bought mine early 2015, and it doesn't have serial number in it too. serial number came in recently. only realized they're putting serial number when I visited their site just now to check for the new one with black dial, another must-have...
I woulnt mind paying 5$ for a replica since the real is 150$+. Both are shit watches but at the end of the day, if you paid less than 10$ for it, you are winner.

Guys. I deal with Daniel Wellington. Technically, the watch isn't fake... DW buys their watch from Alibaba for around 19USD, and sell for around 150-250USD. I do business with the same manufacturer of theirs. This "Fake" watch you have is the same quality as the "Real" because its made from the same area as well as similar factories. DW has changed their manufacturers 2-4 times.

I’ve seen a lot of people getting confused over the authenticity of a DW watch. It’s quite amusing to read the comments section but the truth has already been posted by many other users. The DW factory is based in China which means it’s being bulk produced with little quality control. The only reason you assume some DW watches are ‘fake’ is because of the price which is 50% less than those being retailed in shopping malls. The truth is that the ‘fakes’ are actually from the same factory producing the ‘original’ watches but these fakes are being sold for a much lower price because the retail rejected these watches for several reasons such as the shop closed down or there was an oversupply of a particular design. Guess what happens to these watches. They’re sold to random agents who then sell them online for 1/4 of the price while still making tons of profits. Even those DW watches without the original packaging or warranty cards are original unless they’re being sold at absurd prices such as $5 then it’s obviously a fake which was probably made in a back alley with recycled aluminium.
Where did you read all that bullshit from? All DW dogshite starts off as a 3 dollar alibaba watch; which is then bought by DW, polished up, and sold for 200 dollars.

IRW, I can appreciate your efforts to go over all the differences, minor or not, but unfortunately I just don't think there is enough variation in the quality between a "fake" and a real DW to justify the higher cost. A fake Rolex /Omega, etc, is a travesty, but fashion brands in general are way overpriced, & not known for high quality, and DW is no exception.
Maybe you right, but it just the first impression and very interesting how will be looking both watches in 6-12 months everyday wearing.

For the Classic I can say that most of the differences you point out are just differences between the models. I own a 0209DW and a 0210DW (both legit) and I can say that most of the differences (manuals, box, etc.) are between the two models, too. Not saying the one in you video isn't fake, just that you can't tell by the different manuals or even the text on the back.

The watch is made in China I have actually dealt with the factory who make them. There is nothing special about the brand, it is a boutique brand nothing more nothing less. Better off buying a Lorus, Seiko or Sekonda. Watches like DW are manufactured for roughly no more than £10 including fancy packaging.

Daniel Wellington ain't cheap. Go to their website and you see they're shit overpriced watches from $150 to $250. Chinese ones sell for less that $10 on ebay.
On ebay you can buy authentic DW for about $85

Some other clues for inspection are the ᗡW logo on the watch face, back case and the leather strap will never be joined. There's always a clear space separating these two letters. Also, the positioning of the ᗡW logo for non numerical/roman numerical watch face will be aligned with the 12 o'clock pointer with the beginning of the letter W, not between the ᗡ and W.

I think you are wrong about the box, i bought one years ago that came in that supposed fake box. Also when I inquired at the time, I contacted DW support and they said there was not any fakes at the time. But that was years ago.
also for the watch case is not difficult to know when is a fake, like you can see about the thickness of the watch the fake one is more thick than the original, this because the case structure is made exactly for that 2 hands movement that allowed the watch be thin and slim, but in the fake they use a common 3 hands movement (cheaper than the 2 hands movement)so need to change totally the case structure, other important is the dots in the watch means the plating process is not the good one and also the quality of the material of the case has been recycled several times, or the material has lost the capacity to accept the plating processing, actually for the original one ,the brands are using steel 316 or 304,thats why the difference is so clear

Theres some insider information suggesting that Swissarex has access to the Rolex database and uses the same codes on their watches as the original ones. Because of this, its nearly impossible to distinguish them as fakes.

It would cost exactly the same to produce the fake as the "real". I think you got the same original watch produced at different times or at different plants. There is no consistency, even better watch companies produce slightly different looking manual, specially for different markets.
