Roland Fantom 06 EDM Dance music - Live Jam with MPC AKAI LIVE 2 - Ocean Waves Dance

- Here is one of my EDM loops that made into some kind of a song called Ocean Waves Dance and created on MPC Live II with the help of Roland Fantom 06. Mixed down using SSL SIX and SSL2 with 4K engaged overloaded for saturation on input. Minimal post production for audio - HP filter, De-Esser and Limiter.

The visuals are a nice touch when presenting the music.

Great jam and nice video shots! Curious how you find the setup with the MPC and Fantom together? Used to have both an FA06 and iPad but found they overlapped a lot, now I only use an iPad and and a controller. Do you have different uses for them?
Thank you for your comment. I find it truly interesting and spot on. I will be making video shortly about just that but in short - I have never looked at products like MPCs (until around 4 weeks ago). I always used work with synth like Yamaha Motif, Korg Karma etc... and recently upgraded to Roland Fantom 06 that I really liked... but since buying MPC I am not that sure (at least for now) there is a need for Fantom.... I need more time to understand. As you have correctly mentioned - these overlap in a lot of different areas.... Thank you for watching!!!
Sounds a little more than amateur to me. Nice stuff. How would you say the new MPC synth plugins are compared to the Fantom 06 synths?
I have the Fantom 06 myself, but I was thinking if I should return it and just get the MPC synth plugins bundle for a couple hundred dollars? Have you heard or used the MPC synth plugins by any chance? I can't make up my mind? Thanks...SBN NataN 🌗
Thank you for your comment. To answer your question - I am considering selling Roland despite me liking it a lot. These two cross over each other in som many areas. The thing that I like about MPC is that it is battery powered and with speaker - hence mobile. Roland is great too and I have not made my mind yet about selling it but I play MPC a lot more. If you watch my video about 'Better than MODX..." you will learn my thoughts on that. Also, there is another video "AKAI MPC sounds - HYPE...' - that will provide you with the sounds for one of the engines for MPC. Please note that you can only have 8 synth tracks at the same time (but as many suggest you could bounce one of a few to AUDIO tracks - you could have way more that way). I hope this helps. Thanks
Does Fantom 06 have sidechain ?. I like that you have a simple but very efficient setting .
Thank you for the question - unfortunately not - I do miss it after the MODX since to achieve side compression I have to come up with various ideas and I have not been able to find simple yet effective solution yet... Thanks for watching!!!
thanks Maybe you need the sidechain inside your pc in order to route the audio tracks thru some kind of fx if the sound card supports . Maybe you will do a video in the future if you find the simple sollution .@@amateurmusicstudio
