We just bought the white “S Select” package with the stock four cylinder. It’s very quick around town and adequate on the highway.
The interior is truly very nice. It is very noticeably quiet and is fun to drive. Mazda has used acoustic glass and lots of sound insulation.
It is not as technologically loaded as the Kia Sportage, but it covers the bases.
For us it came down to those two cars and we went the Mazda. No regrets.
Mazda is not marketing this car as well as it should. I only found out about this car by accident only because I rented it. Get the turbo 4 cylinder version with 256 horses. It is a blast to drive. No other SUV in its class can rival the driving experience you get from this car. I was thoroughly surprised at how well this thing drives, and I hate SUVs. I really do not care how this car looks. I only care about how it performs. To own this car, and not push it, is a big mistake. The fun factor in this car is impressive. I even like the turbo lag because when the turbo kicks in, it is like a sling shot.

Who doesn't love a big knob?
Terrific car but you can’t turn the radio/audio off without making the Mazda Connect go black. And the last audio played still comes on when the car is started. And fairly poor fuel efficiency.
The dealership does not want to sale select. We did not want a sun roof. So we have to wait months for the select. They have any model above select on the lot. We are not in a hurry.
Just bought a 2024 Select. Love it!
We got ours on January 20 2024.

Is the infotainment system touchscreen?
yes
It is not touch screen (while driving )by default. However it is very easy to enable this. There are a couple of UA-cam videos on this. I think this is the way to go.
Did you in know that CX-5 "gives good speeds"? Oh boy!
BEAUTIFUL car--- one of the very FEW however, that does NOT look good in WHITE.. most other colors look GREAT on it- but white kills the effect.
I'm the opposite. I think this car looks great in white. Looks bigger than a dark colour model. Just bought this model in September, and delivery is due this month.

I heard Pearl white is hard to fix/match if you have any damage to the paint.

I saw an ad saying the Mazda CX-5 will leave you speechless. It depicted a sleek sedan in that ad. Come to see it’s another typical SUV looks as boring and bland as any other shit can suv
The CX-50 is better looking in my opinion !
Imo NO SUV or crossover is good looking. I don’t know why or how this craze caught on but all they are is a short stubby TALL station wagon. At least station wagons were practical you could put 4x8” sheet rock or plywood in most of them at least the full-size ones
