Put some recycling or garbage in the previously industrial area. While you are over processing capacity, your coverage range is low and that would help those buildings have more service coverage.
Do a "club" search in the workshop to get the "temperature" nightclubs for along your downtown beach (Club Celsius, Club Kelvin, etc.). And ya can't forget HOOTER'S! (Heh.) Also in the workshop are several "(old) factory" buildings and the Modular Georgian Mill Pack to fill in that downtown industrial area.
Where the highway tunnels at 20:46, should build that up with pedestrian bridges, make it look developed (times-square-ish) and add in a bunch of billboards/advertisements.
Love the videos! Thank you! I know you're not big on the subways but extending it down to the train station seems like it would make sense and that empty corner would be perfect for it. Also, you pulled out that clock building a couple of times, it might work well when you build your big university. Maybe an Ivy League type school with brick buildings and with dorms, tennis courts, track & field, pool, smaller stadium's and what not. In a future game I think that monorail station would look awesome in the spot that you placed the underground train at the airport, both the station and that airport have that modern look and would probably blend nicely.
I live in St. Louis where the Gateway Arch is, there is a law that states no building can be built taller than it. So boom around 60yrs old and has never been surpassed in height.
For the highway on ramp that is backing up, have two lanes turn left onto it. That way cars might not merge stupidly on the turn before (where it’s annoying you). And then add more lanes onto the highway so that the cars don’t slow down to merge.
In the downtown industry area, if you set it to either forestry or farming it will be no smokestack (and no pollution). And if it is not a fertile area, you should get all processing factories. I didn't like this map on the workshop, but you have made something good on it. 😀
Looking great Semaj, what about a landmark in the Fairview District, perhaps a ferris wheel type thing going out a bit into the sea... I love how you subtly follow my suggestions😂😅 please continue
Don't know if anyone else has suggested it but why don't you plop down a bunch of office, residential and so forth way out of the city just to have a field of buildings to choose from rather than going thru them all the time. You can just copy them and plop them in the city where they fit. Saves you alot of time and hassle.
19:25 I don't know about you, but I'm feeling deja vu when watching you placing those factories, James. I don't know, I think it was the same thing as one of the area in Sedona. But btw, good job! :)
In Ottawa the tallest building is still the Peace tower (The Parliament Building rebuilt after the 1916ish fire that destroyed it) because there is a law that states no building within the city can be as tall as it.
I love the way english people say "Grande" instead of just saying it like grand, the money term, they say it like Monet, with a really pronounced e when we don't even say it, its just funny to see
I want so bad a city where the citizens only walk on paths like the one at 25:05! Like always off the ground accompanying the road, it would be helpful for the traffic sinse it would not be needed to cross the road since u could just go over it, am it the only one?
I heard about noise pollution for the first time in High School when I was asked to write an essay on it/dangers of it and whatnot. I was so confused on how it was even considered a thing. It was prime not-giving-a-fuck vibes at the end of the year so I just wrote the whole essay essentially just saying "lmao just like move away or grow up" over and over. Like I'm fairly certain I included "lmao" at some point. Not sure I got a good grade on that one 😂😂😂
New Sydney, cool you should make New Melbourne next and New, every major city in Australia. Why dont you make a city with an Australian like region or a straight Australian map, I think that'll be another idea so you can build New Brisbane too... If you want to know, I googled major cities an Australia so I can put down the third largest city, Brisbane.
I don’t understand why you have massive residential skyscrapers adjacent to dirty industries. That just looks weird. I know you say you don’t always go for realism but this definitely seems like the sort of thing that you would normally not do.
I think that you should put sound barriers surrounding the highway, James

I think u should add a blimp from one side of the bay to another
You really really need more trams on both lines.
Try applying a european theme to the industrial area, it should have more brick warehouses an such buildings
Didn't you have a tram terminal road in the Sedona LP? Why didn't you use that instead?
You can download some custom warehouses from the workshop and just place. They would fit way better than the vanilla factories. :)
Love the hotel area you realy need to place more by the waterfront even futher down
38:00 the intersection of the on/off ramps needs a stop sign, not a light, to allow for a smoother flow for the intersection prior to it.
Sound barriers, ploppable trees all over and more tree-lined streets and your noise levels should be fixed :)
If you want smaller RICO buildings look up the Salt Lake City collection!
37:00 that Hotel would have looked quite cool if James had of spun it around, so that the curve of the hotel, followed the curve of the road =D
I love all your sims stuff but the stuff you do on cities is just on another level. The city looks awesome!
I quite like the weird right hand drive bit by the train station. It’s neat.
Love the videos! Thank you!

