This 3 men A's team we had in those days really need more recognition as the best three pitching duel baseball's ever seen. They were just as good if not better than Atlanta Braves three-headed monsters Greg maddux John smoltz Tom glavine
The phillies were so good and now they are having bad time struggling in the season .I never thought the phillies would be in this position struggling .The phillies needs a new general manager and manager for the team. They need to spend money to be like they used to be.They need a better third baseman , shortstop and three outfielders and at least two good pitchers. They need to start seeing how the padres are rebuilding the team. They need to learn form them and can start winning again..Phillies should not trade Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels and Cliff Lee.Great video and it reminds me when the phillies were a complete team.
you've got to understand the process of rebuilding. Its very rare a team can continue that level of success over a long period of time without some form of a rebuild. I can think of only a few example over the past few decades. Was their rebuild handled the best way? No, but this process had to happen eventually. They will be good again in a year or two with young talents like Velasquez,Franco,Herrera etc etc
What a damn shame we couldn't win any World Series titles with this rotation. Charlie Manuel fucked us. I don't wanna hear anyone say that he delivered us our 2008 title. We had historically great squads from 2008 to 2011 and if we had a real manager, those Phillies would have won at least 3 rings. Damn shame
It depresses me that the whole time we were winning ... (2007-2011)... deep down we were crashing down. Dying slowly but surely. We should have had at least 2 World Series in this run. Ugh. Now im heartbroken and depressed
Hamels is my absolute favorite Phillie. I do miss Doc. :( Thank you for this tribute!
I'm a Phillies fan and Breaking Benjamin!! Thank you!!❤
My favorite pitching rotation ever
Don't forget Roy Oswalt too... Phantastic Phour (Lee, Hamels, Halladay, Oswalt)
Will never forget Oswalt. H2O after Lee left.
What about Ryan Madson the closer
@Rusty Shackleford we dont talk about him lol
*NEW* My favorite trio of pitchers ever!
MVPFLF Another Big Three- Verlander, Scherzer, and Price for the Tigers.
@@snoot4873 nah this ine is better
The best will always be Maddux, Smoltz, and Glavine
This rotation was so nasty. I miss these days so much
This was an absolutely ABSURD pitching staff
I remember this To Phillies!!!!
The Phillie Brought the championship I don’t want to see anyone Crying in 2020 for The Yankees Lets GO 28 is on
I forgot how filthy some of Cliff's pitches were. Jesus christ
Doc Halladay was a class act
RIP Roy Halladay aka my hero

Thanks for posting! I'm a Phillies fan and the nostalgia is real... I miss this rotation so much.
Same here. My favorite of all time no doubt!
I'm from the future and don't worry - we have Aaron Nola here
The fact the Phillies couldn't do jack shit with 4 aces in a 5 man rotation shows how piss poor they were actually ran
FORGOT OSWALT
Miss this😭
What a rotation!!
I'm a mets fan and this is a great vid

Phillies had a very decent year this year I must say. Next year will be better and 2018 they will be contenders.
@@levistumhofer4682 minus herrera now
Best Philly pitching core ever
They were UNREAL in 2011
5:10 was not a shutout
Doesn't matter - was complete and uttter dominance by one of the best pitchers in baseball.
True
