I prefer the natural finish to the flame maple top. I also think the natural finish with the satin black sides and back looks really sharp!

Yes, it will be a bit more now after we made a few changes that people suggested including binding on the ML-2, Tonepro's bridge etc - not a lot more though ;-)
chapman guitars should do some guitar pedals
'Cause there aren't many pedals on the market. Find an electronics expert with decades playing as well and they might have a chance. Its a tough market.
the dark red Very Shiny ML-2 would look really cool with that natural coloured binding!!! it would finish it off i think and give it a really classic look.
and the amber on would look really cool with a cream binding
I liked the non-centralised dots of the original ml-2. The small dots look sharp. It's a yes to the addition of binding from me. Truss cover looks amazing natural.
Its great to see how excited they get about these guitars. Nice to know how enthusiastic they are about this.
It is always pleasing to see an experienced guitar player getting excited as if it his first time. It's motivating to see your enthusiasm. :-)

Words can't describe how beautiful those guitar sound and look. i feel their is going to be a bright future for chapman guitars.
I think I've watched this 6 times now. Love the excitement and the unboxing's and the guitars themselves. I would love an ML1 with a white top in place of the natural finish. Would be an utter dream guitar really.

I think the binding on the ml2 would be great. But i think i would go with an ml1 in see through black. Its nice to see you two guys having fun rocking out an be amazed by the oportinity you got. Its so cool to see chappers going from some guitar videos to his own company. always enjoyed your vids. greetings from germany to the capt. and you. rock on guys
The see thru black one looks awesome, but personally not sure about the headstock shape,but they all sound great .Keep up the good work gents.

the ML-2s absolutely need binding...white...the brightest white you can find - look damn fine, great work guys!

Those are some wicked guitars! Totally dig them. I do always like bindings on a guitar for sure. I am having a constantly growing desire for them. But i can't choose.. I want both models!! Cheers to you Chappers and Lee
That see thru black is amazing. It'd be awesome to a see thru blue too, especially on the ML1. My favorite of the two, definitely. Then again, I am always partial towards double cut guitars
I love all the colours. I think the black cherry with binding would be a great addition. Keep the natural truss rod, very unique. The ML-1 would be cool with a 5 way selector. The ML-2 in amber sunburst is my favorite :)
My two cents:
- I love the natural binding on the ML1.
- I would like the ML1 in See-through Black Cherry.
- I think the ML2 will look cooler without the natural binding.
- The natural truss-rod cover on the ML2 cheapens the look a bit. I'd prefer it in black or matching the finish.
- Matching finish on the headstock on the ML1.
Overall I'm excited about the new models, congratulations!
Ok, very rough ballpark figures for the new guitars, they will retail for something like:
ML-1 £349 and ML-2 £399.
Estimated USA price for ML-1 is $436 excluding sales tax, ML-2 $498 excluding sales tax.
They come with a nice soft case.
Chappers, I'm so happy your reissuing both guitars, if I get one for Christmas or Birthday, I'll play it in my band all the time.
Amber looks and sounds absolutely KILLER.
I really like the polished fretboards.
Binding would be perfect.

Rob, when you got those guitars and unboxed them, did you do any setup on any of those guitars or di you just tune them and play them?
The guitar you guys pointed to is sick.It resembles my Suhr's flame maple top w/bound edge and what not.Sweet mates!!!But...the black cherry is also gorgeous,especially in certain light,up close etc...In closing,they ALL sounded killer man,really.Peace from the states!My vote again is for the greenish greyish color gloss flame finish piece.Whew!LOL
Very impressive so far. Why the reverse headstocks? Are there any tonal advantages to a reverse headstock? To me they are are a pain to reach for quick on stage tuning and much more difficult to restring. Still interested in purchasing. To me the plainer finishes the better. I would rather see more emphasis into overall tone, neck stability, top quality electronics, ergonomics than shiny finishes. Or at least a more meat and potatoes option as well as the shiny stuff. God job, I'm in!

Love how chuffed you are when the SBC ML-2 is unveiled, it sounds like you're about to weep with joy. Seriously thinking about an ML-2 for my next guitar, any idea how it would compare to a PRS SE Akesson sig?
That ML-2 flame top is AMAZING! Any way of keeping the back of the neck as a Matte/oiled finish and not the gloss? Binding would look fantastic too.

OMG! The sunburst and cherry ML 2. I want them! Exactly as they are in this vid. Do you ship to Sweden?
It's a pinch harmonic. It's easy to learn and there are plenty of tutorials around the web.
In short, when you pick, try to catch the string (very lightly, so it doesn't stop vibration) on the inside of your picking thumb, that will produce the squealing effect.

The Captain plays a mean blues, spot on everytime
that riff that Rob plays at 15:24 has always annoyed me, because he plays it so much, but when he kicked in the drive with that tiny marshall, it never sounded so good. AMAZING
I think the binding added onto the ML-2 would make it look SO classy.
WOW! That see through black cherry knocked me to the FLOOR ! Then you pulled out the amber burst, DAMN! How can ANYONE choose ONE? Those two ARE the BEST though! Those Koreans can BUILD SOME GUITARS! They build the Agile guitars and the world LOVES them! Chappers Guitars are my new MUST HAVE guitars now, looks, tone, it's all there isn't it?

