Noriyuki "Pat" Morita and Academy Award® winner Hilary Swank co-star in this story of a rebellious teen, Julie, who blossoms with a little help from her friends - in this case, the wise Mr. Miyagi and a trio of Buddhist monks! - Фільми й анімація
From the nose honk to blow out your lights, Mr. Miyagi had the best finishing moves.
Agreed. I actually see it an elegant finishing rather than it being funny 😊
Chicken, why is it orange in Chinatown?
Pat morita was so badass in the karate kid franchise!.John M Guinto
Hell yeah he does, he was Mr. Miyagi.
One thing I can say about this movie was how Miyagi humbles Dugan here. They way that he humbled Kreese and Silver in the other movies. Using their methods of “no mercy” and “when the enemy is at weakest you destroy them” and making them feel fear before playing a joke.
Noriyuki Pat Morita From stand up comedian to accomplished dramatic actor. A true legend.
Abso-freakin’-lutely.
Daniel and Juilee, you two had a wonderful sensei/father figure.
Pat Morita was actually 6'", but his body double was Warwick Davis
Arnold Schwarzenegger struggled to overpower Dugan (Total Recall). Mr. Miyagi didn't drop a sweat. Miyagi was absolutely invencible.
but it took a bug and jonny rico to kill him (star ship troopers)
Also the voice of Sam fisher
Even Walker, Texas Ranger took a little longer than this to drop that guy.
Connor Mcleod struggled with him in Highlander 2
so well said, since then Arnold has sleepless nights
He could defeat the alien arachnids, but he can't beat the Miyagi.

No one could barely lay a hand on Miyagi. Of course he got his butt whooped.
"Honk" is a Ultimate Secret Technique From Myagi.. Daniel, Julie, Chozen Are Now Masters Of it 😂😅😂
Hehe. Totally Epic, Classic & Funny all at the same time
Miyagi actually learnt it from a Kung Fu master, when he was visiting Honk Kong ...

How Miyagi when from Honking to Blowing people out is just Amazing!

Mr Myagi was one of my All Time favorite movie characters.

Not as good as Georges Flores in Green Card.

There are some situations where it would not bad to have Mr. Miyagi at your side.
Like which ones?
@@patrickgriffitt6551 in public transport, in supermarkets. I live in Germany.
@@Kekulevonstradonitz Yes sir. After reading your reply I realized that my response was quite vague. I meant that I couldn't think of a place where I would not like to be accompanied by Mr. Miyagi. Thank you for helping me see my error.
@@patrickgriffitt6551 In this I totally agree with you. Who is not willing to have him for a visit? He's not only a fighter, he's a philosopher and more. The best dad to his karate kids and more. The only disadvantage I see that you cannot fight with him. The same like my friend with his dan grade in karate. He can't figt with me, he says. With miitary drill he can only do the things he learned. I will not write what this is. It's too cruel.
Notice how the bad guys almost all use just straight punches against Miyagi? And they telegraph the hell out of them. Silver mixed it up a bit, but Kreese went right through the glass twice, lol.
RIP Pat Morita
I guess Dugan wasn't worthy of the miyagi nose honk! 😂
This Eric is an awesome damsel in distress.

"Miyagi eat Tuna with garlic and no brusha his teeth."
It wasn't until I seen Cobra Kai that I realized Mr Miyagi just unlocked the other side of Miyagi Doe in this sene.

