Started before 08. How about the comeback and Jimmy’s mvp 07 season? The huge pick up of Jim Thome in 03? Ryan Howard’s rookie season and mvp seasons of 05 and 06?
He is, and always will be my favorite phillies pitcher. This man was a demon on the mound and he made it look too easy. the fact that we didnt get this man a world series ring will haunt me till my dying day lol.
What a great rotation the Phillies had in the successful years. Special to watch Cliff Lee cruise through the opponent's lineup. Great choice of music too!
Now this man is the one the best lefty pitchers of his generation and his command was other worldly an absolute stud of a pitcher. When this guy was on he absolutely dominated a lineup from start to finish. The ace of aces here.
Lots of great video clips, but the music distracts from the commentary. And to truly be a Career Highlights / Tribute video, it would have to capture Cliff Lee's feared hitting prowess.....his dramatic home runs and extra-base hits. Thanks for posting, though, as Cliff indeed was a machine. It's great to see the looks on the faces of these prominent hitters as they walk back to their dugouts after striking out multiple times in a game.
My absolute favorite player of all time( lifelong Phillies fan here) I was lucky enough to watch the careers of Mike Schmidt, Ryan Howard, Curt Schilling, J Roll , Chase Utley ,Doc Halladay r.i.p. and many other all time greats, but Cliff Lee at his peak was like watching the greatest of all time. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. He was/is my favorite baseball player of all time eventually I’ll tell my grandchildren when they’re born about him that’s how dominant he was.
I really enjoyed- this...maybe because Cliff is my cousin. Steve Lee is Cliff's dad and a great athlete as was Steve's brother Eddie- Eddie got paralyzed in a swimming accident...very-very sad, and a lot of folks claimed Eddie had more talent than all of them. I had talent but my clueless Little league coaches pitched me every chance they got and I "threw my arm out" or so I am told. Maybe I just didn't work hard enough. Anyway-thanks again
Felix Manuel Ramirez these are some of his best performances that are on UA-cam. Many just happened to be with the phils and I started watching him when he was with them so I'm sure I missed some. My mistake
I still hate Ruben Amaro Jr for trading him away from my Phils for a hot pile of freaking trash. If Cole Hamels could’ve pitched like he was capable of in the 2009 ws we would have destroyed the yankees. I’m still pissed off about that in 2024.
Kinda wondering why a Cliff Lee video begins with Jake Arietta. Also LOSE the stupid Stones music. Ruins the whole thing. Also HOW do you compile a Cliff Lee highlight video with no hitting or base-stealing? I guarantee you CL would have it in there.
I’ll never forget the privilege of watching Phillies baseball from 08-12’. Those teams were chock full of unbelievable talent and fundamental beauty.

@@steveswangler6373 I was born in ‘01, man! Cut me some slack haha
Dont forget when the Yankees beat your garbage team 😂🤣
I miss this dude.
Very good pitcher
-korean fan
The last time he pitched was with the Texas rangers
when Cliff was on, there was no getting past him. I think there was a game where he beat the snot out of the Marlins all by himself
HOF worthy, for sure, IMO. Man do I ever miss watching him pitch, and hit. What a cool guy too.

Cliff’s windup and pitching mechanics are as beautiful as Griffey Jr’s homerun swing
Was Always fascinated with cliffs pitching form…it was pretty. Loved the way he pounds the strike zone
💯, perfect!

No one can deal with the 92 mph fastball inside followed by the 74 mph curveball that hangs in the air forever and just drops in. He's a surgeon.

He was I believe the smoothest pitcher to date
Still wear my Cliff Lee shirt. Great pitcher and equally cool guy. #GoPhillies2020
Greatest pitcher all time
More respect Cliff...
He got Heyward with the changeup down and in every time!
1 of the best command lefty in 20th century after Tom glavine, now its jason vargas, and clayton kershaw
If you are mentioning top pitchers with command for the 20th century then you have to include another Phillies...Steve Carlton.
It was the 21st century
None those pitchers compared to Cliff Lee. Cliff Lee perfected his art of Pitching.
Come again? Cliff lee is above all the pitcher U mentioned with the exception of kershaw….Kershaw and lee would be equal
I disagree, peak Cliff Lee was better than peak Kershaw in my opinion and I’ve watched them both
I really enjoyed- this...maybe because Cliff is my cousin.

Will Buck that’s so cool
Will Buck I’m not sure how old you are, but if you are below 25ish and you really train you could get a spot at a tryout, might as well try
Why nothing from his CY YOUNG season with CLEVELAND?🤔
Jaret Capp I agree! 👍🏻
Probably because it was hard to get his 2008 highlights
He hides the ball so well until “slingshot engaged.” Like a whip
great music
For a few years with Cleveland and philly there was no one better. No one
I totally agree
Cool dude.
What a savage he was when he was on the hill
Somebody get that man a 6 pack!!
Man, it says Career highlights, I don't see anything of him w/ CLE, TEX or SEA...
Felix Manuel Ramirez these are some of his best performances that are on UA-cam. Many just happened to be with the phils and I started watching him when he was with them so I'm sure I missed some. My mistake
Baseball Worldwide Got It dude. Thanks anyway foro the vídeo and for the reply
Felix Manuel Ramirez you're welcome! Thank you for watching!
ACE,ACE,ACE!!!!!
His spin rate must’ve been high cause his fastball looked a lot faster than what the radar gun says
I love the Stones but the video would have been much better hearing the Phillies announcers instead
Check out the speed of his pitches. I think the fastest one was 93 mph. Most were in the high 80s.
Love cliff lee, hate sports videos with music
Love views from people who can't use a mute button and proceed to whine in a comments section XD
Where are the Indians highlights?
Just call it the Phillies highlights
Whoever made this, you do realize he played for other teams besides the Phillies, right?
Nobody cares about ur shitty rangers

Struck out a lot of black people on Jackie Robson day lol
lmfao
Lol😂
I used to love to see how frustrated he made Dan Uggla
