dokyuusei is my ultimate fav bl movie fr😭
The movies with a deeper romantic story are gonna be higher on my list, but that's because I prefer the stories where the main couple fall in love through a deep conntection. But I agree that people should be allowed to like what BL they like, no matter what.

Dakaichi is hilarious and amazing
I was actually quite surprised to see Umibe no étranger at no. 5.... I mean this anime has always been my no. 1 even though most people would place doukyuusei at their no. 1. I mean, I can understand that they are nostalgic about it... But for me Umibe no étranger is the best, maybe coz it hits home.... I can correlate so much with Shun's internalised homophobia....
Anyway, can we all agree that it would be the best to have 'ten years I loved you the most' as a full length movie or an anime series.....
I would definitely place Dokyuusei as my number one and Umibe no Étrange second, I was really surprised they ranked it so low :0
This channel and community is where I feel relaxed to think about my guilty taste of anime and manga and do not feel the shame 😌

Omg the soundtrack for When Crows Fly, Josh's #1, is too good, it makes me cry. It's how i learned about the movie and did backflips when i found out they did the ending for Cherry Magic live action and movie! Omoinotake has such a special place in my heart.
Also my #1 is Doukyuusei. My first BL movie, i rewatched it right after i watched it the first time.

Im spanish and i watched dakaretai in Spain. The pronunciation is not only not accurate. They didnt even hire spanish speakers from any spanish speaking country at all. It sounds like japanese people imitating anglosaxon people imitating spanish without having ever spoken it. It is really really awkward, to the point of discouraging any Spanish speaking person to watch it. It was such a pity. I was really looking forward to watch the spanish (of course Andalusian) settings and the andalusian accent. I was deeply disappointed.

Spaniard here! I have watched the Dakaichi Spain-hen movie and it's obvious to any native Spanish speaker that the voice actors are not native. That being said, Japanese people are much better at Spanish pronunciation than at Engrish. Spanish and Japanese are surprising similar pronunciation-wise. Sometimes it's cringingly terrible but several words and sentences were spot on. All in all, it was OK. I wish they had collaborated with Spanish voice actors for those scenes, but I often found myself laughing out loud at the dub so it was an overall enjoyable experience.

Yes OF COURSE!!! ❤ The clouds gather is also my #1 BL anime ....and manga tbh. This story and this characters just strike something deep in my heart.
I didn't know people complained about the explicit scenes - I was so glad they made it into the anime! Most BL adaptation get a censored so much, it's hardly a BL in the end (looking at you: dramatical murder 😒) and in the case of "twittering birds never fly ", it would not be the same story without these elements. It's a very depressing setting, that's what makes the feelings of the characters shine even more.
And the video clip for the amazing soundtrack deserves a speacial praise 👏. It's so beautiful and fitting, I cried my eyes out.
Maybe some bl fans didn't enjoy it but I'm sure fans of the manga series loved the anime adaptation, because it did it justice. I was a bit afraid of what they could do to the original story...but was very very pleased after watching it.
It had the same story and the same vibe - all in all a great adaptation!

Yes No Maybe’s story wasn’t finished, you have to read the novel to get the whole story and it’s good! I’ve been waiting forever for Ten Count but I wonder how well they’ll do cause it’s quite explicit.

I think most of the "puritans" who criticize toxic relationships are mostly male. They can relate to the character's experiences more and thus get more disgusted/unnerved. The female viewers on the other hand relate a lot less to the male characters.
Speaking from personal experience with watching yaoi content as a gay guy, some of these scenarios are literally the stuff of nightmares.
Also, the bottomphobia is real as hell in yaoi. (half joking) (why they gotta be treated like children all the time) (why are they always the victim in the toxic relationships) (i never seen a scene where the bottom actually succeeds in resisting) (why are they always straight guys until they see the ml or are forced by ml) (why are they always so reluctant and shy) (why are they always portrayed as the "inferior" in the relationship) (I NEED MY POWERBOTTOMS! I NEED THEM NOW!!!!)
Thankfully, there's a some BL out there that are healthy relationships that still have some spicy drama , but I still don't like the fact that they're the outliers in this industry. I think it stems from the fact that most of the customers of BL are female, but it is what it is. These are just pet peeves of mine, and I'm grateful to have the grill bosses uphold this industry.

Umibe no etranger is no1 for me, it wasn't when i only watched the movie but when i read the whole manga till vol6 omgg i love it!
The truth is that I don't watch many BL movies, mainly because they tend to place a lot of toxic relationships romanticized to the extreme, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is an example of this (because yes, all the couples in this anime/manga are toxic), movies that if I liked them, they are few, like Umibe no Etranger

Something about doukyuusei that annoys me is how normal it is for the teacher to flirt with the students in both the manga and the movie. Maybe its just a culture shock for me but its just something that puts me off from it but overall its good

Umibe no etranger might be the only one whose anime is much better than the manga.
I would consider Kaze to Ki no Uta Sanctus: Sei Naru Kana to be a movie, even though it's categorized as an OVA and I'm assuming it was never shown in theaters. It's 59 minutes long, it's gorgeously animated (if you can get into the art style) and the story is very twisted and dark and weird. I'd put it at #3 in my list, after Saezuru #1, and Yokozawa/Kirishima #2, with Given #4, then Doukyuusei, Umibe, Yes ka, Sekaiichi Propose-hen (almost last, because it was a choppy mess on top of being too short and disappointing plot-wise, just sad fan-baiting), and Dakaichi because of everything being poorly done aside from the VAs being good. Where is Saezuru #2 and #3? I need them!

After watching this video, I zoomed to Bilibili to watch yes ka no ka hunban ka, I didn't know abt it n was searching for bl movie or anything bl to watch, I am desperate OK n I fricking loved it was not expecting 15+ content 😅 but overall it's Gd, I have a different take on this I liked how they showed only sences abt them n world they only see, like they leave in their world n have same yet different struggles n don't want the world to see that venerable parts of them, like its them n outside world, how they change their personality mainly the uke to fit in that world like how seme work showed the alien is in spaceship separate people from earth it's abt his n his friends feelings.