I would say that Col. Dugan is most likely the least skilled fighter of all the main “over the hill” villains in the Karate Kid franchise. I believe that all the main villains are ranked as follows from 1 being the most skilled to the highest number being the least skilled.
1. Sato Toguchi
2. Terry Silver
3. John Kreese
4. Col. Dugan
Although we never got to see Sato fight, we know that he was Mr. Myagi’s more or less equal because they both trained Myagi-Do under Mr. Myagi’s father, and Mr. Myagi was able to defeat every other villain (other than Sato) in the 4 Karate Kid movies……with only Chozen’s spear striking him on the back in the second movie.
When Mr. Myagi fought Terry Silver, it took him a few moments to defeat him. Yet when he fought John Kreese, he quickly took him down before fighting Terry Silver. Then with Col Dugan, all he did was throw basic punches at Mr. Myagi. He did not even adapt to Myagi’s fighting. He just kept on doing the same thing. However, with Terry Silver, he kept adapting to Mr. Myagi’s moves and tried new attacks on him.
When I saw that car pulled up as a kid, I thought the monks were gonna pop off
Myagi never dies!! 🔥💯🤙
"Fighting no good, someone always get hurt"
Mr. Miyagi drank enough sake before the fight to make a charged breath attack.
For Christ's sake fisher, this mission is over. You got beat up by an old man
There is a theory going around that during Kreese's Vietnam flashback in Cobra Kai, the winner from the first death match over the snakes before Kreese and the Captain's match was Dugan.
I know who you're talking about, the mystery man, I mean he looks just like who a young Dugan could be, could it had been him? I say it's a possibility, I wouldn't be surprised if it was confirmed to be true!
Looks like Mr Miyagi had a strong breath, that was his finishing shot 🙂
So classic of Mr Miyagi. I wish I had him for a Sensei
Had some sushi the night before that was a little off.
Never unestimate the deadly impact and range of tonsil stones.
Lots of sake.

Michael Ironside is Iconic
I love the whe way she held that axe kick for a split second before dropping it on his damn spine. He's going to feel that one tomorrow.
Ned probably still feels it now……especially with age (been almost 3 years since that spinal incident)!!!!
It was funny looking but it actually shows her flexibility since she could hold it there rather than dropping it instantly
I wouldn't want to fight Hillary Swank to when those high beams are flashing me in the face
Remember when the guy who played Ned got knocked out of a tree by Paulie Walnuts on the Sopranos I can’t count how many times I watched that💯💀🤣
The toughest guys always gang up on one guy.
That moment you realize Miyagi defeated Darkseid
I just now noticed, who that was from the superman movies. it was hard to recognize the other guy without the lightning shooting out of his eyes.
And Jester from top gun
Once they all saw what Julie did to Ned, they all went silent
I love Mr. Miyagi's character because he is humble and well-respected. He abhors hatred and violence, so he cleans up the bully and its mess. 👍😃👍
the best part is that as a bostonian i can tell that this was filmed in several parts of massachusets wich is were the film takes place
You know for a guy who doesn't like fighting he sure just do it a lot
can't wait to see Dugan and Ned in Cobra kai.
Doubtful lol

Unlikely!
Mr Miyagi thought everyone that understanding is more important than raw power.

@@powerstar8862 sure she will. It just takes time. They have to let us know when she’s gonna be in Cobra Kai season six it’s only Mouths away
For as awesome as Miyagi was, he never once looked like he was actually dangerous. Those kicks were slow enough that grass could have grown on his foot before he connected
Pat Morita had no training on any kind of martial arts and he was 62 years old here. It was already hard to sell it back in the first Karate Kid movie, they would need some top notch editing here to sell a proper fight here, and they didn't.
@@rafaellima83Even Hillary Swank looked stiff as a board in her fight scenes. The movie was bad, simple as that
But the impact of the blows gave him all the time he needed to setup the next one.

