Dont forget that Freeza is an actual emperor who rules over hundreds of planets. Joining the Freeza Force is probably just like joining the military, and only the best ones become part of Freeza's personal crew. Theres probably thousands of goober ff members with double-digit power levels just patrolling the empire. Edit: I looked into it, and apparently, the Freeza Force has amazing benefits.
Apparently only in the anime does frieza kill his minions apparently he never does that in the manga so if we're manga then being part kf the frieza force has even better benefits

The chants during the Broly and Gogeta fight was inspired by how the spanish watch DBS in which during the final episode they were chanting during the final fight. Toriyama loved it so much he wanted it put in.
People always say piccolo is like Gohan real father but in fact there's only a 5 year difference in age between the two so piccolo is more like Gohan big brother.
I agree with you, I think people who say piccolo is gohans father either haven't seen any Dragon ball or aren't real fans/only watched dbza (which I love I'm not hating dbza) even they said they wish the dad jokes they did were less or completely taken out because people couldn't tell they were joking
@2ndlegend125 idk man...dude came down multiple times to help them. Lol Bojack movie, Father Son Kamehameha, Broly Second Coming, 24 hours in the Majin Buu saga Even when dead, he's still there.
You guys kinda clocked it, but what makes Broly so busted is that, for whatever reason, he lacks the Saiyan's "buffer time" for power ups. Most Saiyans need to heal from their battle damage before they receive a power up. Broly doesn't. His power just builds and builds in accordance with his anger and the damage he takes, creating a near endless feedback loop of power ups.
To make it simple, he's basically Dragon Ball's own Hulk. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually got some inspirations from American comics/Marvel coz their last movie basically used some superhero elements that we've already seen with Marvel films. _(Meanwhile, Moro in the manga is like their Galactus, since he eats a planet's energy, just like Galactus.)_
One detail that always destroys me about this movie: the dragon can't grant wishes against the will of someone affected, like not being able to bring Goku to earth after the Namek saga. So if Broly had wanted to stay and keep fighting, the wish wouldn't have worked. But it did! Which means, in that moment, after losing his only family, taken to an alien planet, hurt and facing down his possible death, Broly just wanted to go home.
Right before Gogeta's Kamehameha reaches him, if you look closely at Broly for a split second his pupils had returned to normal, meaning Gogeta knocked him around so badly he returned to his senses.
@@madgodbr6841that's not even close to correct. If that was the case then as soon as the technique hit then he would have gone back to his senses. The soul punisher destroys evil outright. Broly is soo popular of a character that not only did he have 3 original movies, became canon in this one, but he also has a variant in another universe. I don’t know why they made him so bad in Bio Broly though. Who’s idea was it to make him this gross Swamp Thing looking creature the entire times he’s on screen?! Who asked for that?!
To be fair, I think the fight with goten and trunks vs bio broly was great. It’s the only time in all of db that we see goten and trunks actually FIGHTING (a villian) and TOGETHER other than as gotenks and I think we needed more of that
It always bothered me that Bardock was the only Saiyan who tried to fend off Frieza’s attack. Sure they would’ve perished anyway but they should’ve still attempted to save their world. I can imagine if every Saiyan simultaneously shot a Ki blast, it could’ve at least pushed back 1st Form Frieza’s attack a little.
It was a fight or flight response. Since Bardock was the only one who suspected the betrayal, he was ready to fight. Everyone else was too much in shock to respond.
Assuming he knew how since this is younger Frieza. We dont know if he's capable of using final form or not at the age he was during the fight with Goku. @Dr.HooWho
This Broly is a huge improvement over the old one in my opinion. Sure the OG one was more cold and menacing, but this one felt more like a character to me and I never liked how the old one wanted to kill Goku over getting tramautized by a crying baby Goku. That’s a strange motivation for a villain to have to say the least.
I kinda Just went with the headcannon that OG Broly dont actually hate Goku for the crying, Its more like the crying is the only thing he Can clearly remember from the worst Day of his entire life (almost killed, his father almost killed, and planet destroyed) When he Heard Goku's Voice, hes taken back, he cant exactly remember what happened, but knows It was terrible, and subconsciously, he blames Kakkarot for that. (Just a headcannon)
yeah super's depiction did the actual character a lot better by having broly just become a feral sentient hydrogen bomb especially when transformed but he's not mindless until he loses control. while the original z was joyfully psychotic when transformed until they made him brain dead and goopy. backstory aside og broly could have worked better if the writers didn't make him obsessed with goku. just to pull a phrase from D&D make z broly a murder hobo and make him not care about anything that doesn't involve killing. just make him a murderous force of nature who really enjoys the destruction of worlds but don't make him brain dead.
I love the fact that they hinted at Vegeta's brother,Tarble still being alive because he is a canon character since he is mentioned in the manga, but he never showed up in a canon movie (he did show up in a movie, but it wasn't canon). Now all they need to do is make a canon Cooler movie with his fifth form and then another form.
One thing I never noticed was at 24:21, when he's going Blue, he turns white for a split second. Meaning he either was trying to go Ultra Instinct but settled for blue, or almost did it instinctively.
In reality he didn't really try to or instinctively go into UI. The animators just added that to make the transformations look cooler. Same thing with Vegeta getting flashes of green when he transformed.
@@flashback4019 You can't have your cake and eat it too if a dragon ball is about visual storytelling just as much as it's the dialogue and the flow fighting, if they showed him to visually won't tapping into it then that's that's part of the narrative and you can take it in, you can you can you can look at it and ignore it if you want to but I I see it as him trying to tap into the blue butt and also inadvertently tapping the instinct for a split second
The reason why you would get subtitles that don't match what's being said on screen, is because those subtitles are the direct translated for the Original Japanese Voice Acting. A lot of times now you'll get two different English subs. Ones for translation and the other for the English dub. The only issue is that they don't really differentiate between the two that well in terms of the section. That's why sometimes you see English English HD English 1.5 English 2.0 English Premium English HD Premium English Exclusive English HD Exclusive Etc etc. Typically the ones named "English" are the subs for the English dub, and the extended naming convention is the English subs for the original Japanese audio. Physical movies are good enough programmed that where you just need to switch to English Audio or Japanese Audio and it will give you the corresponding subtitles. Digital movies will just throw everything in there all at once and that weird naming convention happens with the subtitles.
That's why I usually prefer a Japanese dub with eng subs instead of an english dub. Sure I love to hear Sean and Chris' voices, but the translation accuracy at most times is off the scale.
You've probably already gotten multiple comments about the breathing in space thing, but to toss my own in there: Saiyans are, at best, able to breathe as long as they're still within the atmosphere of the planet. Any further than that, then they would require a ship or a spacesuit.

