Rick the Bivy seems a better option than the Zoleo. Wish Garmin would get onboard. I have TMobile with an old Sprint tower. Hope that satellite help is soon to be on our phones out here in the middle of nothingness. Very helpful videos. Thanks Rick!
@@outdooremergencytech it is mostly for my house when our cell tower goes out which is becoming more and more frequent these days. Both have a dedicated phone number and email. I do like to travel and do day hikes but mostly would use for vehicle breakdowns as well when i cannot get a cell tower signal.

Glad to help and I like the ACR Bivy Stick better, but the ZOLEO is better if you're only interested in communication.

Sorry about the delayed response. I would go with the ZOLEO or the Garmin Messenger if you primarily want a back up for communication.
