I mute people when they emote more than a couple times typically. Emotes from a player in the 1v1 are particularly useless since there's nothing left to be negotiated, I'm trying to kill him and he's trying to kill me.
Great vid as always - the twists and turns of Risk! When he first rolled blues cap at 19:45 I thought it was a bit too much and i think it was defs not the play in hindsight. But great stuff to claw it back from black targetting the hell out of him, can't believe the Scandi-Russia border held for blue for that long
Yes the game would be so different without the black bot getting strong. I was surprised Pete let it was Asia right next to Cap, perhaps if Pete had gone in there and just stacked on the Spain cap until blue came down and cane up through Russia blue would have had up look backwards over his shoulder and hardly got into Spain at all. Blue was very fast and agressive though, the clock sure was tovkimg on this one. But perhaps waiting a few more turns would have helped after taking Asia and simply reinforcing and building up a very strong army. After all who was attacking you ? Not black until it had 3 times as many troops on one territory, plus 20 more on the other one - woe do lucky to hold for so long. Then of course as you had committed to blue black wax to strong to stop.
Love how you and blue was fighting each other so hard with a massive bot eating the whole board. It was like a big hole swollowing everything and you 2 fighting desperatly to be the last man standing. Correct play and very dramtic, gg man!
Great game Pete! I was just playing world domination progressive games when I first started RGD but watching your meta settings videos had me trying this mode out. I finally won my first game today and it was with a meme Sevastopol capital. I had a noob corner god spawn but I didn't want to put my capital in there so I hid it away. Took the noob corner and Scandi and just chilled out while the other players battled it out then took my opportunities when I saw them. Of course I upgraded to a better cap in the late game but it definitely took a couple players by surprise when a big army just came flying out of the Black Sea.

I feel like when I watch kylted’s videos he looks at the board position at 22:45 and says “okay what happens here? Black bot gets like 30 troops, has 3 cards, could be a set, 30+40 all on this 10 makes like, 80? I need like at least a 45-50 cap here so it doesn’t roll greece? blue gets hit by the bot and doesn’t have enough troops to roll me because I’m still getting more?”And while I used to see his play as overthinking and a bit too passive, I’m starting to wonder if that line of play would’ve been more “correct” than full attrition blue and basically leaving it to chance, even if the chances are really good? I know you hear nonsense critiques about your gameplay all the time, but I’m curious if you’d just as quickly brush off the idea of playing a bit more defensively as you did at 27:31 a second time? Thoughts on this? I’d also be curious if you showed him/described the situation up to that point if he’d say the same thing I am here
I'm a lot more impulsive than Kyle. It comes down mostly to the different way we process numbers. I tend to work on intuition a lot and things usually work out unless I make some silly mechanical error or get unlucky (I'm a very lucky guy). In this particular scenario that dude was getting slammed as soon as he started antagonizing me with emotes. He could have gotten second but Im a psycho and I had to make him die.
The one thing I will say about caps vs some other versions, is that if you get screwed at the start you can cap stack your way out of it. So it gives options to play if you don't secure a bonus early.

It's a fair point. Classic fixed for a final when everyone is playing to win definitely stalemates. Classic fixed in the first round with bounty points and a wide skill differential tends to play quite explosively