Frieza wanting to use the Dragon Balls to become taller is a callback to Commander Red, the vertically challenged leader of the Red Ribbon Army, who also wanted to use the wish of the Dragon Balls to become taller. He wasn't nearly as powerful as Frieza though, so his subordinate shot him in the head after finding out his wish.
Saiyans can’t breathe in space and would still need vehicles to travel thru space. In BOG (battle of gods) Goku fought beerus in the stratosphere which still has oxygen.
correct. The only footage of a saiyan outside of an atmosphere was Planet Arlia filler when Vegeta had orange armor lol. Apparently the asteroid Vegeta unlocked Super Saiyan on was large enough to have an atmosphere?
23:24 I mean the Freeza Force is essentially just a super corporation. And just like in other corporations, the people at the top and the people at the bottom vary wildly. Wal-Mart for example, you think the cashiers are on the same page as the board of directors and CEO? Probably not
I mean... it's really just the military wing of Freeza's empire. If you live under Freeza's rule and join the military, you're probably joining the Freeza Force.
@@2ndlegend125yeah but you can think of it as a mafia as well, where recluits can come because they want money, or they were threatened into by some sneaky debts or something. we kinda see this by frieza giving the saiyans new technology while being clear that he doesn't mean much by it.
In FighterZ, Ginyu mentions that members who do exceptionally well are gifted entire planets and in Xenoverse 2, Ginyu says that the Freeza Force even has maternity leave. Freeza may be evil, but at the end of the day the Freeza Force still runs like a business
Apparently, the composer got inspired by all of tose people getting exited during the Tournament of Power, chanting Goku's name, that he decided to do the same fo this movie...
They hit Broly with soul punisher, (which is supposed to instantly kill you if you’re not pure of heart) saw he was pure of heart and charged up a world ending kamehameha to take him out. Gogeta is a demon.
King Vegeta was way too hasty when it came to sending Broly away. When it comes to overthrowing Frieza later, ultimately it shouldn’t matter who does the deed and Broly would’ve been his best chance at doing that.
And then what? King Vegeta was 100% right about how dangerous Broly's power is. Paragus even recognised this. How would anyone be able to control Broly once he was unleashed? He got lucky in this movie by having friends to save him, and then having Goku and Whis help him control his power afterwards.
If the legend of the super saiyan was like it was for universe 6, then the legendary super saiyan would keep keep building power until it drove them into madness, causing them to keep attacking everyone around them, including friends, until they built up so much power that their bodies would self destruct. Someone like that is a massive liability, and hard to use strategically, since you never know what will set them off
He may have been hasty, and have a big head for wanting Vegeta IV to be the strongest child, but he was smart in sending him away, rather than trying to kill him
@goatzee69420 yes he does, it's close to half way through chapter 38, after Kale transforms for the first time, and knocks the fighters for universes 2, 3, 4 and 10 all out, then starts attacking her own allies

