Since it's my first time i wonder do we need to pollinate the flower or the plant can do it by itself because i heard some dragon fruits need some help. Curently i'm about to plant red dragon fruits like in this video

If I live in a cooler climate would it be suitable to put some plastic rap on top of the pot for a green house affect so the plant and the seeds gains humidity and stays warm?
Is dragon fruit annual or perrenial? Will it continuously bloom & grow fruit? How many season? After that what will you do with the whole plant when you tear down the plant?

Dragon fruit is a perennial plant and it blooms during rainy September mainly in August September months