21:26 i feel this rant is inspired by the luna park drama going on in Sydney at the moment

The Sydney Tower is advertising for the town in Sedona, Westfeild!
Maybe it’s a good idea to build a “central parc” somewhere nearby the higways.
Hey, Part 18 of this isn't in the Playlist, started watching a few days ago and just noticed it :)
Semaj's favourite phrase "you know what?" 😂😂
Don't you have Prop It Up anymore? Just because a building's trees are on a road or train line, that doesn't mean that the building can't go there.
Beautiful and big towers hmmm perfeeeeeeeeeeeect
5:39 Grove Street. Home. At least it was before I fucked everything up.
Man i was thinking the same! Someone needs to do the original los Santos in cities skylines
Can you extend monorail to the new residential&commercial area? It looks very high density and a monorail stop totally makes sense.
Add in the harbour bridge in the bay next to the ocean near the island
Looking great Semaj, what about a landmark in the Fairview District, perhaps a ferris wheel type thing going out a bit into the sea... I love how you subtly follow my suggestions😂😅 please continue

James, can you use the Green Cities specialization for some of the areas in the downtown?
19:25 I don't know about you, but I'm feeling deja vu when watching you placing those factories, James. I don't know, I think it was the same thing as one of the area in Sedona. But btw, good job! :)

East Coast Taco DC has the same thing with The Washington monument (they have been thinking about changing the law though)
Imagining driving on those roads at 6min. So many crashes
the walkway in front of the warehouse actually blocks two of the cargo doors in the warehouse model.
Why not let both lanes turn onto the highway ramp? There are few vehicles going other ways, so I doubt it would not impact traffic.
LOL I never even noticed the cars drive on the left until you pointed it out. xD
Go find the Salt Lake City collection. It has a lot of mid size high rises.
ohh booy how i miss Sedona.
You should rock that beach front with theses Rico hotels and Casinos
City's looking good Semaj! Maybe add some more trees in empty spots & around the highway for sound & aesthetics ...? =) Love this series!
Great video and great city! Keep up the gold work!
Add in a station on that little strip of “Industry” u converted
lol the flat iron building! my old firm restored the facade. :3
I see you're creating Gold Coast/Surfers Paradise down there now 😉
Thinks about noice polution in the highrise area. Very good. Then places a casino next to the new residential area -_- Haha
I love the way english people say "Grande" instead of just saying it like grand, the money term, they say it like Monet, with a really pronounced e when we don't even say it, its just funny to see
Maybe put some trees downtown to deal with the noise
5:45 The only part of the city where people drive the right way...
reffering to the industrial zone at the rails, would a custom theme do the trick?
and that one law that make big factories come to your town
At the entrance of higway from industial near aitport make roundbout
2 make a big city park beetwen rail and higway
3 make a beach
Soo excited for this episode!!👏🏻❤
You need to have more parklife stuff lmao
There should be a college campus by the barrrrs/clubs.
Should make that smoke stack industrial area into low income housing
I LOVE IT
I want so bad a city where the citizens only walk on paths like the one at 25:05! Like always off the ground accompanying the road, it would be helpful for the traffic sinse it would not be needed to cross the road since u could just go over it, am it the only one?

There should be more parking lots!
James, PLEASE put the dump hotel in the downtown area. its hilarious
Is Dump a play on Trump?
You should make the redeveloped area into a UNIVERSITY!!!
What happened to sedona?
Build a 2City on the map with Higher buildings then Sydney one and whats with sedona and the Nationalparc
Thoughts on City Skylines Switch?
Also call the new nightclub district Bondy Beachfront
New Sydney, cool you should make New Melbourne next and New, every major city in Australia. Why dont you make a city with an Australian like region or a straight Australian map, I think that'll be another idea so you can build New Brisbane too...

Can you look for a beach asset
Does anyone know which map Semaj used here?
How come this game doesn't have high density industrial? I know about offices but their should be some high density big buildings in vanilla
You should build the military airport
Can you put some hotels in the down town. Also put a cable car in the downtown area. Go Sydney FC
Don't forget about the university:)
What's the map name?
Of course you're just going to ignore realism 😂
JUST PUT SOME DAMN TREES !
Whats the map?
You can download a pre made workshop tram terminus
It will be good fit for that terminus at the start of this video
Are you sure that the keyboard problem is the game and not your keyboard?
High buildings next to Highway 🤔
BRING BACK THE 1 HOUR VIDEOS OR STREAM IT
I NEED MORE
Well this city is turning out to be anticlimactic
I really want to see city at night
Amitiy Exchange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine Semaj replaying Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 one of his best series.
notification squad!!
This series isnt even close to sedona i will just say that