6:03 Nothing wrong with calling goku stupid. He didn't learn most things that taught in school until he was like 12 with master roshi. At best, he has a below average level of intellect. He just puts more focus into fighting which is where he shines. Edit: I guess saying that Goku's intellect is average has led some to think that I'm saying he's book smart, so I'll just change it to below average
A Note about Bardock, it was said by Vegeta in Saiyan Saga, that Bardock created the artificial moon skill, to help conquer other planets that didnt have any moon to turn into great ape... So yeah saying that 'Bardock is way smarter than his sons' makes sense LMAO. For a Low Class he was pretty smart/strong in his own way.
Love the juxtaposition between goku not loving the idea of fusion but realizing it needs to be done and vegeta outright hating fusion as a whole, to gogetas obvious enjoyment he gets out of just existing and fighting and smack talking.
Toriyama’s Broly is my favorite character of all Dragon Ball! His backstory was handled much better than the Z counterpart, imo. I like how he’s less of a villain and more of a gentle giant that could adapt in the heat of battle and tap into Oozaru/Great Ape feats of strength in his base form. On top of that, being able to reach incredible heights as a fully powered Super Saiyan.
Yeah and that whole "Oh nah, your super saiyan is just the normal one, not the legendary, no no THIS one is the legendary super saiyan" is some low tier Deviant Art Fanfic level writing. Everything about DBZ Broly was just so ass. DBS Broly is so much better in every way.
There is a semi-canon fusion between Goku and Z Broly called Karoly, it's an awesome design. Dragon Ball Fusion was a fun little game just because it's main gimmick was fusing characters. It had loads of different fusions, some wacky some awesome.
Fun fact the music when they are chanting gogeta and broly are a reference to Mexico during the tournament of power before this movie. People watched it all over even in the square of the city and started chanting goku’s name during it.
2:40 bro as you’re shouting about this perceived inconsistency they’re explaining that the room is for all babies expected to become elites, not just Vegeta
By far my most favorite Dragon Ball film on the block! I saw DBS Broly in theaters twice, way back in 2018 and it was very much hype watching it with a bunch of DB fans.
Broly wasn’t in base while fighting Goku. He was in a state called Ikari ,(Japanese for Rage), Ikari is when a Saiyan harnesses the power of the great ape in base form. It’s sort of like Kaioken but puts less stress on the body. Only downside, as you fight, it makes you more angrier and more savage. So you have to have an insane mental fortitude to control it.
If I recall Piccolo is in he teens or early 20's He aged up super fast in the early DragonBall series when he first fought Goku. When they fought against Radditz, he was about 8 or 9
Piccolo is older than Gohan who has been an adult for some time now. According to the Dragon Ball Wiki (which in general should be taken with a grain of salt, but for character ages should be accurate or at least close) at this point Gohan is 23 (physically 24) and Piccolo is 27 (physically 28) - the extra physical year coming from their training in the time chamber. I suppose if you also account for his accelerated early development it would add more than a decade to Piccolo's physical age. Although if Piccolo has accumulated the knowledge and experiences of Nail and Kami (which I think is hinted at but not made 100% clear) then you could argue he's, in a sense, well over three hundred years old! Then there's his reincarnation from King Piccolo in the first place, which isn't the same but in some way the essence of that original Piccolo lives on in him too. However you look at it, Piccolo is physically far younger than the actual sum of his character.
As terrible as Frieza is, for a boss he's honestly not the worst to work for. As long as you never step out of line, it's the safest job in the universe.
Pretty sure somewhere in a guide it was confirmed that Frieza force workers had free healthcare and paid time off as well as paid emergency leave, he doesn't keep slaves. Although not canon in Xenoverse 2 Ginyu mentions they get maternity leave and in FighterZ Ginyu mentions if you perform well you will receive your own planet for free. It's really a good job if you get past the mass murder part and the fact Frieza could kill you but you could always choose a position that isn't working directly with him since it's a GALACTIC EMPIRE after all and not just his ship.
@@alexandertelson3713 In Modern Dragon Ball he's much better honestly, I think there was a manga page where he's shown to be nice to his employees. He doesn't just kill them anymore, as long as you don't step out of line.
I think dying multiple times and getting his ass beat has actually softened his personality ever so slightly tbh. Obviously still not a good guy by any stretch of the imagination but I feel like the minions in Broly got off WAY easier for what they said and such than Tagoma did the Resurrection ‘F’ movie (or the soldiers when Mecha Frieza was a thing for that matter.)

