there is one universal truth of all veteran Outer Wilds players: we all love going around and seeing people experience this game for the first time. Cause it really is at it's most impactful on your first play through
It’s one of those games I’ve ever played in my entire life that I wished I could have my memory completely erased so I can play it for the first time again
34:58 at the center of a planet you will be in fact weightless, since you're being pulled at from all sides instead of 'down'. The closer you get to the center the less you'll weigh since there's more mass above you. The game is surprisingly accurate with it physics. The whole solar system is simulated in real-time.
This game blew my mind out of rhe water. As I played, I forgot I was even playing a game. It felt like I was there with the player character, in their ship, following alongside them on all the different planets and moons and stations. This really was an incredible experience
I understand how this style of game can not work for some people but I mainly blame that on games usually holding players hands way to much or them just being the type of person that wants everything explained to them and basically be on a rollercoaster where you can't really miss anything and don't need to think yourself. This game can be finished in 10 minutes if you know what to do. you don't get items for exploring or powerups. You can go everywhere and all that stops you is not knowing certain things. The reward for exploring is finding out what's going on and what happened in this star system. I get how for some people that isn't enough or that maybe you need to read to much but overall this game manages to fill me with a sense of wonder and even acceptance for the inevitable because at some point everything is going to come to an end and that's ok.
So glad to have found your outer wilds journey just as it starts. This isn't a game, it's an experience. Be curious and keep on traveling fellow traveler 😁
1:04:24 You never did interact with the ball exhibit in the center there, showing the gravity simulation of the game. Ive only seen one person do it, but if you stand in one place and keep jumping you will very slowly move in the opposite direction to the planets spin :) they went all out with the physics in this one.
One of my favorites. This game is the GOAT. My best advice is to take NO advice and just enjoy your journey. Make your own assumptions and theories. Be careful asking rhetorical questions because someone in the comments here just might answer 😢 I love that you saw right at the end as it happened. A lot of first timers are sadly in a building/cave and miss it entirely.
It does have some nice music. Haven't played it, but enjoy watching others play it. First time I've seen someone smile so much playing. Sorry if I watched this ahead of schedule, it came up to watch at the end of the most recent Mass Effect episode.
No worries! I am grateful for you pointing it out actually, because that's not the playlist I intended to share, and I'm not sure why it was chosen as end credits.
I love this game, it is so unique with all the feels. It is kind of hard though, and takes a lot of planning and determination to figure out next steps. Well worth the journey but it can be frustrating at times.
Mother of gooooooooood I love this game. Unfortunately I haven’t finished it myself so I’ll only be able to watch the first hour or two, depending where you head off to in the game. But I’ll absolutely love hearing and seeing what you think of it. By far my favourite ever game experience. I don’t think any other game captures the feeling of “whoa, space” as good as this game Edit: oh durh, just read the description. “Sense of wonder” yep exactly. It’s amazing how much it achieves with so little. I’d take that first launch into space on your little ship over any AAA blockbuster videogame setpiece any day
Game of the year for many of my friends when it released. I cna't stress enough though that if you enjoy self discovery you'll need to be REALLY careful about the comments section. It's very easy to accidentally spoil this sort of open problem solving.
>Exploring by yourself In fact that's the best part of the game as far as I'm concerned. Exploring, discovering mysteries, attempting to solve them... All good to me :) Most of the game mechanics is awesome too. >7:25 That does not bode well for your first voyage... does it? XD Fortunately, the real thing is less trouble to control :) >"Ducted. Love it!" If only all repairs were that simple :D >1:13:10 OK, let's forget what I said about the real thing being easier to control. Obviously that depends on the pilot XD >1:33:00 Generally, when you're about to land, you switch to landing mode "before" crashing so you can control the landing better :D At least you still haven't exploded :) >"Is it our sun? Why is it so red?" The colder a star is, the redder it gets (the hotter, the bluer). That's the basic explanation. The surface temperature of a red star is about half that of our own sun while that of a blue star can be twice as much. The difference is due to the kind of thermonuclear reactions happening inside the star and is a rough indicator of the period a star is at in its life cycle. Blue stars are young, red are old and yellow/white like our sun are somewhere in the middle. >1:38:35 And there... you wanted to know why the sun was getting redder and redder? It's because it was about to go supernova... unrealistically fast :D And there's the timeloop... And this is the part I'm not really fond of. But that's just me. However it was so great seeing you laughing a lot and enjoying your time with this game :D And because there's no voice over to speak of, we get to enjoy your voice much more than usual, which is plus to me. You might need more tea for future episodes though, we wouldn't want that voice to be lost somewhere XD Cheer up space cadet, onto the next one. Let's hope you'll stop bouncing your ship on landing... eventually XD
@@LieraPlays You're definitely not invulnerable :) I seem to remember that the ship can be repaired if you bang it too much. You have to walk on the hull and see what got damaged -- same you did in the cave while training :)
Well, most likely the translater tool takes whatever Nomai symbol or list of symbols is used to represent the moon, and translates it into the Hearthien name for it.
I just saw this pop up, but I paused it immediately. I want to do a blind play and I don't even know what it is. Ill be back to watch yours after I do it. In currently working on other series after a long UA-cam break.
It looks like all the commenters, as well as myself, are still always on the lookout for ppl playing this game for the first time :D Enjoy the journey!!!
What I love about watching first time play throughs of Outer Wilds is the player making innocuous statements that have such big...meaning...later. 🙂 Also, the WTF DID I JUST EXPERIENCE when [REDACTED] happens. :-)
Hab Dich schon in diesem bezaubernden LP. Take my hand and ....let me breath. Ein kleiner Funken - wächst zu einem Sonnenfeuer. Dieses Spiel STRAHLT !!!! Liebe, Freundschaft und wer Du bist. Wer bist DU? A shining in the darkness. Glimmering in the darkest night. The light you see and never can reach. Even a footstep. You never can catch her hand. Only in dreams. Filme, Musik und Spiele, für immer. Ja, auch dieses Spiel. Never forget. Now, with you. It´s me a Honor. Die Liebe und das Leben ....
I don't know if anyone told you that before - but you should be careful not to stumble apon the DLC content. If you have been warned before - thats great! enjoy the game
I'm obsessed with space so I kno ill love this but can you compare this game a Lil bit with no man's sky? That's one of my all time favorites. And ofcourse Starfield
Haven't really dug into Starfield. I'd say, if you're looking at the exploration and mystery of NMS, then this isn't far off. There's no survival aspect of this though besides making sure your oxygen is up, and no building, which I think are a pretty big parts of NMS. I would still say that this one is very unique in itself. It doesn't limit you in any way besides not having some hints you could have, but it's both a blessing and a curse :D
You know I hadn't noticed it until watching this that this game is very non-binary friendly, with the Hearthians saying they, them, themself, as far as I'm aware only the Nomai have actually said he/she, I mean granted that's the only other civilization you hear of in the game but still
I think I saw an interview where one of the people who worked on the game talked about how the hearthians are genderless. I somehow went through the whole game without realizing that they only referred to themselves in that way.

