    - I just want to say that these guys are my favourite UA-camrs and they have inspired me to start my UA-cam journey. I look up to them, and I believe that what they do is great.
    In this journey, I will take you the roller coaster that these guys might feel when rebuilding a crash damaged car. All I can say is, the journey is not easy.

    Whilst it is true that companies are more likely to help out “bigger youtubers” for the exposure we all had to start somewhere. It’s not like I started with tons of money and connections. I started on the driveway I didn’t even have any shelter. So it is possible you just have to really want it, think outside the box, put hours in no one else will, and be willing to sacrifice a lot. 🙏 good luck to you bro ❤

      Your success is truly motivating and I’ve been watching you since you had 11k subs; in fact you were the one who inspired me to be a UA-camr. Keep pushing mate and I hope you’re all well after the crash! God speed 💪🏽 ❤️

    I think one thing to always show people is the struggle. Rebuilding cars isnt easy - it takes professional shops a lot of time so if an amateur in a garage by himself is trying it, give yourself a ton of time. I agree with Mat, we all start with nothing, but the important thing is learning as much as you can and sharing that with people. Good luck dude!

      lol, that's because he doesn't have the talent of the other UA-camrs. He buys a non running car and is then disappointed when it doesn't run. He'll delete the error codes, service it, pump the tyres up and then abandon it in the field when that doesn't make the car work. However, he is entertaining which is why people watch car UA-camrs.

  • @PhoenixBlaze123
    @PhoenixBlaze123 5 місяців тому +19

    They have a big team behind them and everything they need, connections too. Things happen faster. They're obviously not going to show all the hours they spend getting things removed/added etc. They'll just show progress. This is just the same for every single field. Same thing happens in programming, takes days to create something proper. Still, it's amazing to work on your own car, although it takes ages when you're alone and don't have access to tools (and not a mechanic), but the end result is amazing!

    Ive seen multiple interviews with Mat where he said the builds dont make a profit (when you allow for all the hours worked), he only carried on doing it because of the UA-cam money. So yeah, rebuilding cars isnt all its cracked up to be and even trying to break in to youtube is becoming oversaturated.

  • @nomisnagol1423
    @nomisnagol1423 4 місяці тому

    Great channel. You made great comments about rebuilds not being as easy as they seem and that costs can quickly spiral so that the vehicle rebuild ends up costing you money and not making you money. With that in mind why are you "modding" the car ? This will devalue it even more by severly restricting the people that will want to purchase it when you decide to get rid of it. I know "trick" bits and mods are fun but you should make you subscribers aware of this too.

  • @steveng5503

    I rate salvage nation, saving salvage, and SRUK. Can’t stand the “giveaways” because I don’t agree with gambling but that’s my problem not theirs. Those 3 are at least very transparent and don’t glamorise it like others do. It’s not feasible for the average person to do anything other than panel damaged cat N, and even then you’ll have to get help at times. I do it for a living have done since before it was popular on social media but even now I still learn new things every day from channels like yours. I like that you’re an educational channel and I rate your work ethic mate, only a matter of time till this channel blows to a point you’ll be earning a nice salary from it, which will be much deserved after all the work you put into it, whilst running a business and whatever else you have going on!

    I bought my 1st rebuild from Copart 2007 Mercedes SL500 in 2014. Hit in the front and rear. I did all the body repairs I could do alone, learning as I went. The major part was the rear, which I didn't have a pulley to pull the wheel well tub out to get the trunk lid to close. Total cost; Car $5200, rear support brace $150, pulling the tub, paint front/rear bumper, lid spoiler, buff polish car $2200, muffler repair $150, $2500 + $400 powder coating 20x9, 20x11 Savini wheels with Pirelli tires. Kept it and enjoyed it for 3.5yrs and sold it for $10k. Not bad for my 1st build. 2nd build was a 2014 SL550 with front end damage repaired and still have today.

    Going back a few years, I had a ford sierra 20l automatic, but not one panel matched in colour. I was able to buy a lovely condition sierra 1.6l manual but the engine was dead. Me and my brother swapped the complete running gear over in between work and we did it at work because of the use of a fork lift so that helped loads, we started on the Tuesday and by Thursday is was done so I took to a mot to get a kind of mot thing because of the swap. But we stripped all the spares on a pallet and dumped the old chassis in a work roll on of bin. Because of our work that had loads and fixings etc so we didn’t need to buy anything. So easy but obviously, you and most people know a ford is a lot easier than a bmw, which I worked on my 5 series a while after. It was as easy as swapping batteries in a remote as same frame work and we did not have to buy a thing. lol great work Marv, love your videos 👍🏎️

    I'm having my mx5 restored for £4000 at the same place as Alex and Matt, both of which have not had to pay a penny becuase they are influencers and their cars will have a way better finish too. I've seen my car in the background of some videos being heavily neglected, things like leaving a door open for no reason when another car is having all it's filler cut out ruining my interior. People like this get soooo many benefits when it comes to building cars while the rest of us get a rotten deal in comparison. It becomes so unrealistic for others to mimmic unless they are a millionaire and even then they won't have all the connections like these youtubers have.

      100% bro and you are spot on with this video like always. I've built my mx5 90% myself (will be boosted and forged eventually) and halfway through a euro 3 diesel V70 project with carbed up leaky injectors as well so I know too well how easy these guys have it with sponsors and how unrealistic they make things look. "Big shout out to BC racing for the free coilovers go and check them out" 🤣🤣 People also assume that you don't know anything and mess you about like you've proved in your other videos. Main reason why as do as much work as I can myself everyone's such a rip off bro

    The problem is they are content creators who make money from their channell. You are a working mechanic who has to fix cars for your day job and probably quite reluctant to work on your own car after doing two clutches in one day.
    Their to-do list that day when they wake up is to go up and fix their own car. I'd be loving life if that's all I had to do.

    • @richardhume2811
      @richardhume2811 5 місяців тому

      @@themarvelousvlog Surely no one thinks that any of this is easy. All the big UA-camrs started off on simple builds as "normal people" and things gradually developed. Lockdown gave all those that were in a position to capitalise a massive audience which has given them enough revenue to fund the more exotic stuff and take on help. It turned from a hobby to a full time entertainment business. These people had ambition and made this happen. It must have it's own stresses which I believe Tavarish has talked about. You just keep doing you and don't worry about anyone else was the best advise I was given🙂.