37:15 no broly hated Goku because that's what America said. When an actuality in the Japanese version broly just wanted to fight Goku to prove he's stronger. But if you want to use the meme, let's look at it this way, was it all of Goku's crying that traumatized broly? Or was it getting stabbed with a 10-in blade as a baby, getting thrown in the garbage with his father and surviving a planetary explosion what traumatized him and all he can remember is Goku crying?
I thought the underlying reason behind that hatred was the fact that Kakarot was born on the same day as Broly. Kind of an opposites attract situation but Broly is like the Negative Kakarot, drawn to kill his opposite. Broly was born strong and silent, Kakarot was born weak and loud.
Shows how little you know about Saiyans they're literally made to remember The reason why they're sent out. Even if they're sent to a planet at a year old, they're made to survive and eventually conquer that planet. They have the ability to remember stuff At a ridiculously young age.@@fireflameztfs
Vegeta was definitely right to be concerned. Golden Frieza roughly was as strong as Goku or Vegeta in Blue form, but in Resurrection F they pointed out he didn't have the stamina to keep it up for long. But since he was able to survive an hour long fight with Broly in this film while still in the form when Gogeta appears shows that he has indeed been training quite intensely since we last saw him
The Bardock prologue part is in fact a manga one-shot called 'Dragon Ball Minus', it made Bardock more caring of his children and introduced Goku and Raditz's mother - Gine. It was criticized though, was very Superman-esque in origin and people were very used to the OG Bardock who didn't give a fuck and was more renegade. DB Minus was written by Toyotoro - the Super Manga's author - but the rest of the Broly plot is from Toriyama. Broly, Cheelai and Lemo didn't become regulars in the manga - so far - but they have made guest appearances, they may play a role when the manga resumes. Also the first time you see Vegeta go regular Super Saiyan God - the red one - he skipped it to Blue beforehand - as well as the redebut of Gogeta, and his failed forms, who debuted in a different movie. The subtitles are likely because the subs are translating from the Japanese and not the dubbing.
I'm so glad the transformations get the love they deserve in this movie. They actually feel like huge differences in power, not just hair changes like in Super.
Also to let you guys know Frieza's final form as its known is the form he was actually born as but he said he made those previous 3 forms because he could not control his power but as we see in the Frieza Saga he can easily control his power because when he fought Goku before Goku went Super Saiyan he was at 50% power so its obvious he lied about not being able to control his power and he also controls his power even better in Super.
The only reason being that he never trained in his whole life until he was resurrected before super. And pulled off the equivalent of supersaiyan in just months lmao
a theory that`s fun about z broly is that it`s not only that goku crying annoyed him,its also that it happened right before he had a dagger plunged into his chest and then had to escape the exploding planet, had to keep moving afterwards and because of all that the memory became a sort of trigger.
I will say people acting like Goku is actually as dumb as the abridged version can get pretty annoyimg but people do react too strongly in defense. Like I get being annoyed by it but also it is a joke. And during fights he's always pretty smart. He's a fighting genius.
@@AL7249 Eh, I think people over exaggerate it for super. They did lean into it more, but Super had Smart goku moments like when he restarted his heart with a strategic ki blast.

