Excellent tips & video! We used Teaching Textbooks the first year I homeschooled. My daughter has always hated math, so it's hard to gauge whether it was the right one for her.... but I liked it. There are some things I wish I had done differently to maximize what was available to us in Teaching Textbooks. This year was her first year back in public school.... (prayers)..... I miss homeschool & feel it worked much better for her. Now, she has enormous amounts of homework every night, which has been a struggle, (not to mention her adhd). Homeschooling is not off the table. We are taking it year by year. Right now, she says she wants to stay in public.... All that means is we have to do some extra solidifying of biblical concepts at home.

Great tips!!! I love this video because we seem to have some of the same problems. We bought the Apple Pencils for the iPads which was very helpful.

What if your child 2 years behind? My son is in 3rd grade. He really doesn't like Math. I tried time 4 learning. He wasn't interested in it.

Question: with the scratch pad, does it save the work they did to see how they worked through a problem or is it all just automatically deleted?… Thanks!

Actually, I am not sure. You could always have them screen shot it?

It saves the work. So if you delete the lessons and they have to retake it. The scratch pad doesn't erase. Which is a double-edged sword, could show them where they went wrong, or they just enter the wrong answer again.
