I own 2 of this bike (one from my mother and i bought rhe other one) but they both have the screws of the cap air filter impossible to remove because the theaded insert has dissociated.
I can't say it will fix the problem, but I did manage to get the cover off when mine started spinning by heating the bits the screws go into with a soldering iron, and it sort of melted back into place.... Attempt at your own risk!!!
@@OneBoysDreamFilm Thanks for your answer! I tried to heat the screws too and it worked for getting them out. Then applied some glue but it didn't worked well. I'll try to melt it as you did
@@romaindus9740 best of luck, if it comes to it, you can replace the air box. found this video that might help you replace the threads. ua-cam.com/video/mDfHqMqvOCw/v-deo.html
@@romaindus9740 another option is to use self tapping screws to hold the air box cover on but I don't think they would stand up very well to many air filter changes
Another good video. I hope you make some more CB videos soon.
Just stumbled across your channel, I’m enjoying the cb500 videos as I’ve got a 2002 model.
Thanks
Thanks a lot mate for your presentation video of air and oil change