32:19 Important to note what that attack was Gogeta used. In Fusion Reborn, it's called the Stardust Breaker, but here it's known as the Soul Punisher. Both versions of the attack work the same way, however: It's implied that the more evil there is within the opponent, the deadlier it is. Since Broly survived the attack, relatively unscathed, there wasn't enough evil (or maybe even any evil at all) in him to do damage.
The other way around. It was called Soul Punisher in Fusion Reborn. Here it's called Stardust Breaker to fit in with Stardust Fall, Meteor Explosion, etc.

Saiyans don’t breathe in Space thats why they use the pod ships but they can fly in it. This retelling of Goku’s origins makes it look more in line by the Superman origin. Kinda wild to me Goku was gild tripping Vegeta with the loss of his family when he was ok with the gamble of his own and everyones existence in the tournament of power for the thrill of a possible unwindable fight even if they could wish it back. Even still I love this idiot.
Really glad your doing all of these DB movies. I'd be cool to see a video of Sean's DBZ journey as well. Hopefully we can get Super and Daima on the channel one day!
Also Frieza is scary as hell when you really look at this movie. Think about it. In his Golden form he held off Broly for an hour while Goku and Vegeta had to flee while in Blue. And even while beaten down after the hour he was still in his Golden form and was still capable of fighting even if Broly didn't switch targets to Whis. That means he's stronger than both Goku and Vegeta right now. And if he stayed for just another minute or two Gogeta would have defused and then they would be screwed.
If you read the Manga Frieza trained in a hyperbolic time chamber for 10 years straight and came back with a new form and one shot True Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta at the height of their power both at once, he also killed the main villain of the arc in one hit as well. He left them alive of course so it's suffice to say Frieza just doesn't care about killing them anymore.

3:10 that would have been an amazing twist... This whole time Vegeta was so strong because he was the legendary Super Saiyan... and the real prince got stronger than him by being exiled to a dangerous planet with paragus. Would have explained why he was able to surpass Goku just getting ''My Bulma'd"
Broly's gimmick is he's the personification of untapped potential. He gets stronger, not after every battle survival like normal saiyans, but as he fights. He gets stronger exponentially. That's what make him so dangerous.
One interesting thing to mention is the sparkly attack they throw at broly near the end purges evil and can never fail. This means since it did nothing there is no evil anywhere in broly's heart
@wingedbluj1674 right. It was a sign of respect and honoring their brotherhood as Saiyans. Also kind of showing/reminding Broly of the fact that he (Broly) is still a Saiyan even though he was raised as an isolated & stranded animal with no culture. The games have established that Frieza Force has ridicilously good benefits. If you don't mind working for a genocidal tyrant and manage to avoid screwing up so badly your superior just offs you on the spot, it is honestly not a bad gig.
I adore the "Call me Kakarot." Goku doesn't always care about his Saiyan origins. It's nice when he acknowledges them.
It gets complicated with reincarnation.
I agree with you, I think people who say piccolo is gohans father either haven't seen any Dragon ball or aren't real fans/only watched dbza (which I love I'm not hating dbza) even they said they wish the dad jokes they did were less or completely taken out because people couldn't tell they were joking

@@ZephyrXBL Sadly, I don't count the movies.
Spoiler:
.
It's like Vegeta's Ultra Ego form
The more damage he takes the more powerful he gets
You also gotta point out that if his power grows too much he will destroy himself
To make it simple, he's basically Dragon Ball's own Hulk. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually got some inspirations from American comics/Marvel coz their last movie basically used some superhero elements that we've already seen with Marvel films.

