I agree Frank, Fred will bring playmaking and Iq , and we know sengun can do that too. With those two on the court the rest of the guys will get easier looks and easier baskets. Sengun is definitely one of the best screeners too, he seals the other guys very well .
Best moments with Gasol, yes, but plenty of good moments with any competent big, and great moments with really good bigs like Ibaka, Pascal,JV, and Jacob. People forget that the Raptors didn't have a solid experienced center for several years after they lost Gasol and Ibaka until they got Poetle back.Absolutely affected Vanvleet, and the whole team.
Eventually it will be Sengun and Amen. I am intrigued by Sengun and Jabari's potential as a duo. I think Sengun still has a lot of athletic potential that needs to be developed. If he can unlock some hidden athleticism and develop a 3 pt shot he can be better than Jokic! A lot of if's.....
I'm thinking Jabari will be Sengun's cutter to the basket with KJM gone. Jabari can pass too. Amen and FVV are going to make chemistry with players also. I won't be surprised if Amen ends up being the best playmaker on the team but we have a need for Fred's spot up 3 point shooting too.
"Most informed" part is 100% true. I expect FVV and Sengun to be capable of unlocking any defense they come across. They may be most efficient duo in the league.
Sabonis has like no creativity when doing dho or initiating the offense. ALP is one of the most creative passers/offensive players the league has seen in a long time. Reminds me a lot of when ginobli came into the league. So creative and unique. Pop said “In the beginning, he would do some things that I thought were unnecessary until that point came when he came to me and said, ‘I am Manu. This is what I do.’ I said, ‘OK, you go ahead and try to save one or two of those passes per game and I’m going to shut up one or two times when they happen during the game.’ We came to this compromise and it’s been lovey dovey ever since.” IME coming from the pop tree, I expect him to do the same thing with ALP.
Frank great observations of Fred working great with Marc gasol, I hadn't really thought of that. But with every great point guard, there's a great center. The foundation to a team.
@@MoonMANgod I miss the zbo days. My fav player. I always thought the PF should be the main inside scorer and playmaker and the 5 the main rim protector
Dunno if you saw the highlight video the Rockets youtube channel uploaded a couple of days ago on Sengun's passes, but I noticed from that that he and Tate have really good chemistry too, play off each other well.
I agree with your opinion on Fred VanVleet being a great combo with Alperan. My view is its compounding. The setup of Fred, Jalen, Alperan, good coaching will make them improve as a trio. It's like a synergy of that trio. And actually if we are lucky I thing a great duo already forming is Jabari and Tari Eason. So we will always have some sort of built in cohesive play among several groups of guys the coach can go to. Giving us a deep bench.
Personally, I liked the guard and power forward big man combo like the old days. Fred not even 6'1 he look like cp 5'11-6'0. So many duos Conley zbo and zbo wasn't as gifted a playmaker he was a solid passer later on but not young. But when you look at zbo Conley yeah mark does some of the playmaking to but in terms of screens assists and hand offs from the post zbo set Conley up for a lot of shots
Great analysis, I'm a Raptors fan, but keep track of former Raptors players, and that occasionally lets me find good people like you who follow other teams.
At some point in all these games you're going to have Vleet, Thompson, Brooks, Tari, & Bari on the floor. What you say? I'm talking Guantanamo Bay!! 23 hour lockdown. Putting cases on all you b*tches!! Yeah... that type of D. Pause. Amen & Sengun 🎼 🎙sleep sleep in heaven Heavenly peace🎶🎵🎤
how many behind the back pass or face up dribble slams/pass Gasol has done in his career? probably Gasol's whole career is equal to Sengun's few years on those stats. so no he is different enough on that respect. he is a mix between Sabonis and Jokic at this moment and has some flashes of Giannis. IMO
FVV is trash. Is he a lot better than Daishen Nix? Sure. Will he be an upgraded facilitator over say KPJ trying to run point? Yeah. But a 6ft tall PG who is a below the rim player doesn't tend to excel in this modern NBA. Hopefully he is JUST a facilitator.
Trash is crazy....dude has been a fringe all star last couple years and won a chip(albeit back up, but was better than Lowry at that point)...he's not great, but he's a extremely solid starting point guard

Passes: Jokic
Footwork: Kevin McHale
Dribbling: Antetokounmpo
Basketball iq: Marc Gasol
this is the current skill set
I agree Frank, Fred will bring playmaking and Iq , and we know sengun can do that too. With those two on the court the rest of the guys will get easier looks and easier baskets. Sengun is definitely one of the best screeners too, he seals the other guys very well .
Yea Fred had his best moments with marc gasol on the floor
If VanVleet’s best moments are from a few yrs ago then that’s not saying much. He didn’t even shoot 40% last season which is his career FG%.
Best moments with Gasol, yes, but plenty of good moments with any competent big, and great moments with really good bigs like Ibaka, Pascal,JV, and Jacob.

Jokic isn’t considered the most athletic yet he seems to be doing just fine…..!
Another great episode! Yall dont ever miss! I appreciate yall providing great content as always! Looking forward to the next!
Much appreciated!
I tink Jalen and Sengun is going to be special, but yeah Tari and Jabari are gonna be fun to watch. Low key, Amen and Alperen may be a great pairing.
Amen and Alperen probably have the best court vision on the whole roster. I can see us trading off Brooks and FVV after our young guys step up a bit.
"Most informed" part is 100% true.

Finally some love for Sengun, everyone has been bashing him since summer league.
Imagine hating on their cornerstone players. What a fanbase smfh.
@@-Yu_Tsugami they just wanna see high flying stuff no one likes old school now a days
@@ninjaoftherift1620 agreed, and old school is what actually wins ships as proven by Jokic.
@@-Yu_Tsugami I don’t get how people just saw what Jokic did and still turn their backs on Sengun

Thanks for getting us through the off season. Appreciate it
Our pleasure!

That's true but I think he had more assists to KMJ.
Dude I’ve been watching your vids recently n I gotta say I like what u preach!

Good points, I am more hyped after watching this podcast.
Looks like we have picked up some Raptor fans. Really like what they have to say about FVV.

Amen & Sengun 🎼 🎙sleep sleep in heaven Heavenly peace🎶🎵🎤
I already know this video fixing to be 🔥
My pair is Tari and Jabari. Those two are a special duo. But i wanna show some love to the potential magic of Amen with Jabari.
What’s up Frank!
You have some of the best takes my guy….some basketball podcasters literally have the IQ of casuals
KPJ & Amen 🙏🏾
Sengun is gasol. Very close to him more than anybody else

@@boroborable that’s not really relevant lmao
One thing about Gasol and Sengun is they could both have the nickname "Scruffy".
more you create duos in the team more you have chance to make play offs .. defensive duo, offensive duo .. big to big, small to big, small to small
brooks and van vleet could stunt the rockets young core development
I don't think Ime will let that happen and I see Brooks falling in the rotation after a few months. Maybe even traded if Ime thinks we don't need him.
🔥🚀🤘🏾
Good ting mon
For the 40 and change a year you’re paying him he better work out.
🤘🏾

I dont think he trash.. he aint thew best PG in the world, but he a starter on any contender in the NBA.. thats a big deal for a team like us.

FVV is a good spot up 3 point shooter. Probably second only to KPJ.
