This is not only about guitar mastering. Beyond. The soul and the heart of a pure man. He doesn’t care if he is the guitar god (yes he is). This song particularly touches me very much since I knew the might Scorpions. In Search of the Peace of Mind that was recorded in Lonesome Crow has a magic touch. And more. The innocence. The innocence of a god-child. In this new version, Michael Schenker express both spirits. In fact in this version he tells us all about his life. Joy, sadness, success, life itself. The third part of the song tell us that the little Michael grew up and became who he is today. A complete story of this life (just life) in one fantastic song. In fact it is more than a song. A blessing.
His first written song with scorpions, a 50 yo gem that defies time still being so fresh and beautiful. Thank you Michael for the great contribution you gave to music thru all these years.
I have been saying this for years Michael is the true Albert Einstein of all guitar second place is first loser and that's where everybody is behind Michael on top of the mountain that includes Jimi Hendrix that includes Jimmy Page and even yes with much respect EVH. Michael is the king of all guitar
BULLSHIT... He couldn't tie Randy's shoe laces. He's good... REAL good... One of my favorites.. But Nobody has topped Eddie or Randy... NOBODY... Hell... Buckethead would roll him up and smoke him like a joint.
@@jackhandy2165 Michael has artistically topped both Randy and Eddie, both of whom were most awesome no doubt. Schenker has been in the great bands, the great solo bands, the great projects with other legendary musicians, done the great acoustic instrumentals, the great electric instrumentals. Michael Schenker has been my favorite guitarist since I first heard him in 74. This has never changed. Original, unmistakable master! Monster vibrato and exciting to listen too! I’ve noticed over the years that Schenker fans don’t ever jump ship. What a privilege to have had him all these years and he’s still playing!
One year now. Certainly, should be well over a million views. Just goes to show that popularity and majority don't mean much when it comes to taste, reason and quality. With all that Michael has been through this is not only a great recording but a testament to overcoming. Amen and awesome. Carry on maestro. Rock on brother.

Spectacular!!!!! I have been a fan of Michael Schenker since UFO first aired on Don Kirschners Rock Concert 74.This literally sent chills! This is now my favorite music video of all time...there is so much meaning in the remaking of this song. The time references the Universe etc. Wow!

But we had the 1st UFO LP w/Schenker and we-my friends knew...this was a band to be reckoned with. 1975 I saw them and my last concert, (I'm very disabled) was Uli Jon Roth with Michael closing it in 2004. Michael Schenker is a genuine master. Period. Many of his disciples have sadly already left us. Michael you are on a level not many get to. Excluding Lonesome Crow, early work UFO, this mortal creature has strived to always achieve individuality in his playing. Michael does. I'm 51 and the first time I heard Schenker was when I was 14. "Force it". That instantly opened my mind. Thanks my Teutonic Hero!!!
I didn't know what to expect cuz I have loved Lonesome Crow since I bought it in 75, but I am Blown Away by Michael on this remake. I always know what to expect from Michael- greatness!!!!!!! His note selection, feel, vibrato, speed, fluidity, I can never tire of it. #1 for all time!
I was afraid of the idea of reworking this song. I feel like the original one was perfection, with all things working in his place, nothing overplayed, nothing underplayed. It was perfection for me, and i saw any reworking as a heresy. But, Jesus, this is incredible. If he wants, Schenker can found his own religion. I know you can say "I prefer the old one" . I understand. Me too. But there is no need to chose. Hoy can enjoy freely both versions. If you feel nostalgic, you have the original classic, and if you have a prog-rock power metal day, you have the epic reworking. Fresh, melodic, modern sounding, complex, orientalish and epic. Pure immortal sound.

@@paulkcormier So I'm learning! The tone and sound coming out of his backline amps was bad to the bone, plus he was on fire at that 2018 gig. He was pushing those tubes into a growling monster tone I haven't heard before. He's a bad mofo- the REAL deal. All good other than his rants about Rudolph and the Scorpions screwing him. I've been a fan since Scorpions originally recorded this song with Michael on Lonesome Crow. Well, actually a few years later than the 1972 release. I was a freshman in hi school in 1973. When I started smoking pot in 1975, I got turned on to lonesome crow by my best friend Mike Sweeney. This version is excellent. I should mention Lonesome Crow was a specialty album and not in most record stores. The one place that sold it wanted like $30 or more, and that was a lot for me to give up a couple of weeks of smoking pot to pay for it. I finally listened to the entire song today, but it was like being in trance and jamming along with scorps and ufo (especially the last solo when compression and sustain guitar effects kick in) like I did everyday in hi school. I can still do it blindfolded.
That's Schenker's supremacy - right there! No other guitarist would even think this up, regardless of whether or not they could play it. And if they did, it would sound nowhere near as good.
