Just the best line ever....."sometimes I don't thrill you, sometimes I think I'll kill you but just don't let me fuck up will you, cause when I need a friend, it's still you".
Yeah, outstanding. Every lyric in this song is dope tho: "The weirdness flows between us Anyone can tell to see us Freak scene just can't believe us Why can't it just be cool and free us?"
I love how this song is basically a love/hate letter from one band member to another. The message: no matter how much you may think you've grown to hate an old friend, most of the time the relationship is worth salvaging... especially if you create awesome music like this together.
Yes. 2009 in Fort Collins (The Aggie) was staggeringly loud. I had good ear plugs, and man did I need it. I love this band. Love them. However, the volume was ridiculous. I saw J solo and acoustic and it was the loudest one man/one guitar show I've ever heard -- right at the edge of sanity.
We saw them live for the 1st time 10/2/22 Columbus, OH. I feel like it was the best live rock show I've ever been to, so loud and awesome energy. I brought my wife and 11 y.o. daughter to her first concert ever so that's a forever memory for us. Hopefully I'll get to see them play live again and hear and learn more of their music as well. They've definitely earned a spot in my favorite bands of all time.
Dinosaur Jr were constantly being raved about in the British music press (Melody Maker, NME) back in the 80s.That's where I got to hear about them and bought their first SST album, You're Living All Over Me, on the strength of the reviews they were getting. I really liked that album and definitely think it's their best.

The fact that this band had written and recorded this song, plus shooting this acid trip of a music video, completely drug and alcohol free astonishes me. I'm sober and will continue to be, but my mind cannot be this fucked while nothing is going through me. By I mean "fucked", I mean disturbingly fascinating and maybe orgasmic.