They shoulda all turned ape and attacked Frieza's ship. Millions of apes with power levels of 10,000-100,000.

This Broly is a huge improvement over the old one in my opinion. That’s a strange motivation for a villain to have to say the least.
As far as blending in the original lore and making something new, this film did a fantastic job with it's story
I kinda Just went with the headcannon that OG Broly dont actually hate Goku for the crying, Its more like the crying is the only thing he Can clearly remember from the worst Day of his entire life (almost killed, his father almost killed, and planet destroyed)
When he Heard Goku's Voice, hes taken back, he cant exactly remember what happened, but knows It was terrible, and subconsciously, he blames Kakkarot for that.

That's why sometimes you see
English
English HD
English 1.5
English 2.0
English Premium
English HD Premium
English Exclusive
English HD Exclusive
Etc etc.
The discrepancy was throwing me in this reaction.

2:40 bro as you’re shouting about this perceived inconsistency they’re explaining that the room is for all babies expected to become elites, not just Vegeta

22:29 Judo is what you're looking for there. Also Ippon Seoi nage is the technique used in that moment

If I recall Piccolo is in he teens or early 20's
He aged up super fast in the early DragonBall series when he first fought Goku.

The only reason being that he never trained in his whole life until he was resurrected before super.

a theory that`s fun about z broly is that it`s not only that goku crying annoyed him,its also that it happened right before he had a dagger plunged into his chest and then had to escape the exploding planet, had to keep moving afterwards and because of all that the memory became a sort of trigger.

