It seems that in the opening they have a farewell gesture to Toriyama by incorporating his name into the lyrics. 'Yume wa TORIdori naYAMAnai AKIRAmenai...' Also, in the scene of Goku with his arms open, white feathers looking at the sky with rays of sunlight and the lyrics 'thousands of jabs and silly jokes.' 😢
0:56 As other people have written, the stick that Goku holds is called the "Nyoibou" (a stick that can be extended freely), and it also appears in the Chinese "Journey to the West," the source material for Son Goku, and in the story, it actually stretched from front to back, in other words, around the entire Earth 😂
9:17 Thanks to you inserting this song "Dan-Dan Kokoro Hikareteku (My heart is gradually drawn to it)/The Field of View," I was able to realize once again that "Ah, Japanese people are a people who enjoy the sound of words."😂 This "dandan" is used as an adverb meaning "gradually," or as a noun meaning "step-like." However, the very similar "dandadan" is a complete onomatopoeia, and to Japanese people it evokes something that is off-kilter and comical.🤭For example, it may be an appropriate description for the misaligned steps of the character in the "Strong Wind Slicked Back" look that was popular on the Japanese internet a while ago.😌 Other examples include "ZenZen" (not at all), "SanSan" (brilliantly), "DonDon" (one after another), "JinJin" (numbing), and "KinKin" (cold).😄
hey man nice reaction i just wanted to suggest something: you can try uploading the reactions as non short videos and you can use lines or stripes and images overlaying the episode to avoid copyright, keep going man!
It's interesting that anime theme songs are no longer localized in each country as they used to be, and people are now listening to the original versions. This has led to the spread of onomatopoeia and wordplay that only makes sense to Japanese people. But an explanation is still needed, isn't it? 🤗 7:50 If you ask a Japanese person to pronounce the title of this song, "Jan-Jaka-Jan," I think most of them would start singing the melody of the fanfare in the title role of the Hollywood movie 20th Century Fox.🤭Also, Japanese people in their 30s to 50s may remember "Jaka-Jaka-Janken" from the children's TV show "Ponkickies" that they watched as children, where you play rock-paper-scissors with an anime-like character named Connie-chan through the screen... I don't know though 😚
Also, if you're not a Japanese speaker, you should know that the lyrics of this song are the only ones in the Dragon Ball theme songs that are written in the kind of careless language that Goku uses, stereotypically for a child or an uneducated person.😁Example: "Bouken Suruzo (Let's go on an adventure)" → Goku "Bouken Suzzo"
