That was...... different.... unexpected..... and strangely refreshing after the very forgettable stories I've heard the past several months.... well done to whoever wrote this... well done...
Such a different, and good, story. Thank you, for that. Side note; I know why aliens will never speak to us; I started this story, and heard about the sad songs, and the massive ship, and weapons that so surpass "ours", and immediately thought, how do we kill it.
cough on them. the amount of times first contact has annihilated native cultures on earth. shit, do you think our bacteria couldnt wipe out an alien species. the great influenza made convid look like a hiccup fit (influenza 15mil to 50mil dead) nearly lasted a century, finally ended in the 1970s in russia.
First of all, I have to apologize for being too quick to judge in my last comment. THE STORY IS REALLY GOOD. I was tired after several night shifts and I'm not a native English speaker. Not the best conditions to pass judgment. Thanks to the answers I received, I listened to the story again (well rested) AND ENJOYED IT. Thank you very much. the last comment: (I know that it takes a long time for stories written by AI to finally get to the point. It's halfway through the story now, I'm getting a little annoyed and am leaving now. AI's are blabbermouth.)
I didn't quite catch it. beautiful oblivion by scott buckley is the only playing when they meed the grave keeper or the one playing when the bodies got returned? I wonder if that music actually exists.
I think it's when they meet the grave keeper, I listen to the music it really fit the scenes in the story and it has no lyrics unlike the song describe when the bodies got returned.. hope this helps and sorry for the bad grammar and spelling if there's any 😅

I was listening passively but after the eulogy I sat up! This is an amazing story.
Very touching story! Congrats.👍🏻
Isn´t this the fate of everyone being left without any friends? Just leave...

If 15mins is what you consider a long time in story telling you should stick to children's books
@@YouAreSleepyToo yes. I was a bit impatient today. sorry;)
@@sasud.5419 While I agree, AI's do get a bit wordy, I think this is one of the few stories I actually enjoyed.
You’ve got my vote for most wholesome comment follow up of the month.

barely listened to the start and immediately realized that it was describing the (american) national anthem (star spangled banner).
Very good story. I would love to hear the second part, if there is one……