Nobody messes with Arnold or his students BWAHAHAHA !! Happy Days
Dugan having the Alpha Elite’s blow up Eric’s car is so similar to Terry Silver having Mike Barnes furniture store burned down and Dugan heavily believes in no mercy a lot like how Kreese and Silver do, I truly cannot wait to see if Dugan comes back in season 6
Hopefully he pops up in Cobra Kai

Mr Miyagi must have really bad breath🤪
Dugan here is exactly how I pictured Snape from the Harry Potter books. Rickman was a great actor dont get me wrong. He just wasnt how Snape was described in the books.
Why must there allways be so much fighting in fighting movies?
🫤
I was kind of expecting Miyagi to honk his nose like he did to Kreese.
"Then you and I finish"!!
Absolutely fantastic! A true insight to the realities of a karate duel between masters , with the same degree of relevance that an introductory video on origami would have to the biology of poisonous tree frogs.
Easy there, fella. It's entertainment, not an instructional video.
@@zounds13 Easy is what it was. Could have been appropriately far worse.
Dugan wasn’t a master of karate. He was a master of hand to hand Army combat. There’s a huge difference between the two styles.
@@dtyodeller But hugely similar in the portrayal of skill (I use the word loosely).

This Top Gun guy makes a great Bad Guy; also in Walker Texas Ranger too.
Also in Total Recall with Arnold
You are talking about the Canadian actor Big Mike Ironside !!!
Mr. Miyagi a great roll "model" in addition to a "model" karate fighter!!
The guys kicking his ass saved his life. Driving around with incredibly volatile combustibles in your car is dangerous. I mean, how else would half a second of flame make the car explode like that?
special effects. Notice that the car blown up, did not have an engine.
If they'd soaked the car in petrol beforehand.
So fucking cheap lol
Gas cap removed
Although the group start off inflicting brutal punishment and enjoying it, there is a hint that they have some morality. When Ducan says "finish him off", they are clearly in doubt, as if they can see he's had enough and they have enough of a moral compass to stop inflicting a beating on a man who is down and can't get up.
They're still young. They were looking to Dugan as an authority figure in doing all the things they did, but at some level they realized there was a dividing line which they hadn't been taught yet, or they had learned it from their parents and knew it was too much.
Miyagi could've killed dugan right then and there if he wanted to. A great display of self-discipline and restraint. Critical fundamentals in any martial arts.
Lots of stars in this. Dugan and Eric would go to star in SeaquestDsv and one of Dugan's students are the Ghoul from Fallout
So now Ned the others knows what it’s like to be bullied, when they see it the hard way of what kind of a person Colonel Dugan Really is .
2:09 First he tries to force them to kill Eric when they got shocked 😳and confused 😕.

I think so because Johnny is the 1st person in Cobra Kai and in KK1 then Chozen in KK2 is midway like S3 and Mike Barnes in KK3 Appears in S5 so Julie-San will Appear in S6 maybe
The moment Miyagi said "then we finish", you knew Dugan was done for.
1:10 That was a pretty sick counter by Ned. McGowan was clearly outclassed regardless of being outnumbered.

Julie almost got gets slap high five jackass fricking hilarious 😂 6:18
he was a real Colonel in the U.S. Army. Dugan’s rank of Colonel is higher than John Kreese, who was a Captain in the Vietnam War. Based on his age and rank in the US Army Special Forces, it is possible that Dugan was in the Vietnam War and potentially knew Kreese, and possibly even Terry Silver and George Turner.
And both were utterly beaten by... a Technician 5th Grade (T/5).
That’s a lot of “possibles”
Interesting theory, and a huge possibility, I wouldn't be surprised if it confirmed to be true!
Miyagi say, "No such thing bad student, only bad teacher".
Dugan on his own is like most bullies a coward if someone spit on him he run away
dugan's little pervy grin @ 3:18 What-A-Creep and Lowlife
This ending was a letdown - it’s filmed entirely in the dark (to hide the choreography) and both Julie and Miyagi especially, seem to be moving as slowly as glaciers
Also not helped by the fact that Duggan isn’t a credible threat to Miyagi
I know Miyagi is meant to be the master but in Karate Kid 2 he at least took a blow or two when fighting Chosen’s gang
Slowly sidestepping and kicking a guy in the stomach 🥱
great movie
This is easily as intense and as violent as the three Karate Kid films with Daniel.
