I bought this watch two weeks ago and mine is running +1 second a day.Its more accurate than my COSC certified Omega Planet Ocean which is crazy. Very happy with it and now my favourite seiko in my collection. Going to do a little video of it soon.
Sold my dad's old Rolex from 1958 today and went into the Seiko store and bought this exact watch. Nice to come home to UA-cam and see others like my new watch; so you get a thumbs up of course 😄
@@jamesgregory2918 Yeah, it wasn't nice, had an ugly non-original bracelet and wasn't running well so ... I would never have worn it even if it did and saw no point in leaving it in a drawer. PS: I am wearing it now, but I must say I am disappointed with the lack of accuracy of the Seiko Presage.

So difficult to choose colour with this one. I love the black, blue, white and the limited edition... Have to try them on in person first... This may have convinced me for the white... Georgeous watch. Great video!

It's my first more expensive watch and what strikes me is that it really is pretty scratch resistant. I've got it a few months, bumped it a couple of times and still no major problems. I love the watch. Saw it in person in blue again. That one also is very nice. The white is more understated, less glossy but I like it a lot.
In that colour it reminds me of those pressed thin metal white ceiling panels I've seen in old working class homes that have lost their whiteness from being stained by cigarette smoke. The only version of this watch face that looks upmarket IMO is the blood red model which is far better looking than their Seiko Sharp Edge 'Kabuki' Limited Edition SPB33J1 watch with its black case. The Blood Moon bracelet (same as the one shown in your video above) looks almost identical to the titanium bracelet fitted to the Grand Seiko SBGA211 spring drive Heritage Collection.
Very good review. The white dial is awesome. I have the green one. Have to see it play with the bright light to appreciate. It resembles the GS Peacock which l also have. The sharp edges resemble that of GS. Very good overall finishing too.
I do like this new white dial Presage sharp edge, but I also have a SARX055 filling the white dial dress/sports niche in my collection :( I hope they bring out more dial textures and colours with this sharp edge case. Imagining a cocktail time style dial (Grand Cocktail reissue when Seiko!) with this case, yes please.
For me, one of the nicest seikos I've seen. Like the textured dial, and the bracelet and the dimensions are ideal. But the part I like the most are those hands. Looking forward to the vid with the other color variants.

I got a Seiko sharp edged SARX075 from Japan last week. Isn't that the same as the SBB165? It was supposed to be a white face according to many videos I've seen including yours. Mine came and it seems to be silver, not white. Any information would be extremely helpful! I can provide photos as well. I really appreciate it! Feel like maybe I got a fake as I'm not seeing any official information on a more silver looking face. I tried to reach Seiko but USA won't help and I'm having a hard time contacting Seiko Japan. Thanks in advance!
my SARX069 has that same clasp, it is indeed very comfortable and out of the way, however my watch didn't come with half links so it is a pain to get a perfect size, that shouldn't be an issue with this model
@@EscapementWatch I essentially just had to decide between much too loose, or a little too tight, again it is not the same bracelet only the same clasp, an extra hole on the micro adjust would solve it, and would only make the clasp slightly longer, but its not a huge deal, still really love the watch and it is very comfortable to wear
think that $ 900 is very expensive, the previous model for 6r15 045 is no worse and is still on sale at a price of $ 550, I think taking into account the fact that here 6r35 you can pay $ 600-650. More expensive is Seiko's desire , and the buyer will put everything in its place.
I wonder if you have handled Chanel J12 before. How does the bracelet compare to the sharp edge? And is their J12 white whiter than this (dial for dial)?

I have a couple of this too. It's 36.5mm in diameter with a 33mm dial. Incredible watch presence for a small watch.

The dials on these series are beautiful. I figure the extra finishing is expressed in the cost. But yes almost looks grand seikoesque.
