Paracord steering wheel wrap would be cool as hell
just do yourself a favor and dont do something like this. If you're gonna bother "restoring" the interior of one of these trucks, actually order a new core and bezel from ebay and a new cap from lmc truck. All this guy did will result in the dash being broken even more when you go to actually take it apart if you have to replace anything at all inside it like electronics, ac vents, radio, etc. Short term savings don't save you in the long run.

No, haven’t had any issues with it rattling. Just make sure to use some industrial glue like the one I show to keep it glued on permanently. As long as you get all the connecting spots pressed down and glued on then you shouldn’t have any issues 👍🏼
how has the dash held up after a year and without having the old one underneath for support?
For the plastics try the cerakote whipes they last a long time
Should have got a dash support bracket so it doesnt crack again, well, as soon.

Should have spent the extra money and actually got the dash replacement.
About $1,000 to have it redone at a shop, so I would much rather do the $150 option
@@SwanCanFixIt Hell yes, and that's why we're watching this anyway. You can, get the replace on amazon for 350ish though.
But I'd still get the cover.
@@SwanCanFixIt you can EASILY do an actual dash swap in a weekend (I did) with just a few simple hand tools. Parts, and recharging the ac was only $600 and that included a new heater core and ac evaporator… worth every penny and every second for those two days of work.
