I am from South Carolina an my mom taught me to cook just like you and everyone in my family begs me to do the cooking for all special occasions they like my food better than other members of family I love your since of humor and enjoy your show
I just love your little calamities and how you don't edit it out or make much of it and just keep on cooking. It makes me feel like you're an old friend
For busy working folks to save time, I made this and cooked the hashbrowns and onions separately in the microwave and air fried chops until almost done. I mixed soup and liquids together and added 1 tblsp garlic powder and tsp onion powder then put hashbrowns in and mixed together. The rest followed instructions and layered with cheese etc. Convection baked for 30 min at 375 covered then uncovered for 10 min. Delicious!
Making this for supper tomorrow as I have chicken in the crock pot currently. Just found your channel a few days ago. We like country cooking at this house, too. And casseroles are always a favorite. Thanks again for a new casserole idea.
Oh my word. Dear Tammy I just come across your upload and I'm bowled over. Fantastic recipes you have there. Here in England GB we often say the way to a mans heart is through his belly ( tummy) I disagree because the way to a true mans heart is having a wonderful woman like you. Your fabulous! Wow, I'm going to try quite a few of your recipes and I can't wait. I hope your doing well in recovery from cancer and I wish and pray for you that your God be with you daily. Thank you, your fabulous fantastic fabulous!
Looks yummy... My grandma made something like this but with mashed potatoes instead of hash browns it tasted wonderful she even did the same with Chicken. I will deffenitly be trying this soon with the hash browns. I love that I won't have to peel and mash potatoes. Looks so good...
I make this with french fried onions, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and I brown the pork chops first. I put the chops on top with a good layer of the onions and cheese. When I get out of the hospital and can cook again I am going to try your way.
Beat me to it! I was going to say that a well! 😄 Now I can do something with all my Hashbrowns in the freezer other than my Hashbrown Casserole! Thought about doing it this way but I guess I get in a rut and don't think about doing it till it's too late in my cooking! I may just add my chops to them and proceed as Tammy does! Hubby will love it this way!
I just love you over there in Collard Valley Cooks❤️I love how you just get down to business when ur cooking..adding the quick visual recipe for the pork stock..and answering the question if we can use a crockpot to cook this recipe..You are everything for the home cook 👍🏾..Love your channel 💕
Love that I found this channel!!! Down home conversation and just feels REAL!! I use a lot of BILL’S seasoning….this family loves is simple seasoning,,,,,
Looks like kugeli. MY dad made this often, his dad from Lithuania. But,you had to grate the potatoes with a box grater. We had 9 in our family, wonderful family meal, filling, delicious. We would gather round the table and watch the whole process, mouths watering.thank you.
Made this for supper tonight and EVERYONE loved it. (I did shred my own potatoes instead of using frozen!) They even went back for seconds! Thanks for sharing another great recipe!
I made this casserole tonight. I'll give it 9 out of ten. I think next time I will try defrosting the potatoes and allow them to drain somewhat. Will definitely give it another go. The good thing about the extra liquid is that it tastes great, am going to freeze it to use in soup stock. Chops were nice and tender, it cooked one hour covered and 75 minutes uncovered (but topped with foil just at the end to prevent over browning. Thanks for this recipe!
Girl it looks fantastic. I season my pork chops dust them in flour and quick fry them to just get the color on them. Then I make a delicious brown gravy where I fried them. Place left over rice in bottom of casserole dish and add the chops and cover them with the gravy and bake them for 30 minutes at 350...I bet hash browns would be great instead of the rice. Thanks Tammy for the recipe 😊😊😊 and the inspiration.
O Tammy , that looks good . Reminds me of my mom . Ty this us why I like watching you it's like MY MOM USE TO COOK & HER MEX FOOD TOO. THE SAD THING WE CANT SMELL THE DELICIOUSNESS WE SEE U COOKING ..
Just found your channel and I’m currently cooking this and I will post an update we try it. Can’t wait!!! Update: This is so yummy that my kids asked when I was going to make this again.
I had everything on hand except pork chops, so I used the chicken breasts I had in my freezer. I browned them a wee bit first after soaking them in buttermilk.Turned out great! I love recipes that are versatile like this. Thank you for sharing! My family loved it, and like Amy, kept going back for more. 😋🥰
I can’t wait to try this!! Low maintenance! I wish more people would take pride in cooking or at least show some initiative. Simplicity and flavor! Her arms tell the story of a long term cook various burns etc. least that’s my own arms in appearance Thanks for sharing!!! Kissing don’t last! Cooking do !!
This looks fabulous. I plan on making this soon. But, will have to cut it in half. Only 2 of us.I like that you didn't edit out the not so perfect parts. That's real world cooking . Thank you for sharing this with us. On a non related subject ..After reading your description below, you live in one of my favorite places I've visited a few times. My husband has been sent to kings bay sub base to work every now and then. We even concidered moving there. That's how much we like it there. But, I Live in costal VA, and have been hit with a lot of tropical events. It's. Getting old. We plan on moving inland soon when he retires.
I made this tonight and.....WOW! Truly decadent and delightful.😊 I mixed the soup mixture with the thawed hashbrowns and this made it so easy. Could not figure out what seasoning to use on chops so I took a chance on Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning and it took it over the top! Not too bold, light sprinkling. Did not have celery salt so I used crunched seeds. Used Colby Jack and Mozzarella, shredded myself. It really makes a difference on smoothness. My roommate hates chops and had 2 helpings! I did not forewarn her and now she is asking me to put this in our dinner rotation! Lol. Thank you for the recipe. You are truly gifted! Btw; I did lightly brown chops in pure butter....😜 Left bone in a couple for flavor and you are now my dog's favorite chef!🤣🐕

Thank You, Tammy for this recipe, it looks so good. I have to cook our meat tender because my husband had a stroke and also has dementia so I am always looking for new recipes, I know he is going to love this. PRAYERS
My mother in law makes this but she will mix the hashbrowns or rice in with the milk, sour cream and cream of mushroom then she chopped the onion n added it to the mixture as well, salt n pepper n a can of cream of celery then the pork chops on top. Either way it's going to be really the same n taste the same way imp. Sometimes if u use rice it does get soggy/mushy and I don't like that. But some do. This recipe is delicious I know bc I have had it n I love the xtra pepper to dishes too. It just takes it over the top in my opinion. Yummy 😋!!
Looks so good and I bet it tastes even better. I make a hashbrown casserole very similar to this so I can't wait to throw some pork chops (maybe even some boneless, skinless chicken thighs) into the mix! 😄 Thanks for sharing this. ❤
When my boys were growing up I made pork chop casserole, peeled and sliced thin potatoes and onions layer in large casserole pan salt and pepper add a large bag of frozen mixed vegetables add pork chops and mix cream of mushroom soup 2cans mix well with milk salt and pepper chops pour soup mixture over chops and cover with foil and bake 350 for 45 minutes or until potatoes and onions are done uncover and bake 10 to 15 minutes the boys loved it still do today when they come for dinner I always make pork chop casserole. Yummy I could go for some now momma called it one pan dinner that was 50 years ago. Even 50 plus years we had what today is called sheet pan dinner. Lol
