The legacy of him and his brother will never be forgotten... Thanks for making my childhood so magical, Richard....
Even in 1000 years the covers will be never forgotten.
Not only change in the music of Disney turn off the music and history of Hollywood .
He's forever the true Disney legend. This was a huge loss for the entire Disney Company . This man brought happiness to billions around the world. May his memory be a blessing. I speak on behalf of all Disney fans across the globe, and he will be missed. Thank you, and RIP. And now, a moment of silence in respect and mourn the passing of Richard Sherman.
(1928-2024)
😢😢😢😢
RIP to Richard Sherman. He wrote some of the most iconic songs of my childhood and may he rest now 😢❤
Rest in Peace to a true Disney legend. Thank you and your brother for making songs for my childhood.
Lets all be honest here: We are ALL crying.
Makes a person pause and say what will my legacy be?😢❤.
Sighs 😞 .😢There goes another Disney legend.
At least he's with his brother again ❤️
He’s with Walt too!
and his parents too! (even though they passed in the 70s)
An absolute legend! RIP Mr Sherman! ❤🙌
Thank you for your music Richard. Your legacy will live on forever. RIP Legend! ❤🕊
Rest in peace Richard Sherman, your reunited with your brother Robert, until we meet again.
Richard is finally with his family and Walt.
May his memory be a blessing ♡♡♡♡
We’re going to miss him thank you for making our childhood special🙏💝😢
Rest in Peace Richard M. Sherman. You and Robert wrote some of the greatest songs of all time with "Mary Poppins" and alongside Kenny Loggins with "Your Heart Will Lead You Home", one of my favorite and absolutely underrated Disney songs of all time!
R.I.P Sherman brothers, you're finally back together again
My favorite songs were from marry poppins my mom got me into the movie when I was a little girl back 30 years ago
Rest in Power, Richard Sherman. I’ll always love your music. ❤
R.I.P. Richard Sherman, we'll miss you and your brilliant yet creative songwriting forever. You definitely deserve to reunite with your dad, Al Sherman and your older brother, Robert Sherman in heaven for as long you as you like. 😭🎼🎶🎹
Don't forget he played Feed The Birds in the short Once Upon A Studio.
That's when I got to know more about him and now I'm crying again!
It was so heartwarming from that moment with Richard and Robert Sherman really know Feed The Birds means alot to Walt Disney. 🙏🏼💐
On July 17th, 2015, the date of Disneyland's exact 60th anniversary, I was lucky enough to be invited by my friend to have a drink with legendary Imagineer, Tony Baxter, inside the Carthay Circle restaurant. As if this opportunity wasn't incredible enough, shortly into our conversation about films and attractions, Tony said, "I have a friend who's on his way to join us." 10 minutes later, in walked Richard Sherman. I couldn't believe it. He sat with us and spoke about Walt, working on Mary Poppins, and his favorite songs. I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing experience, but it's the most magical moment I've had in a lifetime full of experiencing Disney magic. I didn't want to do anything to spoil the peaceful and intimate moment, so I didn't ask for or take any pictures. All I have is my memories, but I know they'll last until the end -- just like the legacies of Robert and Richard Sherman. Rest in peace
A true legend. He and his brother penned some of the most iconic songs that I grew up on. RIP Richard Sherman😢😢🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤❤
Thank you for the music!
So sorry to hear about this. He was very special and talented.
The Sherman Brothers even teamed up w/ Hanna-Barbera on the animated classic "Charlotte's Web" (1973).
R.I.P.
And also "Snoopy come home"
@@wonderrob3225
Didn't realize that! Thanks...
Will need to check it out. Can't even remember if I've ever seen "Snoopy Come Home."
@@PaulTesta There's a lovely sad song on "Spoopy come home" called "Do You Remember Me? Lila's Theme." It's one of my favorites. I've loved "Charlotte's web since childhood
Charlotte's Web and Snoopy Come Home truly have wonderful songs by The Sherman Brothers. 💐
@wonderrob3225
My 2nd grade class read "Charlotte's Web" together; and then later that school year, my 2nd grade class took a field trip to go see the movie "Charlotte's Web" during its initial run at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.
Great memories...simpler times...
We don't have any talent like the Sherman brothers today. You will be sorely missed.💔
What a great man. The Sherman brothers and Walt made many children smiled and I bet Walt was waiting for him.
RIP Richard Sherman.😢 The combined talents of you and your brother, the late and great Robert Sherman are one of the many reasons why my childhood was so magical. Thank you for continuing Walt Disney's legacy with your gift of music and inspiring my generation and many generations to come.🎶🎶
Incredible life well lived! Rest well Mr. Sherman.
RIP Richard Sherman, I'm glad you lived a full life (95 years)! At least, you're reunited with your brother Robert now!
RIP Robert and Richard tell Walt I said hi
The Sherman brothers were a huge part of my early music education and childhood.
He had a long life. A fruitful life, an adventurous life, a whole lot of joy, love, and fun in his life, I’m sure. He and his brother’s work influenced so many people across generations.
You brought so much joy, to us all. RIP sweet man!
Certainly the soundtrack of my childhood. RIP ❤
Gotta go, but thanks. On with the show.
At least him and his brother are reunited together playing their songs in heaven for Walt❤
Those two brothers really truly make history.
If the Sherman brothers get their own statue, it was probably say to the two brothers to make the music in our lives .
Even though he lived to such a grand old age, this is still SO SAD!!!😢 Thank you ever so much to you, Richard and Bob, for making my childhood magical!!! Your music is immortal!!!❤❤ May you both rest in peace!🙏
RIP. Thank you for teaching us empathy and kindness through music.
Thank you for the music, Mr. Sherman… may you rest easy… 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
RIP Richard Sherman! You are the reason I enjoy some of my favorite Disney movies and rides. Tiki Tiki Room and Feed the Birds are two of my favorite songs that you and your brother wrote, and I thank you for the memories that come along with these songs.
I needed to hear this anyway!

