to get that shot 😁🐕⚾
I agrée! 🤩 love how they combined it! My only complaint is I wish they had used the shot for slightly longer in the edit so that the GoPro went completely into his mouth and went black before going to the next shot.
Loved the BTS. Nice work to you, Ollie and your dad! So great to see people using some creativity to give us a new perspective! The stick shots were so cool too. Welcome to the MDC fam!

Do people not understand the whole point of the GoPro million dollar challenge? At the end of the day it’s a marketing campaign. Do you think the average GoPro user can relate to freediving in the Bahamas? No. Do you think the average GoPro user can relate to playing catch with their dog? Yes. But even beyond that, the hundreds of positive comments, 99% like ratio from thousands of likes clearly show that it’s objectively a good shot.
This 9:10 is EXACTLY how I remembered and saw the inside of the Belgium Malinois when I was 7 years old, about 35 years ago now... It was a trained family dog, winning a lot of championship stuff over here in Belgium. But I wanted to throw away his fetch thingy and the dog bit me. Nearly lost my eye as a teeth was under my eye. They glued that wound. At the left of my eye they stitched it with staplers and from the top of my head was a wound until the eye (by closing it's mounth) resulting in a 30-ish stitches hehehe... I was very cool the next day at school only being 7 lol... (Dutch speaking so may have grammar faults lol)
Damn that face you made at 4:48 made me really sad. The classic "I was so excited for this and its not going to work out. Smile through the dissapointment." I'm glad it worked out for you.
Great video! Clicked on it because of the interesting title and thumbnail, watching the whole video without skipping and really enjoyed it. Keep it up man!
Yeah, I feel like the Mini 11 is an attempt at resurrecting the Sessionm but the form factor is inferior. That little cube with centred lens was great!
During brainstorming of how to get the ball to fly straight, did you think to attatch the ball to a stick on the back end? That way you can control exactly the path, rotation, etc? I know its not exactly the same as throwing the ball per say, but since you were okay with turning the ball into makeshift missile shape, I was curious if youd have been okay guiding it on a stick. Cool video nonetheless and good luck!
Hey! Good question. I did try that actually. Unfortunately it doesn’t give the organic look of a ball being thrown even after trying over and over. Also, Ollie wouldn’t jump up to catch it. He would kind of just open his mouth without the excitement 😂
The string was a really good idea, but you couldn't really control the resistance. Just changing it to a short streamer with surface area and more time in the air, would have given you a good arc. Great shot though!
Ah, a fellow Cape Town boet! 🇿🇦 I've always wanted a GoPro to make sailing videos. I'm going to look into the small Hero 11. Great video and congratulations!
Ngl I liked the trail throws into the dogs mouth, not all balls stay straight so the spinning effect gave you a feeling of you are the ball aswell which was super cool

@@LukeMaximoBell1 hahaha. Creepy? Ok. Now I'm really curious.😆😆😆 Yeah...black end is perfect for edit...still. wondered if it would be a cool effect.
