The only thing i liked about that film, is that they showed, that a guy and a girl can be bestfriends without having romantic feelings for each other. But thats about it...
I liked it but their friendship was super toxic and I hated that, it wasn’t so hard to make a normal friendship
I kinda hate how pretty much everything nowadays is seen as sexual. Most modern viewers of LOTR would think Frodo and Sam were in a relationship, like can't friends love eachother?
The whole concept of love is only used in a romantic way and that fricken sucks.
A romantic thing between them could have been better than that friendship they have

There are a lot of clearly too old to be in high school actors in this film (and sequel), the actress that plays Rachel is 30 and she’s not even the oldest looking - she kind of passed until the sequel.

I liked how this movie showed that guys and girls can both be friends but every character was pretty toxic in this film. Lee was too controlling, Noah had anger issues, and Elle was selfish. I mean I still like this movie like a guilty pleasure but I don't like how they made light of sexual assault and anger issues.
Oh also I did like the second one but man Elle madd me mad in that one a lot. I feel like with both the first movie and second movie a lot of things can be solved with communication. But I still like these movies. I even bought the book.

I don't really watch movies, and really don't like cheesy romance movie (I do like romance just not MOST romance focused movies) but I like watching you watch em. It just makes the entire thing a not waste of time.

Lee is a possessive manipulator and with his unhealthy obsession with Elle he would be a terrible boyfriend. I mean you saw what happened. Elle started dating Noah and he talked down to her and treated her like a slut and like a dumb baby who can't think for herself. And what bothered me the most and really what should be bothering everybody the most is the part where he gets in his car and talks about Noah always getting everything he wants and how he was happy because Elle was the only thing he had that Noah didn't have. That is extremely creepy and a disgusting way of thinking. He acts as though she is some object who belongs to him that Noah doesn't have a right to have. Their relationships would just be her bowing down to him, catering to his every want and need while he whines and complains about everything. He would be good to her as long as she did what she said but like what we saw in the movie he would distance himself from her and completely shut her out not wanting anything to do with her if she did even the slightest thing that he didn't like. And she'd keep begging and pleading for forgiveness until he finally came back to her and the whole thing would start all over again. If you think I'm being overdramatic I'm not. I've dated guys like him and that's exactly how it goes.

All of the characters in this movie are the worst. Noah is a psychopath, lee is possessive and just as controlling as Noah, and Ell isn't loyal to her best friend by not telling him what happened
does no one think that portraying the entire school as straight is homophobic, they added one gay character for the sake of gaining audience instead of just being all inclusive
I don't think it's homophobic because it's literally reality that not in every Highschool is a gay couple or people that are gay. And no one complained about it in movies from 5 years ago so everyone should calm down, not all things that doesn't mention lgbtq+ is homophobic
