2018 too!
Amen. Got to see her earlier this year in Wisconsin for $20! Took the whole family. They were awesome. We had 2nd-row seats.
@@PlanetRockJesus I'm going with my sister to see her at the end of the month.
Someday I will be so lucky...
For those saying the kids don't look happy while playing, just try to remember how self conscious you were at their age. Then add the concentration needed to play at a professional level, then add the pressure of being on stage with a bunch of cameras rolling.... If you don't actually play, then you probably will have a hard time getting it.
I think they sound great and wish I was half as talented.
I've been following the turtle kids for 6 years now and they never fail to amaze and entertain
Jason Baldwin most are working at mickie dees now
I agree entirely with you, having just happened on this.
it's also quite a sad song, maybe there's a memory there or something
Missing the point. Why parade them around if they dont want to be on stage?
Molly is such a talented person and blessed with persona, and with the backing of her father Jack, AJ lee and her family, it never gets any better than this.
Absolutely the best guitar duo I have ever heard. Molly Tuttle is one class act ❤
Finally, an outdoor sound system and sound person who does justice to the artist doing the performance. Excellent in every way. One of the best I've heard on UA-cam.
Im watching this 15 years later all you guys are.great musicisns😊😅
These kids are fantastic musicians. The future of bluegrass music is in good hands.
Fun to go back and see the talent then, and the maturity now. Molly and Golden Highway, AJ and Blue Summit, still getting better and better.
This song is good for showing Molly has power in her voice from the low notes to the high ones.
Beautiful.
As a part time picker myself, I can tell you they are deeply concentrating on their instruments, harmony etc. I love to watch every post the make.
One of best versions of this song I've heard, beautiful voice. Greetings from Wales. Cyfarchion o Gymru
WOW! im speechless. this family is amazing! come out east please!!!
Sing it Molly!
What a tune!! Mate love this. ❤️
Never never thumb down, please.
mark my words. this gal is going places. she's got what it takes, talent, beauty, you name it. I know talent when I see it.
Molly is IBMA guitarist of the year 2017, so far!
alan4sure and 2018
Beautiful. Grand musicianship. And an evocative, traditional rendering of this very compelling song. I've been listening to several versions of this song -- great versions -- Rambling Jack Elliot's version, for instance, and I really love this version. Now I'm going to check out other videos of Molly Tuttle, the Tuttle kids, and AJ Lee.
Molly has steadily improved over the past eight years since this was made. This is mighty fine, but her current stuff is amazing.
Just bought the CD and am always coming back to this...Listen to Molly belt it out!! God I love these folks...Makes me happy to listen...Cant wait to see them before they're huge...
FANTASTIC!!!!...What great talent for such a young age. 👍👍
this girl is a star. next Loretta lynn. she has what it takes! and that tuttle boy on the right plays some mean guitar!
I do believe I'm in love with Molly Tuttle. Great performance by all here, this is truly making my night the best night it's been in a long long time, I feel like I'm finally connected with my true Kentucky roots.
mark maysey I think i'm in love with her too. but alas, i'm an old man now.

Die wil ik voor mn volgende vadersdag !
Love all A. Js & Molly's stuff.....
A young Molly here playing great on the banjo.👌
Bluegrass at its best
This girl can sing!
Awesome and wonderful to see young people with such talent carrying on the traditions of great music.
I think they are all very talented.
Hi im from Falkirk in Scotland and this music is fantastic.I love it.You should try listening to Amy Mcdonald, who is fantastic and from Scotland LOL.All the best from the Scots.Cmon the USA. Love u all.
I know you are all older now then when this was recorded. You're are all very talented and I enjoy listening to your work. Both you and Molly are great singers....Really have that lonesome bluegrass bluezz tone down well.
I just can't get over your music! Makes the hair stand up on my neck!!
You all just better with each post.
Theses kids are just fantastic!
HA!...love it.
Wow, totally love it. Well done - great singing.
Beautiful rendition
Just recorded AJ Lee and Blue Summit at Suwannee Roots Revival. Videos coming.
love this
Molly! One of the best out there. Interesting how Berklee, which is very Jazz centric. has gotten behind these blue grass kids.
If I remember correctly, Bill Monroe directly and deliberately included jazz elements when he invented Bluegrass...
still loving this in 2017 ❤
i love you molly
Great video quality! Nicely performed.
These kids must be all 'growed up' by now. What an awesome performance! I discovered this tune by way of Laurie Lewis at some other BG festival in California, probably Live Oak. Don't miss the Tom Rush or Ranblin' Jack Elliot versions, either.
Three of them are in collage.Molly is a professional Musician living in Nashville after going to The Berkley Collage of Music..A.J. and Sully are In a band called Blue Summit.A,J has two solo albums out.Molly has The Molly Tuttle Band, and is In a Band Called The Goodbye Girls.they all still play.
