Within seconds of starting my microwave to make a bag of popcorn, my dog began making vomiting noises. So I rushed him outdoors and completely forgot about the popcorn. The inside of my microwave is covered in oil. Hopefully this will help.

@@LuxDreamTo be honest I threw away the microwave. I'm better off not having one. I replaced it with a Zojirushi rice maker. Microwaves are bad for health.

Does it matter what kind of vinegar can I use apple cider?
Yes you can
I hate vinegar smell. Cut two lemons in half and use a cup of water on high for 3 minutes

I would have vacuumed it out first.
I don't mean to be disrespectful but you'll get the same results with just using water. Also when you go to get something out of microwave make sure you have a bit of paper towel because everything produces steam you could do a quick wipe out and never let it get that dirty. But we all get complacent sometimes so please just use water leave it in there for a couple minutes wipe it out move along.
Vinegar also removes bad smell and sanitizes it better than just water
