And no, I will not be switching to an easier language. I’m absolutely in love with Vietnam, it’s culture, and it’s languages. I believe the pain is worth it 😫✊
The problem with Duolingo is its too formal, even in the English translation 😭😭 not many ppl I know would say "assume" or "it does not" it's normally always think and doesn't

i think if you know french its kinda easier to learn vietnamese the alphabet of vietnamese is based on french one because some random dudes in french-vietnam war try to write vietnamese using latin
As a person growing up speaking chinese for a long time, I did something similar like you but chinese lol. Also it does usually only allow around 48 percent of the class even if your native and got everyth correct... Doulingo does tend to get some parts wrong and it is fustrating as a speaker. Has some of the most ridiculous errors. Love the video

Native Irish Speaker here, please never trust Duolingo for Irish and I presume other Minor Languages on Duolingo. Basically even though I'm a Native Irish speaker it doesn't think I can pass the test to skip ahead (It's super simple it just corrects it terribly) and then you gotta pay for hearts, otherwise you'll lose all your hearts from THEIR errors solely.
