I have a Tantive IV toy from the 90s that I just found again in my parents basement after about 20 years. The batteries still work, unbelievably. Made me tear up a bit.
And for those of you like me who played the classic video game X-WING on a PC around 1994-95, there was a cutscene whereas a CR-90 was used to penetrate through the towers of 4 Star destroyers in which was just awesome.
Was anyone here during title here. Edit:was it a mistake or on purpose,I’m starting to question reality itself. Was this his real master plan,to confuse us and strike us when we least suspect it?
CR-90 is definitely one of my favorite starships. It was suppoused to be the Millenium Falcom but looked too similar to the Eagle II from the tv show, Space:1999.
And when they scaled it up to make it into the CR90, the the 4-man cockpit was replaced by a hammerhead bridge, which significantly reduced the resemblance to the Eagle.
The ship in my opinion it was just a ship that was lended to the rebels by a company and only saw it as a blockade runner, now it is in of my favorite cruisers behind the hammer-head class
man, i just love *TITLE HERE.* its just such a unique and informative video, and my favorite video called *TITLE HERE.* honestly, i think *TITLE HERE* is just underrated. well now the video got a real title
Right at 4:00 there is an extra take that didn't get clipped and i feel honored for getting to see a little behind the operation 😊 almost like a blooper. Cheers and Merry Christmas!
I absolutely adore how the CR-90 is not only one of the coolest and most aesthetically pleasing ships in all of Star Wars, but its also incredibly practical and versatile, to the point of it being one of the absolute best ships in its class
The CR-90 wasn’t great, It was hard to get around and find anything on it. “If this is a consular ship, where is the ambassador?” - frustrated visitor.
I love the ship even more. The feature that it's easy to customize and have bigger hangers or rooms for passengers or anything for what you want to use it for. Nice. Great vid
Yrsthe CR-90 is my favorite ship, now more than ever!! Just by watching the original trilogy and the prequel films I would’ve never guessed the blockade runner was so customizable!!!! I ❤️ that ship!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I truly like this ship! It is relatively affordable (compared to behemoths like the ISD or even the Venator!), it is fast, durable, well armed (it only needs to have a few things fixed to make it a true star: The bridge gets moved deeper inside the ship (exposed bridges suck and nobody needs a freaking bridge-window! A screen is enough!), the pocket-carrier-thing becomes standard (but it doesn't carry fighters, but instead two heavily modified YT-2000 Freighters that serve as gunboats/escorts and shuttles if needed!), there are weapons added to cover the blind spot...and it gets some concussion-missile tubes and proton-torpedo-launchers!)....still, my favourite ship for personal use is still the YT-2000 (better than the Falcon because of the center-mounted cockpit, can be as heavily modified (without breaking down and incompatible hardware! Damned, Han your ship truly is a piece of fucking junk!))
Pretty sure the title just an accident but hey it might just work the youtube system with the amount of activity it getting so soon after being uploaded XD
Love the awe inspiring name of this video. All jokes aside, *SPOILER ALERT FOR RISE OF SKYWALKER* Anyone else wondering how Palpatine is in Rise of Skywalker? Did he transfer his soul into a clone body or what he brought back from a Sith ritual? Keep up the great videos, you guys are awesome!
My only wish this christmas is for generation tech to do a planet overview series going over the history and features of notable planets and the beings that live on them that would be so cool in my opinion.
5:21 The blind spot could be easily compensated for by the ship either pitching up or down or banking sharply. In X-Wing you could easily exploit the blind spot of corvettes. In Tie Figher the corvettes would pitch and bank to bring their guns to bear on you if you did too much damage to the shields. I don't know why modern games don't do that.
I destroyed many CR-90s during my days as an Imperial pilot in Star Wars Galaxies. Those engine blind spots really let you just sit back there and pump the ship full of proton torpedoes.
These also made decent anti fighter platforms when armed right and fighting as a group. Least that's how I used them all the time in "Empire at War" too... sure wasnt as flashy and fancy as a Lancer but just as effective. Wouldn't ever trust them against most anything else on their own though.. as wouldnt it take like an Armada of them to take out a Star Destroyer without help??
yeah but there role was to take on fighters and ships in its own class that might go for big lumbering capitol ships. Its ideal role was to excort larger ships and outmanouver opposing ones to deal damage
@@persuisixh4804 that might be a name that DOESN'T mean it's BEST for that role... Or any good at it. We all saw how well that ship "outran" just one SD in pursuit an coming from just one direction.. now imagine perhaps many multiple ships coming in from perhaps several directions and converging. An we didn't even see the usual ALOT faster an more agile fighter escorts that logically would be on patrol. Just that alone woulda been too much for a small lone ship with its mother ship. Which we all know would be what the SD would probably do. This is bout only time we DON'T see them launch pursuit craft an try to chase when they can. I.e. plot demands.
@@robertagu5533 2 things, one is that yes, in a new hope, we see that the empire does not launch fighters and probably could have caught them sooner if it had, but that could be explained by the fact that is was chasing the tantive 4 through hyperspace and its escort fighters were probably still at scarif, as they dont have hyperdrives. second is that the isd damaged the tantive 4's engines at the battle a scarif a little, and then a lot over tatooine. I think he needs voice lessons. the voice is kinda muffled. it would make it clearer. no ill intent with my observation, thouhh
@Quasar you should see some of Lore Star’s introductions to his videos.

I honestly love the CR90, it's not only a beautiful ship I love how modular the ship is and how many things it can do.

I was 5 in 1977. When I first saw the Tantive V, I was hooked for life.
My favorite ship will always be the Dreadnought-class Heavy Cruiser
Bruh what an amazing title I’m MIND BLOWN
Every time he refers to Leia;s CR90 he calls it the Tantive "v" 4. IT IS THE "TANTIVE 4"
He is saying Tanti-Ve, which is a correct pronunciation. It's a similar case to A-T-A-T vs at at.

Either that, or stick giant rearview mirrors just outside the cockpit. 😀 (And don't give me flak about that-- it's meant as a joke.)