@TecTitan my brother in christ, did you not understand what he said after? He knows what kissing is, but he didn't understand CPR.
12:28 funny thing is this isn't the first time a villain wanted to use the dragon balls to increase their height, one of the villains in original Dragon Ball planned to have that be their wish
That isn't implied anywhere fans just assumed so because of the name but the attack is just a rainbow ki blast
That call back at the end to DBZ broly, “broly, call me kakarot” always gets me…..
The difference is that Vegeta's actually smarter than Goku, so he gets to call him an idiot. :P
The martial art you were looking for is "judo" a throw based martial art that utilizes the opponent's weight and force for additional leverage.
22:50 (Judo)
Yup, was gonna say the same thing 😂
When you use your opponent's momentum against them is Akido. Bomb ass movie though. My daughter and I were on the edge of our seats during the fight scene. Huge DB Fans! Also, great video, you have a new sub here!!!
19:06 Super Saiyan has confirmed multiplier of 50x, so yeah, it just gives em a little boost
No
@@supesisfodder7427 Yes? It was confirmed by Toriyama numerous times that regular super saiyan is a 50x multiplier, with SSJ2 being 100x and SSJ3 being 400x.
@@conscripthornet4430 nope toriyama never said that
Grade 1 ssj was said to be 50x by a false guide way after the show so not 50x
They use mssj ever since the cell arc anyways tho which
Mssj > grade 1 ssj
@supesisfodder7427 Yes, he did. MSSJ is literally just grade 1 SSJ without the ki drain which was literally stated verbatim in the cell saga...
Also “MSSJ > SSJ Grade 1”? According to who? You? Cite an actual source please.
Seeing this in movie theatres was the peak. We all cheered so many times.
"Platinum Frieza! Sapphire Frieza!"
⚫👀
This movie was fun to watch in Theaters. If you grew up watching the "Rock the Dragon" Days of DBZ then this brought you back to these days.
Wrong goku fought beerus in space
i love that frieza’s voice line is along the lines of a “i can survive in the vacuum of space; can you?!” in db:SZ
I got to say I like this backstory of broly instead of the other one
Really glad your doing all of these DB movies. I'd be cool to see a video of Sean's DBZ journey as well.
Hopefully we can get Super and Daima on the channel one day!
4:46 they can fly in space BUT it's way slower and they still can't breathe so there is no point they might as well use a ship but other species can
Nope faster
The god transformation they need to be calm so that’s why you see them more calm in that form while super Saiyan is anger/emotion
@conscripthornet4430 shut up. Your not supposed to spoil that sort of thing with all these eyes reading when I was at least being subtle
@conscripthornet4430 your not supposed to spoil that sort of thing. Be better. Choose subtlety like I did
@clasher138 Dude it’s in every other comment, it’s one of the most talked about topics in dragonball currently also there is literally no “rule” against it.
@@conscripthornet4430 but these guys don't know what's going on in the manga. How is it fair to spoil something like that for them? Just because everyone else may do it doesn't make it right
I really liked the way the animators and fight choreographers threw in a bunch of the iconic moves and shots from the previous non-canon Broly and Gogeta movies. Felt like a fun homage.
How can the scouters tell if people are armed? Do guns have their own power levels? 🤔
I'd assume it's like batman's detective vision picking up on body signatures and weapons
Yes. Scouters scan weapons, too. If you have a shotgun, you have a higher power level. If you drop the gun, your power level lowers.
I'll never get over the animation quality of this film.
The story has a mix of great and pretty terrible, but overall this is one of the best DB movies.
Gohan got his smarts from Grandpa Bardock and his mother's diligence.
No, he got it by being book smart and his mother raising him.
@@lordkai59 Surely you jest...
You wouldn't dare insult Bardock... The Scientist!
It’s cool seeing a first time reaction of the Bardock story with this animation level like even the POV of friza’s scouter drop is so amazing as an added scene glad this was there first intro to this epic backstory
24:24
Here, people thought goku was going MUI
But my headcanon is that they mixed the colors(red, blue, and green)
And that makes gray/silver
So i think it was just a stylistic choice. Not MUI.
Your headcanon is factual my boy. They were creative as hell with the transformations which is why vegeta was green for second lol
Not head canon it's true they legit said themselves years ago they was messing with different color palletes
Whis dodging instant transmission is fucking insane
3:10 that would have been an amazing twist...
This whole time Vegeta was so strong because he was the legendary Super Saiyan... and the real prince got stronger than him by being exiled to a dangerous planet with paragus.
Would have explained why he was able to surpass Goku just getting ''My Bulma'd"
Broly's gimmick is he's the personification of untapped potential. He gets stronger, not after every battle survival like normal saiyans, but as he fights. He gets stronger exponentially. That's what make him so dangerous.
Damn abridged really took over their perspective
They say after Goku is called a moron multiple times in this canon movie
@kadooga wait so they only watched the abridged ?
Your an idiot. Goku is actually dumb asf it’s part of his character.
One interesting thing to mention is the sparkly attack they throw at broly near the end purges evil and can never fail. This means since it did nothing there is no evil anywhere in broly's heart
29:33 pretty sure its canon when they mess up fusion dance you get the failures
"Platinum Frieza" **LOOKS AT MANGA**
Let’s be honest. That last line of Goku, “Call me Kakarot.” was pure fanservice paying homage to OG Broly. It’s kinda weird line for Goku to say
Goku only lets pure blood Saiyans call him Kakarot.
@@wingedbluj1674No, he only let Vegeta call him that
@@MonsterGul it's almost like vegeta is the only other pure blooded saiyan but nah that'd be crazy
@@MonsterGul Because Vegeta was the only other pure blooded Saiyan before Broly came along lol
@wingedbluj1674 right. It was a sign of respect and honoring their brotherhood as Saiyans. Also kind of showing/reminding Broly of the fact that he (Broly) is still a Saiyan even though he was raised as an isolated & stranded animal with no culture.
(All that as well as being a nod to the old Broly.)
