  • Let's take an old secretary desk that was in rough shape and let's prep, repair, and chalk paint it to be a coffee bar. I'll walk you through the steps I took to get it ready for chalk painting. The desk was in rough shape and just wasn't going to be only a desk anymore.
I used Gravel Road Chalk Mineral Paint from @dixiebellepaint as the base and Sand Bar for the desk area. I also threw in some Antebellum Blue for a pop of color and Copper Bronze Glaze for a shiny finish on the Greek Key stencil. And, I gotta say, the Copper Gilding Wax on the decorative areas really ties the whole thing together. I shaded the drawer fronts with Caviar Chalk Mineral Paint to add some depth, and boom - a coffee bar with tons of personality!
