  • I am just doing another update on my NA6 miata GSXR750 ITB. The main update is the intake manifold. I'm still using a chopped intake manifold but this time I got a friend of mine to weld in 48x44 round aluminum pipe to the manifold so that I can get a solid clamp on it.
So Instead clamping down into a oval shape, now it'll be a circular shape. So much better.
If you want to skip straight to the induction sound at RPM, skip to 8.01 in the video.
    This event was recent (6/29/23)
Too bad my go pro didn't record (or user error) all my track time.

Thank you for uploading these, your older videos inspired me to put together a similar setup (gsxr600 itbs with 45° silicone couplers to make space for an ITG filter) these past few months and have been trying to fit them for a few weeks. chasing vacuum leaks is quite annoying but in the end it will be worth it.
Definitely gonna try the feeler gauge trick, didn't think of that!

It'll definitely be worth it once you find the vacuum leak and get it running. I never had any vacuum leak from my 1st intake manifold, as I stated. I just wanted the manifold to be more circular (better for clamps) than the oval shape.

what are you doing for the pcv and breather? how do you supply vacuum to the pcv valve? Love your setup, plan on doing something very similar for my 97

      Thanks!.
I used to route the pcv hose into one of the barb on the throttle body. Then, later, I just ditched the pcv valve and am currently using a open barbed hose (same size as the pcv valve) and routing both the hose on the valve cover to an oil catch can.
You'll love it! It's pretty cool, and bike throttles are a little more affordable

Hello, as always nice video, small, maybe dumb question, any reason why you used 04/05 gsxr750 ITB ?
Would the same RIG work with 06/07 ITB ?

      Thanks!
The 04-05 GSXR750 are spaced differently from the 06-07.
The 04-05 GSXR750 spacing: 75-80-75 (it's the closest mating point to the 1.6 intake manifold & a little more wider between the throttles)
The 06-07 GSXR750 spacing: 80-80-80 (a little more narrow between the throttles)

The 06-07 can work, it is a little off due to how narrow the throttles are. The 06-07 comes with duel injector ports. So, if you don't use any of the injector ports, you have more injector ports to fill up.

@@jimyang6951 thanks a lot for your time, it's kinda hard to find k4 k5 itb but I will keep looking I'm not in a rush. 👍

My car is currently in storage for the winter. I'm on my 5th revision so I'll dyno it next yr and do an update.

just FYI based on your innovate gauge there you are waaaay rich. assuming you have autotune in tunerstudio, you can safely aim for a 13.2 - 13.5 AFR.

My tuner and i tried. Believe me, we did. But everything can't be perfect. We all can't give what we think the engine needs. We need to give what the engine needs

@@jimyang6951 interesting. I've heard the gauge display on those can not match your actual ECU reading if they aren't grounded at the same location because of a voltage offset.

      Yes, that is true.
I used a few different ones, and they're always .1 to .3 off.
My tuner and I don't read/tune off the gauge. We go with What the ecu is putting out when tuning