Been doing this song for 50 years after learning it from a Tom Rush album. This is a nice bluegrass rendition, and the musicianship is very good. The New Lost City Ramblers did a completely different "Diamond Joe" that was probably based on the Bessie Jones version, or some variant.
❤️...it's was obvious even then
Aye!
I'm in love.
Lovely
Is that the best ever?😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice!
Ms. Molly Tuttle, I can only hope our paths cross one fine day. You have a beautiful voice and you can play a mean guitar! Good luck in life and stay away from guys and you i'm sure you will do fine.
Awesome, BlueGrass is # 1
@gat569 Thanks for taking the time to make such an elaborate reply! Will definitely look it up.
❤️
big time talent.
You know what would be REALLY cool? Billy Strings and his dad playing with the Tuttles...
Maybe too much talent at one place...
Dam girl..
Could anyone tell me some more names in the same genre? I'm from Holland so I don't really know any good bands of this type, but I love this kind of music. These kids are amazing by the way :)
I had no idea Molly could sing this good.
WOW - Great Job Folks!
Thanks for sharing randomfarm
Two of my favorite guitar players, Jerry Garcia and Molly Tuttle, are very good banjo players, hmmm.
slinky emperor hi, Molly and Billy Strings sing To Lay Me Down by the Greatful Dead, AJ Lee does a beautiful cover of The Deads " Ripple" , last night ( over this side the Pond that is) Fil ,Wings of Pegasus did an analysis of Molly doing White Freightliner Blues, recently one on Billy Strings, all Fils analyses are great he is guitarist/singer in London rock band Wings of Pegasus , his YT channel is well worth subscribing to, Molly is over here at present, with the Transatlantic Sessions, musical co directors Shetland fiddler Aly Bain and dobro royalty Gerry Douglas, bet Molly blows their socks off
@@robertsmyth4998 Thanks for that Robert. I am familiar with Wings of Pegasus. I will check it out. Molly will be in good company with the Transatlantic folks. I can see GD's big smile already.
@Kitsune88 its called bluegrass
I wish i could play half as good as they do.
@randomfarm who's laurie lewis
The whole Tuttle family should be in the Smithsonian!
Legend has it being her last banjo performance.
@Rmaster193193 You can go to her website laurielewis
@Kitsune88 I first heard this tune on Rambling Jack Elliot recordings. Check out "The essential Ramblin' Jack Elliot" a Vanguard CD (it's on there). Diamond Joe and a lot of the other songs Elliot sings are from the Woody Guthrie era. I also love his CD called "South Coast." I like the folksy old traditional songs. Mudcat.org places this song back at least to the 1930's. For other reworks of old tunes I like Bob Dylans "World gone wrong," and "Good as I been to you," which also has Diamond Joe.
This is real bluegrass, wow, they are new to me; what do they call themselves, anyone? Molly's an amazing musician, as are the rest. How can ya get as good as that on three finger picking Scruggs style, it ain't easy to learn. I'm still trying to memorize all the picking patterns.
Beach Bum They Call themselves The Tuttles with AJ Lee.Molly Can be seen in The Goodbye Girls and AJ Lee and Molly Tuttle both Preform shows Under there own names.
the little girl on the mandolin, and her channel is this one randomfarm.
Martha Spencer look out here is Molly Tuttle, but can she dance?
But who is AJ Lee? Does she have homepage? Can't find anything 'bout her...
What kind of banjo is that?
Molly is fantastic to play the banjo. but maybe don't like play the banjo but guitar she don't it ?
Just so you know - video recording was permitted...
Great version of a song performed by Bob Dylan (Good As I Been To You). Now part of The Bob Dylan Project. Contact us for details.
. . .and Woody Guthrie, Tom Rush, Willie P. Bennett. . . I first heard it on Ramblin' Jack's first album. I haven't heard Dylan's version yet, but I'll look it up now.
LOVE IT BUT LOVE TO SEE SOMEONE SMILE SOMETIME ! LOL.
ok, this video is loaded long time ago. Well nobody can say nothing wrong about what you do, I mean your music, it is really perfect, but I hope you have learned in this long time, how to stay on the stage, for exemple, how to smile to the people while you are playing and how to dance alittle bit while you are playing your guitar; just check out Elvis, it will be enough...I hope everything is ok with you, I love you kids and God bless...
Elvis didn't play bluegrass.
wow I was just going to say these kids look under a lot of pressure-i hope they are not abused but can tell they are-OMG===notice the angry dad conducts from behind----uck
The girl on banjo Is the IBMA guitar player of the year, she thanked her father for giving her a love of Bluegrass music when she accepted the Award. there all grown up now and they still play just not in the same band now so no there fine.ua-cam.com/video/pAySlpgfgBU/v-deo.html
Great talents, but they don't seem to enjoy themselves here.
These kids look soulless... They are amazing- but dont seem to get any enjoyment from this... :( i hope Im wrong.
You are
dylans cover not as good
Great to hear the voice before she developed that awful flutter.
Right It's so awful she only won female vocalist of the year at IBMA and a Grammy with it.