He lived a long productive life. His music will always be fondly remembered.
GOD rest his soul, rest in peace. They Sherman brothers were true Disney Legandsand their music will NEVER be FORGOTTEN. Their music will live on forever in our hearts.
Wow, they didn’t even mention his work on “it’s a small world”, The Carousel of Progress, or the many other Disney attractions they wrote songs for.
There was an excerpt from the Disney program in this news report showing the Sherman Brothers at the piano with Walt Disney and they were singing the Carousel of Progress
Why nobody names "The sword on the stone"? Sherman brothers created that soundtrack movie too. "Prestidigitorium" ! Rest in peace, mister, beloved memory.
Look at the bright side guys at least the Sherman Brothers will be together in the pearly gates playing music
What a delightful, thank you for making my childhood filled with music. Lets go Fly Kite.

I think we are just down to the Mary Poppins cast who are still alive that interacted/ worked with Walt Disney.
2:45 there's Dick Van Dyke and Karen Dotrice (Jane Banks)
He has joined his brother and old friend in afterlife. May he rest in peace 🙏
Merci beaucoup from Paris France 👍

RIP Richard Sherman the composer of Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
Thank You and I will miss you Richard Sherman🧸❤️🕊️
Brothers together again at last.
I do not think is it wrong to say Disney owes 60% of it's success of it's "Silver Age" to the Sherman brothers.
I am heartbroken! 😢😢
Rest in peace he will be missed for ever loved
Beautiful.
"you cannot forget a Sherman brothers' song for your entire life" - John Lasseter
They say the good die young.
RIP Richard!
I’m surprised they didn’t mention how many contributions he did to theme park music also including “It’s a Small World.”
Disney music and Seattle Seahawks legend, RIP Dick Sherman
Was the Tigger Movie the last Disney film for the Sherman bros as a duo?
R.I.P.
He’s probably the second most famous Richard Sherman!
Worldwide he's the most famous and only known Richard Sherman.

Doing nothing was the rightful him
Now that he’s gone the company may as well die with him
Life not good for you?
😠That's asinine. Richard may be gone, but the Disney Company will NEVER die! Not while there's still a chance for it to change for the better. I'm fighting for that chance. I'm not going to stop until the woke agenda is gone for good and Disney is reformed.
Also proof Walt wasn't antisemitic like idiots love to claim. According to the Sherman bros, he was like a father to them.
Keep a convicted felony out of the White House 🇺🇸💯
Wrong video.
We didn’t come here for the Hamilton dude who made history in Disney for the WORST villain song ever written for the company.