Played the sunburst ML2 today and it blew the LPJ and 60s tribute Les Paul out of the water. No need to change the pick ups, these babies SCREAM!
When will we be able to order this guitars? I'm really interested in the see through black ml-1, and the see trough black cherry ml-2, but with the binding on the ml2 also, they look AMAZING! Please, i would love to have one of these.

Any thoughts on A) a T-model? and B) Left handed guitars? I would happily spend my money on a lefty ML2 (with binding, of course), but would be even more thrilled to purchase a lefty ML3 telecaster-shaped guitar with a coil tapped humbucker in the bridge and a classic (Lollar or Fralin) neck pickup.

I'm seriously tempted by the Antique sunburst ML-2 I was looking at the 2012 Gibson LP standard mainly due to awesome flame finishes, the Coil tapping option and a love of the LP shape, but I do believe my head has been turned. If you do the ML-2 in the black finish, like the ML-1 in the vid, I think I'd be totally sold.
Obviously the 1st batch will sell straight away but are you going to have demo models at Andertons when there's some to spare??
Is there a reason why there is a 3 way selector on the ML1 instead of the 5 way ? That would add some more versatility ! The trans black looks awesome Rob !

Wow! Congrats! I wish you all the success in the world! In years to come chapman guitars will be up there with: Ibanez, Gibson, Fender and the like. I can't wait to get myself the ML-1! Hopefully one day, you will endorse me LOL.

also would you ever consider doing a ML1 with a HxH configuration, would love to put a Humbucker in the neck in one of those but couldn't bring myself to attack that stunning top!
I love the look of the veneer finish but the natural ones just sound so much better..couldn't resist the Black Cherry though.
The ML2 really need binding. And is the back of the neck shouldn't be gloss. (at least, i think i saw a gloss neck on the red one)
If these adjustments will go through, i will buy the Amber Sunburst! Looks and sounds fantastic!!

Just checked out Andertons. ML-2, now with binding, works out to $715 Canadian. What a deal! Thats cheaper than the cheapest Les Paul Studio at Long Mcquade
ML-2 in see-thru black with binding. The sunburst ML-2 - plus binding! - is my favourite,
Even better: a dark blue like the big G use on their LP Std. Been in love with that finish since I saw you two and Bea play a Std in that finish some time last year or so.
And truss-rod covers in black or body colour. The natural finish doesn't go very well with every body colour in my opinion.
I'd happily trade in my Epiphone LP Traditional Pro for one of those ML-2s described - especially the blue one!
The ML-2 is a straight up winner as is. Off to the web site to check specs more in depth. The ML-1 with 2-humbuckers & a 5/way switch would be the bees knees, too.

Very cool - talking about G-string sticking in the nut, and going to a graphite nut! Thanks for that info. I have a 1970's Matsumoku Vantage LP that was very well made, set neck, mahogany and Walnut - all good... so then i replaced the tuners with Grover 18:1, the nut to a bone nut... but... i still get a bit of g-string bind... now i know what to do!

Those ML-2's, especially the Amber Sunburst one, would look BADASS with binding!

Sure. You're just going to have a lot of cable spaghetti issues, if you have any more pedals than two. Long cables tend to get tangled quite a bit, and you will be untying lots of knots every time you move your pedals from one place to another. So short patchcables might be a good investment, if and when you start gigging and acquire more pedals.

I'd go Natural ML1, I think... but that Amber Burst ML2 is pretty freakin' sexy, too.
I'd also say neck binding (maybe not body or headstock binding?) on the veneer ML2s - white binding for the Black Cherry and more of a pearloid on the Amber Burst, to be specific;):) So, there are my two or three cents:D

@ 9:45, flame top see-through gets my vote (ML-1) and is my favorite and love the binding (reminds me of my Suhr Modern's binding), really nice looking guitar.
Binding would be awesome, but only single binding. A coil split on the Ml-2 would be great, so no mods are needed, if possible one for each pickup. And if possible a no-load tone control. Also what is the Wiring for the new ML-1s?
These guitars looks great. The grey flame top ML1 is a beaut. I'd love to have a go on one. Might have to take a trip to Guildford & say hello.
I produced most of the structural drawings for the new(ish) building a couple of doors up from Andertons! :) I was on site a fair bit, but never dropped in.
The red ML-2 would look pretty cool with a cream binding and like you have it with chrome hardware or black hardware would look awesome too! Also the ML-1 would look awesome in Red with a Cream Binding!!!
OnT: Keep the laquer on the back of the neck of the ML-2. It look SO much better. If you like a satin neck finish, there is always sand paper available.
Lee's playing during the Jam around 20:10 reminds me of Peter Frampton. It gave me goosebumps.
The green and the cherry sunburst are te best ones. What about adding little pickguards? and metal cover plates for the mics?
