Living in a college dorm, people are still drinking and meeting up with friends, but they’re doing it in secret, exactly like Swingers met up in Speak Easys during the Prohibition era 1920s. “We’ve got music, we’ve got booze, and we’ve got plenty of friends. So, let’s party like it’s 1920 again (without the cops knowing)”
Actualy they did. They had booze but they called it coffee so they would not get in any trouble and they dressed just like how they described it. And "mansion partys" can possibly be speak easy partys.

You should be happy it isn't trending or mainstream because the things that do tend to turn into shit. Putting out more electro swing at a faster rate will cause song quality to plummet to fulfill demand. Be careful what yo wish for.