Hello fellow traveler, you doing good?
È proprio così, viaggiatore.
i suggest you the run of sabaku no maiku and cydonia, best runs of this amazing game that i've ever seen
I use twitch just to watch live streams of outer wilds. Its so amazing
When someone spends over an hour in the tutorial section, you just KNOW they're gonna love this game.
9:39 Actually, that was one of the best first times flying the model ship i have ever seen. Most people struggle way more with it.

The timing of the music when you commented on how red the sun is.
*Chefs kiss*

LOVE the way you are playing this, letting your curiosity drive you more than your gaming instincts.

Your voice is so calming. I think this is going to be an easy thing to listen to in the background. I’m so excited for you to enjoy this play through.

Good point about rhetorical questions... I tend to do that a lot, and have gotten myself in trouble before haha

I can definitely see the frustration being part of it. :)
I come back to this stream a lot ❤️ your voice is so calming and this game is so so so precious to me. Thanks for the fantastic content ✨🌟
Yeeees! A new playthrough! I can't wait to watch it all, much love from the Outer Wilds community

I appreciate the warning, because I absolutely love the discovery!

After 15 attempts I still cannot control the model ship.
Well done.
This game is from another planet. A small planet for a human but a big planet for gaming.
Good luck! I believe that you will have a huge channel

@@LieraPlays I love your reactions to Mass Effect. Especially events like Mordin.
Yeeessss!! One of the best games i’ve ever played ❤ this is going to be amazing.
if you havent noticed already have a longerlook at the title screen when you start the game

This game is perfect. Thanks for remind me, dowbloading now ❣

@@LieraPlays hahah good job! Love the channel!
The sad truth about this game is that the only way you can replay it is by watching somone else
