@@doctordave12 You're welcome.👍 It's been a washout hasn't it, but you did well and created a very nice video. Many thanks for your kind wishes, all the best for the New Year to you too.
We used to see a lot of Black 5s on the Somerset and Dorset line. I often wondered when I was I was a Kid if the boiler handles were a clock and kept looking at them to see if they moved.
Cheers! Yeah I did see someone stood there but he had an Umbrella and I didn't! Got drenched after a minute, such a contrast to Keighley earlier in the day.
The steam trains can only run around at Keighley so they pull the trains tender first from Oxenhope to Keighley and at the front from Keighley to Oxenhope.
Did they consider putting all three of them on the same train, or is that just an American over-the-top stunt sort of idea? You Brits really put us Yanks to shame with how many and the variety of steam locomotives you have in preservation. You may not have the Big Boy, but you do have quantity, and you get to run them far more often and in more places than we do.
Beautiful! Images so real you can smell them!
Thank you so much, nothing beats the sound and smell of a steam train approaching.
Listen to that beating heart. The only form of rail traction that actually has 'life'. Marvellous video.
Many thanks for watching and enjoying the video 😊
The sight and sound is tremendous at the approach to Keighley. Iconic locos and location. Thank you.
